I have been using World Of Books for about six months now and I've never been disappointed with a delivery! They're advertised as second hand books, so of course there will be some aspects of wear and tear, and, let's be honest, you're paying for used books. However their books are still of an excellent quality, and everything arrives super promptly! I'm so grateful for this service, and I can't believe all of the negative reviews, as, like I say, I have had nothing but excellent service over the past six months. Couldn't recommend them enough!
Recently ordered four used books, using their discount code for used books. All four books were shipped very quickly and arrived in pristine condition. So happy I can shop online for books during these times and support a company that is not Amazon!

I purchases two books in "very good" condition. One book has multiple rips in it with missing pages. The other books was visibly dirty and had several pages taped together. I contacted customer service to return the books and offered to provide photos of the books' conditions. I waited a week with no reply from customer service. I will not be shopping at WOB in the future.

The Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophesy arrived several days early, was packaged really well, and met the description given on your website. Delivery was by Royal Mail and considering the traffic congestion on our street at the moment with building work and people moving in and out they deserve a resounding thank you as well.

I ordered 5 books which were packed loosely in a large plastic bag but the bag was split open when delivered and there were only 4 books in the package. I contacted WoB by email to complain, was asked the order number for the missing book and this was despatched instantly, completing my order. That is what I call customer service. However, my one criticism and the reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I don't think the packaging is adequate for several books. In my opinion, cardboard would be better but thank you WoB for dealing with my issue so quickly, I do have pictures of the packaging etc but can only send them via WhatsApp and won't be able to post them on here.

I ordered Jason Fung's The Obesity Code. It arrived promptly, appropriately packed, second hand but in perfect condition and at much less than the retail price. A few underlinings in pencil but I really don't mind that.

I have been impressed by WoB's service. "Good condition" has meant excellent, and delivery has been earlier than promised. In at least one case the price was spectacularly lower than elsewhere. I shall continue to use WoB.

I've ordered from World Of Books several times now, every time I have ordered my book has arrived quickly and always in the quality it is described as. If you're buying from a second hand book shop you shouldn't be expecting a perfect copy anyway, otherwise you'd buy a brand new book. I ordered a two volume set of books which was misdescribed on their website. They only sent one book for which I paid 59 pounds. The only way to contact them is by way of an AI chatbot. No response from a real person. Avoid.

The book was described as being in "good condition", the cover and first couple of pages have a 5 centimeter tear in them- not what I would call good condition. I paid over £5, and on the cover, there's a sticker barely covering a Cancer Research price sticker, I feel conned!

Regular user of this excellent site however my latest delivery was let down by inadequate packaging. On delivery package had burst open in transit and had elastic band holding it together. Only two of my three items were inside. One of the enclosed was a large hardbacked book which possibly had caused the split.

I have been ordering from WoB a few times now and delivery has always been perfect, super fast. The books were as described and I was happy with them. The only time I was slightly annoyed is when I paid £5 for a book that had a £1.5 sticker on it. Made me wonder why the online price was not the same as in the shop. Other than that great service.

I have been buying books on a subject that has recently become a passion. In the last few days I have received six books from WOB. These are coffee table books, hardbacks and paperbacks. All were described as Very Good condition, and indeed they are. They arrived quickly and have joined my collection. I would recommend this place if you are wanting some unusual OP books.

I have placed several orders through this site, and never had a problem. The books arrive quickly, and are always in the condition described. Most are like new, some a little more well read, but this is always made clear in the description before purchase, and I've always been able to read the whole book which is surely what matters?!
I would absolutely recommend them with out a seconds hesitation, and will be placing further ordeds through the website in the future.

Ordered a book overseas but it never arrived. Seller claimed book was rejected by customs "probably due to Covid" and I was refunded. Asked seller to send book to a UK address and also for the tracking details of the failed delivery. Seller was slow to respond but eventually informed me that the book had been damaged and had been disposed of. I never received the tracking details. Clearly something weird going on. The lack of transparency make me not want to deal with this company again.

I've used this company twice and on both occasions the book didn't arrive as advertised instead they claim the books have been 'lost in the post'. In fairness they did eventually supply copies of the books originally ordered.
