Number one. I refuse to pay to talk to a woman. I turned the wink response off. Winked at a girl that supposably wanted to talk to me & she replied as if she's inside my phone. Fake $#*! bull crap. PLEASE DON'T USE OR PAY THEM!
Posted nice pictures of myself, filled out all the questions, didn't sign up at this point just wanted to see how it worked. Next day, went to sign in "blocked by an administrator". Signed back up with my other email address, questions, pictures etc... next day same message! Screw this site, people... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
This website sucks. Plenty of Fish and OK Cupid are 100% FREE and so much better. With Zoosk unless you are a paid member, you cannot do anything. You get all these winks and messages but you have no way to respond back. Also there appears to be no way to filter out the out of state guys. No way am I going to pay to be contacted by out of state. I've been on this website for 4 or 5 days and so far it is garbage and the worse one out there. I'm cancelling my account right now.
Paid for a membership and didn't really talk to anyone! All the people on this site saying the interactions stop once you pay, listen to them! I had 10x less the interactions once I became a paying member. Nothing about my profile or activity changed. This is a scam, and a smart one. Facebook has millions of users, it's the perfect site for a money grubbing con like this. Even their commercials are lame. Just avoid Zoosk. A waste of time and money.
This site is bull$#*! i looked at my sent messages and Zoosk is sending messages on my behalf to people I would never say hit to. It started when started getting messages saying sure i'd like to get you more and thanks for the message so I looked tat my sent messages and sure enough tons of messages I never all saying the same thing making me look like a damn robot.
This is a fake scam, I registered today and paid £71. When I try message someone it's saying "In order to protect the Zoosk community from spam we have established a limit on number of messages each member can send out. You have reached your limit and cannot flirt anymore at this time. Please come back at a later time" this is a bull$#*!. I am really disappointing, my money goes to waste.
A total scam. I am getting pretty girls form California, if that is relly from and I live in PA. They are THE WORST dating site in the history of the Internet. STAY AWAY!
Zoosk is bull $#*!. Big $#*!ing scam with tons of fake/inactive profiles on it with automated reply answers for winks and flirts. If you want to message someone, both of you have to be subscribed to it. They even try to slip an activation fee in there just before you click the pay button. If you cancel just before hitting the pay button they'll send a message saying they'll wave the activation fee so they can still get some money out of you.
I recently joined because a woman who looked very interesting sent me, allegedly a "Wants to meet you" request. And according to her profile we would have ended up friends I believe, at the very least. So much in common. I'm not very "mainstream" or middle class. It's difficult to find a potential female friend or love on a dating site. I have, but not on Zoosk. I'm getting, allegedly 70 or 80 hits a day plus lots of return visits. I've sent complimentary messages to a few. Complimenting profiles and pics. Women FAR away. No responses. Probably not paying members. No one but one far away looked like a potential friend anyway.
But back to the woman I DID want to meet. Her profile does not appear in a normal search of the close by city (SF) where she lives. Allegedly. I have not heard back from her. She has not yet read my message. Can she?
Was I snookered into spending more money than I was initially led to believe I would be spending in order to respond to a profile that does not exist?
DO. NOT. PAY!
Even as a free member you can see that it's a scam. You are allowed to send and receive one message to/from anybody, so I sent some of the "girls" my phone number and they all replied with "no, I'm not texting you, you have to sign up and talk to me on here first" - now ask yourself this: would a person who genuinely wants to find a date/relationship turn down an opportunity to contact someone only because they hadn't signed up to a paid membership? Don't think so! These "women" are Zoosk employees trying to extort money from you.
DO. NOT. PAY!
I have noticed that in addition to a few new visitors, the same visitors supposedly visited my site. But even after all of those visits, none of them sent so much as a wink or message. Of course, you can't respond because you have to pay. So then I decided to to do a search and I eventually came across two of the females who had supposedly visited my site numerous times. So I sent a wink to both. Both of the visitors were supposedly online recently, but not at the moment I sent my winks yet I got immediate, similarly generic responses from both.
Of course, I couldn't read the responses without paying but I could see how they began and that was all I needed to see to know they had to be fake.
Zoosk mainly but most dating websites are full of men that message women even though they live hundreds or thousands of miles apart. Is this man looking for love long distance? Obsolutely not! They are either dating scammers or men looking for sext talk to jack off with. Both are similar: they both only text. The dating scammers do not want you to hear their true accent ( they claim it is Italian) and jack men only want dirty talk by text.
Fake profiles. My ex gf, the one that got away was on there. Her profile that was stolen from match was emailed to me as a potential match. This is a scam. I've met people on Match and POF but highly doubt any of these so called women even exist.
