Altra Running

I really love their shoes. I have worn the Torrin, Lone Peak, Superior, The One 2, and the Escalante. Love the zero drop and wide forefoot! But every time I order a pair it's always hit or miss. My last order I checked out as a guest and ordered a pair and never got a confirmation email. My credit card was processing the order but it never went through. Huge bummer, I ordered again and it finally went through but now it's 4 days later. I also always seem to get shoes with too short laces. Never long enough to double knot them. My Lone Peak 2.5 had long laces and now my new 3.5 have short laces in the same size. I ordered a pair of The One a few years back and one lace was long and the other was short. So bizarre. Everytime I send an email or a tweet to Altra to send me new laces I never hear back. Get it figured out please!

Great shoes! I've been through 4 pairs (three were the superior 3.0s, one Timps). I hiked the entire Appalachian Trail with Altras. I roughly got 550 miles on each pair. Probably less milage that normal wear, that trail can be tough on shoes (The White Mountains and Northern PA) these were the most comfortable shoes! Good on the knees and my feet felt great in the big toe box. Definitely try them on and talk to a specialist on sizing and technique to optimize your running.

I am baffled that no other running shoe company has created a shoe that actually mimics the shape of a foot and allows for natural toe spread. I've had chronic metatarsalgia, primarily due to toeboxes that aren't actually made to fit natural foot shape. Thank you Altra!

Followed their fit guide and shoe recommendation guide and ordered two different models so I could compare the difference in cushion and comfort.

Both models fit perfectly and I haven't had any trouble so far with sending a return of the one I decided wouldn't work for me.

My husband is running the 2018 Boston marathon this year and he saw the Boston Escalante shoes on your site a while back. Try as we might, they were all out of stock for his size, everywhere! He was so upset because he loves his Altras and wanted those particular shoes so bad. Thankfully they have been offered again and his size was in stock. I got the email and jumped on that purchase. He received them them other day and ran with them this morning. He loves them and is excited he snagged a pair so he can wear them in Boston. The ordering was quick and effortless and the delivery was fast and easy. Thank you so much! You have made this wife a hero for spotting them and buying them quickly haha!

Used the HIIT XTs for the first time at cross fit this morning and they were phenomenal. The wide, naturally shaped last; grippy outsole; and arch support were all just what I needed for barbell lunges and box jumps. Absolutely recommend.

I've got full dancers' 'winged-arched-feet.'
Only one company that helps... New Balance. Just ok of a shoe.
AltraRunning... what can I say... Top ~of~the~Line shoe! Beyond comfort~! No rolling/pronation or inconsistancies Even with the above company & an orthotic!
Just restarted lap-swimming & on my feet tons in the entertainment & business world plus security of a school... tons of 'on-my-feet.' These are the BOSS!
