Very frustrated at 1 in the morning trying to find a receipt that was sent to my inbox, only to find out that I cannot view this receipt because I haven't logged into my account in a year. Reminder to update all your linked email addresses to anything besides your Yahoo account to make sure this doesn't happen.

First of all, Yahoo doesn't clean carpets. Yahoo is a Search engine page that's been on the internet since the 90s.
A lot of changes have been made since then. They bought and shuttered GeoCities, added an email service, became a "news" source that just pulls articles from other websites. There's a heavy focus on celebrity news and is known to have a liberal bias, so if you're hoping for real news without bias, you'll want to go elsewhere. I don't even use the site for searching anymore. I only access it nowadays because it became so commonplace for me to use it that it's second nature now. One day I'll stop hoping Yahoo will be anything other than a crappy website that is long past it's heyday.
That said... you could do worse, the search function still works, so.
Horrible content collation, non-news news, badly written... the only redeeming feature used to be the Comments section where people could have interesting discussions... which has now been removed "to create a safe environment." Really?... you mean like Putin's Russia is a 'safe environment' where no one is allowed to express their opinions? Yahoo, your thinly disguised move to remove the Comments sections is as unAmerican as it gets... wondering if this was purely due to political reasons? Yahoo should consider moving to Russia or China where their substandard news reporting and absolute banning of citizens comments / opinions would be rewarded as 'patriotic'.
I must say I used to love yahoo in the beginning when they had messenger and all the goods but now, it is just a bunch of news. It started to becoming boring. If you don't have to have yahoo, then don't.
I hired Perfect Plumbing on the advice of a restoration company and did I ever regret it. I had to stop the work for a week due to a friend coming for a visit and apparently Perfect Plumbing seemed to think they did not have to finish. They charged me for a tub faucet kit and installation which was not done. The owner came out and did not bring the kit nor did he respond to my requests for completion of the work. I had to hire another plumber to finish the job. I will be billing him for the cost of the additional labor and supplies. In addition, it was nearly impossible to set up a time. They either showed up without any advance notice or showed up 4 HOURS late. Not a good hire.
Amazon does not report purchases to my bank on a one-by-one basis, but lumps purchases together. This makes it hard to verify receipts for each item. We started an excel spreadsheet to compare purchases with bank statements in order to verify we are not being falsely charged for items. We just shouldn't have to do this. Amazon could issue weekly or monthly itemized summaries we can compare with bank statements. They need to start doing this. We buy so many things through Amazon Prime, so we expect better accountability.
I am SO beyond disbelief upset with Yahoo. I have had an account with Yahoo for over 15 years. Now, I am locked out of my account and when I try to reset my password, I got an error message "We can't sign you in right now. Please try again in a while" - for which I've received for over a month and am not able to log in later on. I know what my password was - it's written down. So if I was hacked it was by Yahoo who then wants me to PAY just to reset my password - for which I refuse. This is the worst business model I've heard in my life and I can only assume you guys are going bankrupt. First, losing everyones personal information and now charging to reset a password. Good. Luck.
Yahoo mail is full of ads that you have to pay in order for them to be removed. They 15 mb caps on attachments which is very small compared to competitors email platforms and there news is left leaning as hell! Articles that have not been fact checked, headlines that are crazy misleading and editing seems as though it is a thing of the past. Flipboard or the Onion would be my recommendtion.
Recently, I have found myself using the services of Barnes and Partners Solicitors. Initially, I contacted them as I needed to write a contract for my business, they were really great, very professional, easy to work with good communication. Since I was so happy I suggested to my husband that we use them to update our wills, a job we had kept putting off. We weren't disappointed and again were very happy with the work that was done for us. I would certainly recommend them for any legal work!
Yahoo used to be the best site on the internet. Easy to use, the email was really easy to use. Now I find that the email is much more difficult and can act funny at times. The Home page is not news it is 75% just gossip stuff. What has happened? I really wish we could go back in time 2 years and have the old yahoo back.
This search engine is equivalent to $#*!ing dieses that latches itself onto your computer and makes you use it I never wanna see a purple Y again it will put me into a rage. Also no one actually enjoys this $#*!ty web browser its whored i hate this $#*! $#*! you yahoo i hope your company fails and goes bankrupt.
What bothers me about Yahoo is that they keep changing the home page. Just when you get a handle on things they mess it up again. This morning when I signed in I couldn't belive their "new and improved" home page that looks like it was designed by a 10 year old with colors all over the place that don't match, and advertisements that only slow down my computer.
As a reader there, I can say there is a lot of interesting material there, and a lot of talent, though you have to go searching. And that searching, along with feedback given to me by a somewhat successful contributor over there, is why I can't give it the highest review. There is no specific way to find the most quality and credible stuff. Also, they don't help their writers as much as they could. Promotion is basically up to you. When they highlight an article, that can help, but even when you submit to an assignment, the odds of getting featured are small and no one seems to know what can help you get featured. Nevertheless, as a reader or contributor, this is a viable outlet with a high profile.
Mike's Writer's Workshop, on Yahoo Groups. Here is the address:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mikeswritingworkshop/
It's called a writer's workshop but is actually a writer's message board. It is a simple format, one single thread for all. Knowledgeable and helpful folk, a nice crowd. Good place for any type of writing-related information or to find critique partners. I like that the moderator/owner (Mike) does not participate in the chat as I've found that too often leads to all sorts of silliness, from favoritism to using unfair leverage (subtly or blatantly) to get to "win" any discussion. This forum is refreshingly free of mess.
The only reason I gave it a 3 instead of a 4 is, in all fairness, also a lot of the reason the mess is minimized- no messages are posted until Mike approves them. The problem with this is Mike might not be available to approve messages for hours, days or once even weeks.
If you can live with that, it's very nice.
Avas Flowers https://www.avasflowers.net
BEWARE Please don't waste your time or hard-earned $ with
Avas Flowers!
11/9 called, explained our need and urgency for their services, sending flowers to our very sick loved one. We were told we'd receive two emails:
1. Receipt for purchases, received immediately
2. Confirmation of flowers delivered (never received)
We've gone back and forth with Avas daily since we ordered and paid for same-day delivery flowers. They gave one excuse after another why flowers weren't delivered.
Lassiter Animal Hospital has been our choice for care for our dog for 13 years. They have taken care of his medical, dental and boarding needs for all these years. We have been very satisfied with their services and are happy to recommend them to other dog parents.
My first and last order from this site. I paid extra money to insure it would be shipped by a certain time. The credit card was charged immediately, but the order has been sitting in 'processing' for 10 days now not even being shipped yet!. I am betting that any day, I'll receive a notice that the order has been cancelled because the item is unavailable. In the mean time, they will likely take their time refunding my money. From now on, I will spend a little bit more money for the murch and spend less time waiting for it to arrive. There are too many other sites to take my business to to deal with this nonsense.

Overall, yahoo is a good website. They pretty have everything, and make it pretty user friendly. I also enjoy how they put the news stories right on top, which is probably the main reason why I made it my homepage.
This woman never should have chosen healthcare as a review. She's mean. She actually made me cry. If you smoke, stay away! Instead of suggesting tips for stopping, she berates you and treats you as if you are a pariah. None of your other issues matters.
Answer: Yahoo, is under going a big market change with Verizon Wireless, Yahoo! Has been running slow ever since they mention the Oath Brand, Inc. It was like the whole market crashed for Yahoo!, they are still working on buying back the stock, and I even wonder why the offer to buy, a company with no problem, that dose the same kinda of work without using or selling a telephone. Yahoo1 sould be up and running, but there is still, on when and how they are going to buy back the stock.
