I was hoping to finally find a pair of women's sneakers to find out they run small. This was my first pair and I was really excited. When they came, I was so upset that they were too small. I bought the biggest size that they sell in women's so I would have to get a men's. Most likely will try a men's but really like the women colors.
Bought a pair, didnt fit, the return process on line wouldn't work. Was told to forward info in email.a month later im being blanked everywhere. Rip off company. Avoid
Got the Smith Boot. Love the running shoes, but this is poor. Very uncomfortable and definitely not worth the price. Hope it gets better with some wear. Will not order this particular shoe again.
Update: Since contacting them almost two weeks ago, I haven't received a refund and will have to contact them again after "10 business days." Don't order from them directly, their parent company IconFitness (or whatever it's called) has terrible customer service. Order from another retailer to avoid this refund nightmare.
Since I've had consistent difficulty in finding shoes that fit me (size us 4.5-5 depending), I heard Altra was a candidate and decided to try them. I tried ordering off Zappos at first but my purchase was declined due to an overzealous credit card monitoring. So I ordered from them directly and the products were shipped quickly, but oddly three shoes in three separate boxes (seems to not be cost effective, but what do I know about merchandising, warehousing and shipping, right?). Unfortunately, they were still too big so I requested a return and was given three separate return shipping labels. I shipped them back and they arrived, but did not hear from them about the refund for a month. I got no confirmation that they received the return or that my refund is forthcoming. I emailed them after the month wait and they responded, but offered no apology. What if I had forgotten? It seemed like I would never have received a refund. I just find it shady when you, the customer have to remind businesses to refund you. It's like they're counting on people who forgot. If they were annoyed about the shipping costs, they can maybe consolidate having to ship shoes separate and/or charge a flat fee for returns like some retailers.
I had problems finding the size of shoe that fit me, but the Altra staff made it easy to exchange shoes until I found the right size. They were always courteous and friendly!
Will not order from this site anymore, ordered the same brand for my wife from amazon recived in 2 days. Took 9 days threw altra.
According to the carrier the shoes were damaged. Now Im waiting for the next shipment. Nothing special at all from Altra to solve the issue that wasnt my fault.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Sure wish I would have read reviews sooner.
Won a gift card after finishing 2nd in a 70.3 so I am new to Altra products. Will continue feedback once I receive products. Looking forward to trying.
I bought these shoes for my son. He is flat footed and wears orthotics. The mid part of the shoe is too narrow to accommodate an orthotic device.
Never an issue with ordering online. Return is easy if needed. Only wish I could find the entire line of shoes locally, since sizes differ between models and shoe design. But the company is wonderful and they make the best running shoes around for your feet.

I love Altra shoes! I have bought 10 pairs. I am wearing
4 of those pairs now with one pair on order. Love the comfort, fit particularly the box toe. They wear well. I also the different styles to meet different types of activities.
I have been asked about them many times out in public. Please keep doing what you are doing.
I love Altra! Altra makes the best shoes and are always so helpful whenever I have needed help exchanging sizes or models to find the perfect fit. I dont intend to ever wear another brand of running shoe. Thank you!

I used to have to search for D/W and even WW, but because of their design Altra fit. I also bought a pair of Altra leather non-running shoes, which are just as wonderful. I'm so happy to finally find shoes that consistently fit and are good for my feet and affordable. Great company too. Yay!
I have tried all kinds of shoes to fit my wider feet but the mainstream just doesn't work. I have been left to only buy Clarke shoes which are great but not really light or made for performance. Further, the New Balance box toes didn't fit the bill either, just not boxy enough. In comes the Altra on a recommendation from a friend and I have found the shoe. It fits, it's light, and it's great on performance. I now have four pairs of Altras and have earned the wrath of my wife for so many, but I've told her these will last a long time since they're built so well.
Stoked to pick up another pair of shoes from Altra! Ive been wearing Superiors, Lone Peaks, and most recently the Timps. These new King Mts are yet another stellar shoe for anyone that wants to be active outdoors! I can backpack and play softball in the same pair of shoes!
I've worn Altra shoes for the last five years. I believe they are the very best shoe for performance and good foot health. The customer service people are very knowledgeable about the product and the web site is incredibly easy to use... highly recommended!