Don't waste your time and in case you did. We are int he same boat. I'm canceling today.
This site is crap! As long as you haven't subscribed, you receive tons of proposals from good-looking girls, one every 5 minutes. When you want to reply, then you're redirected to the subscription page. Sometimes you're proposed to turn on your webcam by a lady. You can accept or refuse to see her. If you accept, then you see a girl in front of her PC in an office somewhere in Romania, Lithuania or whatever... So again all fake profiles!
Then once you've paid, it stops right away. No more or very few proposals.
If you don't believe me, just create 2 fake accounts in two different countries. Create one in France one in Belgium for instance. You will see exactly the same fake profiles of ladies in the two countries!
This site is simply a scam! I don't understand how not much more people complained about it! How can such a site exist?
If anyone knows how to create petition/ claim against this site, please share!
Or does anyone know the company name and address behind this ripoff?
Thanks
Hope it will help you not to walk into the trap as I did!
John
This site is absolutely ridiculous. Hidden fees everywhere. Why would I sign up for a dating site, pay a a fee for that, then find another registration fee that was never mentioned and THEN have to PAY when a member wants to contact me? What exactly is the point of this site?
I had been a paid subscriber to zoosk for a few months when all of a sudden I am blocked by a zoosk administrator. I also received an email from them saying sorry to see you go as though I had cancelled my subscription. This all took place over 3 months prior to my paid subscription being due. I have sent dozens of emails to them asking for this problem to be rectified with not one reply. I then opened another profile and emailed them many more times still no response. I kept writing them messages in the "about me" section to see again if I would get a response... still nothing. They were obviously reading these messages as they kept rejecting the content. So they owe me 3 months subscription fee and for that I will write bad reviews wherever I can. Use Plenty of Fish instead as it offers the same for ZERO dollars. I urge everyone who has received nothing but ignorance from Zoosk to advertise this wherever they can... also spread the word to use a competitor. Remember POF :). ... Zoosk :(
I didn't even mean to join... was in the process of trying to join a word game on fb, zoosk popped up, thought it was connected to the game(I know I sound like a total flake, but this really happened) I have to admit at age 52 I was flattered to be viewed and get winks, but it just seemed weird, so I googled reviews and sure enough everyone was reporting what a scam it is.
I'm a single male subscriber who's gone back into the dating pool. And, what I have to say about Zoosk isn't at all flattering. I seem to get views but that's it but people are looking for what the super model I know I'm not the best looking person out in this world but then again I'm not that bad looking. Poor site
Answer: These view are fake. Zoosk is lousy site! They obviously mislead their customers giving them fake likes and matches. You get instant bot auto-responses. I left to http://J4Love.net The result of my search there is incredibly awesome: I finally spent Christmas with my woman! I had wasted 11 months on Zoosk and then it took me just one month here to meet my perfect woman. Don't let Zoosk con you into their shady and phony "dating" kingdom. Zoosk is worthless, time is precious! The longevity of profiles is tremendous, they are there for years, obviously outdated.
Answer: The real matches are scant and located at distant places. The fake matches are abundant especially when your membership is about to end. It's phony. I met my girlfriend on http://J4Love.net This dating service is a lot better than Zoosk, Match, Tinder, etc. They are more professional with ethical approach to business - something that Zoosk lacks now. Zoosk used to be better couple of years ago, but now they suck.
Answer: ZOOSK, is a total RIPOFF
Answer: NO MA'AM IT IS NOT. In fact I only used the coins when I could get them for free. Under the system that's no longer possible. Nobody takes that sort of thing seriously, and for a woman it's even less relevant.
Answer: In the two months I have been on Zoosk. I have chatted with a number of woman, exchanged phone numbers and talked on the phone and I am just an average looking joe. I have also had times when I received a chat request and the person does not respond. You do have to pay to chat and the other person has to be a paid member. OK if your reading this there is one thing I found, if you search, only pay attention to the ones that say "recently online", the other ones may be fake or no longer active. It's a numbers game I have had many that did not respond to my messages also.
Answer: I believe it is. But how safe is the internet these days. Just don't be quick to give too much information too soon you will know when its right to share. Good luck
Answer: Not at all don't bother buying them just play some games u will get some
Answer: Chances are you're sending a message to someone that was a member long ago and isn't registered any longer. Zoosk is a total scam.
Answer: Unfortunatly not. You have to be a member. I suggest you don't try this site. It won't help you to find wat you're looking for. Cheers. R.
Answer: I can't believe you expect that! The whole idea is anonymity until people are comfortable with exchanging personal info.
