Overall it's very simple and easy to order contacts through 1-800-GET-LENS. My only issue is how they advertise the overall price with the mail-in rebate. I'm thinking I'll be charged the 17.75 or so for each box, (I use the Biofinity lenses) but when I go check out, it's about $260. It wasn't until I was able to look at the invoice that I noticed a $70+ service fee tacked on. I'm mailing in the rebate so, overall, it's whatever, but I would have liked to have known upfront just how much my 4 boxes were going to cost me in total.
Great so easy… This is how I'm going to be getting my contacts from now on. The site walked us through then who process and it took no more than 15 minutes. They arrived earlier than expected. 5's all around!
The rebate offer is good, but a little hassle.
Wish I didn't need to cut the bottom off my contacts. That's unsettling.
There was a problem with them reading my prescription. I was never notified until I inquired why it was taking so long for my lenses to arrive. Upon rectifying the situation, I received two boxes of lenses that are not my prescription.
This was my first time placing an order online for contacts. GetLens was easy to navigate, easy to upload the RX, affordable, and my son's order was delivered quickly.
Request to delivery took extremely a long time probably close to 3 weeks. I thought it was to be faster than doctors office but truly is isn't.
Order went smoothly and delivery was prompt. The only thing I don't like is the hassle of having to go thru the "REBATE" process. Just give us the discount upfront, please.
The whole process was super easy. I just had to snap a few pictures and my contacts were on the way.
Eye exam was easy and order came quickly... but extra "processing " fees and such make this quite expensive. Albeit, not the most expensive out there

Somewhat time extensive in setting up initial order - recognizing that most patients have the same script for their eyes, others need to be sure proper lens script for BOTH eyes is well communicated and documented.

Got my lenses in 6 days. However, I was a first time customer and didn't account for establishing an account. I will use again.
I do feel like the process is overhyped. Yeah, it was easy to find the contacts I needed and quick to verify prescription. I used 1-800 Contacts thinking it was going to be cheaper than me going through Costco. It's not necessarily the case, I got a mail in rebate. Which is fine until I realized the only option on the rebate was a gift card. I was hoping it would have refunded that part. Quick and easy order, just wasn't cost effective for me.
The site was easy to navigate. It's a bit spendy, but I like the quality and how many different brands there are.
You do have to mail in the rebate to get the discount. So the upfront cost doesn't feel like savings. I have not gotten mine yet, but everything else has been smooth and fast.

Similar lawsuits against Johnson & Johnson and Bausch & Lomb Inc followed the case against Ciba Vision.
Amidst these legal triumphs, Contact Lens Depot achieved $1.4 million in annual sales in 2001 and transformed, adopting the memorable name 1-800-GET-LENS.
