I gave Adorama a 1 star review, because I needed a new machine by Thursday, I ordered it, and was informed it was backordered. When I complained, here and to Adorama, the problem was resolved immediately, the machine shipped and I got it as promised. I really appreciate it Hoand wanted to let everyone know, that is the kind of service I've received in the past, and the reason I felt comfortable ordering from them.
However, there was some weirdness. I took pictures of the unboxing, and the original Apple box was double-boxed for shipping. Awesome. The Apple box was slightly crushed on one corner, but the shrink wrap was completely intact. When I opened the box and removed the translucent plastic wrap Apple puts on its products, there were hand prints all over the macBook and the top case had a water ring, which look liked someone sat a beer bottle or Red Bull can (for circumference reference) on it. That wiped away with a rag, no harm no foul I guess. But there also appears to be a little ding in the case just above the touch bar. It's very odd.
I took pictures if anyone wants to see, I gonna tell myself those water marks were from the factory because I really need the machine now and I can't send it back. I guess I'll just have to live with it.
Still, over all, Adorama came through. The price was the best I found and there was no tax and free shipping which resulted in almost $300 in additional savings.
I'll definitely shop with them again.
Purchased a MacBook Pro + Apple Care, order status was immediately "unverified" and Apple Care was listed as backordered. Called and go the verification thing resolved and was promised the item would ship today. Now the MacBook is unavailable and my whole purchase is backordered. Which really sucks because I'll have to wait for the refund before I can order from somewhere else.
Should have trusted the reviews I read before ordering.

The new standard - i just purchased the manfrotto 055xprob tripod with a 484rc2 ball head camera mount. So far im satisfied but i can see some potential problems with the ball head: sand or other fine debris being blown around and possibly in the ball joint. The site itself deserves top marks but the company took off a week for passover which delayed my orders delivery just as long as their break. I can't bust their balls for their beliefs but i can state that it certainly constipates the flow of receipt of ordered products. I have no reason to deal with customer service so ill pass that on as a good sign and recommend their services to anyone looking for a reputable company with competitive prices... so to update on the product purchased i have this to say: the tripod is a little heavy for longer hikes but the capabilities are worth the weight, the height that it can reach when fully extended is quite impressive, several inches above my head and im over 6'. I think i ought to start saving for the gitzo mountaineer carbon fiber tripod for the long foot bound journeys. The case adorama included was much larger than the tripod :( its a pain in the $#*! to have the tripod in because its so loose. So far soo good with the ball head, its a simple pleasure to use, i really dig the extra little safety for the quick release! Saved me a few times.

I fell for the lowest price trick that these guys do. Our non-profit bought 3 Sony 4K PTZ cameras for approx. $9000.00. When they arrived they were only 2K. Sony had yet to release the 4K and Adorama was supposed to wait and send me the 4K.
I got a call telling me they were on their way and they would be 4K. They were not and the problems only got worse from there. They changed the invoice. I will say that all the reps I talked to about this, and there were many, were really kind but no one believed me even though I have a receipt. After a myriad of calls they took it to the higher ups and I was offered half of what they owed me. At that point I was so mad I refused it. Now I am paying Sony $2700.00 to upgrade these cameras to what I was supposed to get when I bought them. They changed the invoice to not show the 4K rating but I have a copy of that invoice that clearly showed they were supposed to be 4K.
Adorama always seems to come up with the best prices. Don't believe it.
Additionally, Adorama claims to have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and they are an accredited business(which means they paid the fee) but if you go to the BBB site they only have a one star rating today.
I still have the receipts and every time I Iook at these cameras I remember how they got me. Don't let it happen to you.
