I witness YouTube abusing content generators by manipulating their algorithms so viewers don't ever see their videos without searching for it, and even then YouTube will often put their video further down the search results- making it harder to view. Youtube very often takes content generators' advertising revenue- stealing it for themselves. Often YouTube pretends they (often popular comedians) said or did something extremely egregious (not true by any stretch of the imagination) to deserve their ad revenue being confiscated. Lines do exist between healthy criticism of an institution or culture (which are instrumental to a healthy society) and racism or other destructive behaviors. I observe YouTube knowing that difference, but choosing to remove that differentiation to wield a oppressive amount of control over both content providers and viewers and the viewers' ability to find videos and comment on them.

1) Constant bombardment of random ads and No One bothers to check what they advertise. Porn ads on a cartoon video? Sure why not.
2) Thousands of youtube channels who repeatedly beg their young audience to go buy something.
3) The website would rather promote music videos and political propaganda from official networks rather than wholesome creative videos.
4) And the worst recent change so far... Censorship of video rating.

Maybe it's a scam, maybe it's propaganda, maybe it entices violence and hate speech. Well too bad, you have no choice but to watch the video since YouTube disabled user rating via the Dislike button.
5) If you're a creator on the website you have to constantly deal with false copyright claims, bad algorithm and Police Bots that will falsely flag your videos.

YouTube's advertisement bombardment has reached an intolerable level on the iOS app, interrupting content with annoying ads every 30 seconds. The excessive frequency of these interruptions disrupts the viewing experience and feels like an incessant assault on user patience. Furthermore, the heavy-handed moderation policies have stifled free expression in the comment section. Attempting to voice controversial opinions is now an exercise in futility, thanks to overzealous moderators acting as self-appointed white knights. This restrictive atmosphere detracts from the platform's once vibrant and diverse community engagement, leaving users feeling stifled and frustrated. YouTube needs to strike a better balance between ad revenue and user satisfaction, as well as reconsider its moderation approach to foster a more open and inclusive online dialogue.

YouTube has some strange rules and for whatever reason they will remove a video. Their policies continue to get worse. I think YouTube discriminates. In the future a different service will become the king of online videos.

Back in the day, this site was IT! Now it's full of sad, disgusting people who get paid sickening amounts of money for boring, repeat, poorly edited content, hating on each other for no good reason other than someone has more fame or money or brains than someone else. It's not as fun as it used to be. I post on there but I know it won't make me famous or create revenue! It's just fun! It's all ads and commercials and merch plugs and UGH! I'm ready for a new type of video platform! And don't even get me started on their music platform! Bugs, bugs, bugs! Hope you don't like to listen to most songs more than a minute in without the app shutting down! It sucked as Google Play and still sucks as YouTube Music! Maybe the issue is really Google! :( very sad!

It's probably not YouTube's fault. During the pandemic, it was *the* channel to watch. Now, people just aren't making the vids anymore...they, too, have "real" lives to get back to. Sadly, it's now filled with ads that don't appear to be targeted to any specific audience. Being a "woman of a certain age", YouTube is trying to sell me hot girls, "cheap" (!) vacation packages, vehicles, processed meat, and news, news, news. Being addicted to it, I confess I check daily to see if there's One New Thing I'm interested in viewing, but I usually go away disappointed.

I'm on you tube all the time. It's got some great producers in the things I like watching, and there is some useful educational material.
The ads are annoying, since they interrupt the viewing, and are never interesting.
I like the way the site seems to feed me with new videos, and a lot of it isn't wrong. There's some Junk on there too, not always linked to the number of likes or views. But that's the downside of the web. Mostly it's very positive. I don't need a TV anymore.

I do not like what they did with my google home, this website is full of ads and wants me to pay to play music on it. The website itself is good on the computer but there's so much ads... Was much better few months ago.

If youtube wasnt there, thousands of unemployed youth would just be gone into the hardest past of depression. I know the services and product or the site itself is not perfect, but google is constantly trying to improve it and make it the perfect video streaming platform anyone could ever imagine. Google has completely ruined $#*!Tube. Ads everywhere, too expensive, slow, resulotion is always 480p or lower even when the settings are fixed otherwise. Constantly getting flagged for bullying but never when I report a real harassing comment. You $#*!s just need to go yourselves and do the world a favor. I've been paying for you to premium for several years I'm a contract creator for more than a year I have 1900 more than 1900 subscribers 3 days ago yesterday I go and look and they got me down to 1100 after getting into with those Nigerian scammers down in the comments so I guess they have Nigerians working for the company they don't like somebody talking about the Nigerian scammers! BS YouTube!

YouTube has gone down hill and has hit the trenches. Watching videos on my phone still results in 30 seconds of ads every 2 MINUTES. If I try to watch on my tv I get 2 minutes of ads, then not even a minute of the video, then another 2 minutes of ads. They say "longer ads for fewer breaks for this long video" and then I can only watch a few minutes at a time before I have to watch the SAME ads over and over again. On top of this, the ad pop ups that FORCE you to look at an entire screen of links and buttons with the actual video makes it impossible for you to scroll comments or look at the description of the video unless you hit the X to close it. Algorithm sucks, shows me only videos that I have ALREADY seen. And no, I did not click the filter at the top that says "watch". I love watching videos on YouTube and supporting my favorite content creators but it's become so insufferable with ads that I'm getting tired of supporting. You're a multi BILLION $$ company, why do you want to play SO MANY ads to me (all the same ads, mind you) so that I feel the need to pay for premium. I would if it wasn't so expensive! I won't even get into how all of their ads are just scams anyway. Screw YouTube. Call it "AdTube" now.

These organizations are liable for lawsuits by their competitors that are having trouble to reach consumers at their extent and the Feds should penalize or seize the liable organizations for their questionable practices.

Particularly, these entities mentioned in the title are complicit to limit as much competition as possible by tampering into the market while not letting little guys (small companies) pick up traction. Some of the features such as the 'Shorts' came from a popular social media application.

Also, I read online that a company that starts with a 'G' owns YouTube is paying millions of dollars to Firefox for setting their search engine as default on their homepage. This is bribery.

They're deliberately engaged in a monopoly. The Antitrust Division should do its job on this tip.

Any sort of geopolitical comments I left were censored by the ai algorithm. After trying to make a couple points for several hours I gave up, pulled my personal content, and deleted my accounts. I will be searching for an alternative platform.

The use of "stealth censoring"/"shadow banning" is completely dismantling the entire platform. They are likely doing this for the income, as mentally challenged people like (place-neo-"movement"-here) will be discouraged from further binge streaming, if they see comments challenging their viewpoints
