Zager Guitars

I received my guitar in time for Christmas. It's lightweight, absolutely beautiful wood and Mother of pearl inlay. It plays well and was custom made just for me. I love it! Many musical artists use this brand, as well. I highly recommend them!

I played for years with Mark Barnett in Nashville. I thought the Martin D-28 was the king of all acoustics.
Now I have my "dream" guitar in my new Zager 900! Wish I had found you guys years ago. What a difference! I was so happy with my 6 I also bought a Zager 12 string. Zager is on another level.

In April of 2021 I ordered a Zager Guitar Model 80. Upon receiving the guitar I noticed that it did not play or should well at all. I took the guitar to a friend of mine that is a luthier. He confirmed my suspicions that the guitar was defective on many levels. I contacted Zager about the issues and they had me send back the guitar. I was promised a refund. It is now nearly November of 2021 and even after many contacts and promises... NO REFUND!

So I returned my Zad900ce. Prior to ordering it I texted back and forth with Dennis Jr. Since I'm new to guitar the esthetics of the guitar are just as important to me as the sound. I was told the the guitar I would receive was serial #******* I had them send me some photos of the exact guitar and they even provided a video of Denny senior playing it. Unfortunately when it arrived it was in fact a different guitar #*******. It had a bad case of grain runout. When I called to find out what was up I was informed that #******* had an issue with the bracing and could not be satisfactory repaired. They did agree to replace the guitar with one that would meet my approval. Unfortunately they were back ordered. After many months and several reminders I sent it back for a refund. I should also point out that during this time I did a little research and I don't believe that they are in fact mad in the USA but rather in Indonesia. Very disappointed.

Great left-handed guitar! Being a left-handed player, it is not always easy to find a superior playing guitar. I have followed Zager guitars for a long time. I Purchased the ZAD Aura 80 OM ce. Beautiful guitar, I truly easy guitar to play!

Sent my Zager 900CE back after 1 week after receiving. It's been a month and still have not been credited on my credit card. Beware.

I have a Zager 900e I bought a few years ago and it is beautiful and as described very easy to play. I have a Martin D15M and an Ovation Balladeer. This guitar is easier for me to play than either of those. The sound is awesome and full. The Zager guitar took over a month to get and I was told builds were two weeks out when ordered.
I now ordered another Zager this time the 80CE Black Ltd edition. I ordered it Dec 21st according to my receipt. I have emailed twice asking how long until I should expect it and my emails have been ignored. The picks have a lifetime guarantee and they do break and they replace them, after you send several requests by email. So I feel Denny Zager is great his son Dennis Jr needs to get help with his ignoring customers. If you order a guitar expect long delay before receiving it. This being written March 1st still no guitar or responses. I have sent a third email requesting expected delivery date...

After stumbling on Zager guitars via Instagram I decided to take a chance and I am happy I did. Mr. Zager would not send me the original guitar I ordered because he was not happy with final inspection. I had the option of a refund or another guitar at same price. Dennis Jr. Delivered a very nice guitar. Tone is great, easy to play. I would definitely recommend a "Zager" to a friend. I look forward to spending more time with this guitar.

I just got this guitar today, and was very impressed about how well it sang from the very start. It has great tone and sustain, and certainly is easy to play. It should open up and start sounding even sweeter as time goes by, but just the first play was really satisfying. It is every bit as responsive as some of my Martin guitars are, and the build detail is great to see. Zager has great customer service, and I think this might be the first of many guitars that I buy from them. Extreme kudos!

I have owned Martins, Guilds and many other brands but after my first Zager saw another one for sale used and snapped it up. It was a well used and older model and I noticed a tuning machine was loose and giving me trouble. I sent Zager a note asking what they recommend and they sent me replacement s immediately. Who else provides not only a great sounding and playable guitar but also service like this?

After much research, both online and in person I decided to purchase a Zager guitar. I went with their flagship model, the ZAD900CE. Here's what I wrote to Mr. Zager and staff.
I have just a few comments, most of which I suspect you've heard many times before.
1. The high degree of protective packaging you do for shipping is greatly appreciated.
2. The pictures and even the videos do not quite capture how beautiful the instrument looks. Wow.
3. It sounds great with a deep rich tone to it.
4. The case itself makes me feel like a professional musician.
5. Lastly, my main reason for purchasing a Zager was your promise of easy play. My first chord was the F and it rang out clear, something I could not do on my other acoustic guitar. Very happy.

Finally after 8 other guitars I found THE one... Not lying when I say it is exactly what I have been looking for... Weight, size, sound, beauty and above all easy playing. I went shopping a while ago determined to come home with a parlor Martin or Taylor, but when I played them i was not at all impressed with the sound. Then a friend of mine who owns 3 Zager guitars and has been singing their praises for years brought them by and it was truly Love at First Sound! R! And the icing on the cake... their Parlor electric acoustic turned up last week in my living room sent to me by my brother! Please do yourself a favor everyone and try one. You will love it.
