I have had a lot of trouble with this purchase. I've spent over three hours on it, with MUCH AGGRO! Your payment screen would not accept my "Card Details". Eventually, I discovered that my own bank had blocked use of my debit card on the grounds that there was something insecure about your bank account, which I believe to be stupid, and I told them so. This problem would have been averted if the wording on your payment screen to cover this kind of event were to be changed to something like "Your bank is refusing payment". This would be true. To say that my card details were not acceptable is completely misleading, as the details that I put in were entirely correct. So I was led to believe that I was making a mistake in putting these details in, which in reality was not the case. As things were, I wrote to your Helpline, but received a completely irrelevant response, and when I wrote again, I received no reply. I also wrote to the Seller, and THEY did not reply either. So, altogether, I have felt very hot under the collar. I think that I have now just about managed to buy this book. So here's hoping that I'm right.

I'm still buying books from Alibris because of the excellent flat-rate postage. As to rest of Alibris it's down to one star. The service to customers is crap, you just don't care. I had a delivery of two DVDs, I didn't order them and emailed to say so. One of my orders was lost, I emailed about that (twice I think) but got replies to either customer query. Alibris just couldn't care less about customer queries.,
Is something going awry at Alibris? In late November I received a four DVD box set of Bramwell. I didn't order this and sent an email immediately about this. I received no reply. My order 74118949-2 (November 4) never arrived, yet the tracking details said it was delivered...it wasn't. I think I deserve a credit note for this order.
I learnt during this purchase process that Alibris add $7 to the seller's price (in this case $13) as a charge for the shipping method used. I consider this to be deceitful to both seller and buyer. By all means charge for your administration, but it is part of the shipping cost, not the product.

The alibris shopping experience is always very good. However, there seem to be occasional delivery problems caused by the fact that the UK is no longer in the EU.
My last order from the UK in 2024 did not arrive.

Today I bought a book for €12,18 + postage. AS I was shopping, I noticed a banner saying "Enter your e-mail address get £3 off your purchase". However, when I did it, I received a voucher/code for £3 off purchases of £30 or more. I am a little annoyed (which I was not before!) and think that the banner was misleading!
Excellent as far as Alibris is concerned. I notice that, on this order, the postage cost has exceeded the cost of the books. This is a bit of a barrier for me to order frequently.
On my previous attempt to order from you, you refused a perfectly good debit card, which other firms accepted on the same day as valid. I have not used you for a considerable time as a result. I have only returned on this occasion, because I could not locate this book elsewhere.
Maybe computer system changed since I last ordered, but I had great difficulty logging in, with my password not accepted.
