My mom had 2 reverse mortgages with AAG. The decision was the right one at the time but she did not not fully understand what she signed. After her passing in 2021 the loan was already passed to RMFLLC. The family complied with all documents needed to sell the property and pay off loan. A contract to sell was forwarded to RMF in 5/2022 and signed contract faxed in 7/2022. 3 weeks later RMF lawyers foreclosed on property charging an additional legal fee of over$4K. This was almost 3 months after a contract to sell property was signed! Beware of this company along with AAG. Neither company will take responsibility, they just want the property to sell and keep all as seats!
I am 67 years old, I live alone. Since my fixed social security is my only source of income, I needed some help with bills. My prescription medications alone cost me over $15,000/year. I was always curious about reverse mortgages. I had heard pros & cons. I decided to check them out. After reviewing the top listed companies, I decided upon AAG. Once I got started I felt a bit overwhelmed with all the paperwork required. But I was lucky to have Mr. Cristoano Salgueiro as my loan advisor. Cristoano made the process stress free. He explained everything in simple detail, was very patient with quick response time. A True Professional in every sense. I am happy to write this review. I would, and have already referred AAG to family, friends, and real estate agents. I am VERY SATISFIED.

I had a positive experience with AAG in obtaining a reverse mortgage. Every step of the process was made easy with the help of a professional and personable mortgage originator, loan processor and the closing agent. Because of their efficiency, my experience proved to be stress free and successful. After closing, I was left with assurance that my financial concerns during the twilight of my life will be met.

AAG was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Following my mothers death, I inherited her home and the attendant problems with dealing with AAG. After following AAG's requirements to the letter, I incurred thousands of dollars in legal fees to get AAG to honor their own responsibility. The fact there was more than $250,000 in equity had nothing to do with their continual threats of foreclosure (Not!)
They were everything people fear in a reverse mortgage lender. I have a reverse mortgage with Longbridge Financial and have not experienced a similar lack of integrity. In my experience, this company, AAG, is one to avoid when securing an otherwise useful product. Search elsewhere.

Took me over 30days, speaking to at least a dozen employees to get AAG to rectify not following disbursements in accordance with theHUD closing statement. Some people, including a department head, would not return my calls after I left "important messages. Most of the time the reps just had me call or transferred me to another person. I have compiled, in chronological order, my SAGA and would share same with any AAG Official!

We had been thinking about a reverse mortgage and reached out to a couple of companies when we contacted AAG and encountered a wonderful person named Aline Simon. She made everything crystal clear and help us navigate through the process with care, concern and speed! This was the best mortgage process we have ever been through and we would enthusiastically recommend that anyone contemplating a reverse mortgage to just start with AAG. No need to look anywhere else. They are AWESOME. Thank God we found them.

It took several months to complete the reverse mortgage process, but you were very patient in explaining the entire thing. Every question I had was answered with great knowledge. The experience was a lot more pleasant than I thought it might be. Thank you so much!

Our Agent, Steve Saltz, was absolutely amazing, communicated well, and really worked for us.
BUT - the underwriting, the processing, the length of time, the conditions, the whole process took FAR too long, the fees kept going up and up, and it seemed like management and underwriting did everything they could to jack up the prices, extend closing for more fees, and it was frustrating and disgusting what AAG does to its potential clients. They are lucky to have Steve to communicate and work on our behalf. My loan took 4 months, but my friend who started at the same time took NINE MONTHS AND $30,000 MORE IN FEES DUE TO PROCESSING DROPPING THE BALL.

The person that helped me was great. Had to get two appraisal for loan. That took a long time. Also they required a Lisa account for property taxes. I was able to apply to have property taxes waved from county because I am disabled. They still keep more than 20k in an account to pay taxes that will never be paid.
Very sad to have money tied up like that.

Answer: My Loan Officer always immediately answered my calls and texts. There were several times when he left a voice message on not only my personal number, but he also took the time to leave a second message at my business number. "Above and beyond" service!
