I find no fault with the continuing education and training resources they offer. However, I find them notoriously silent when asked about their Professional Services program and how they determine what part of the voice seeker's budget goes to the voice actor. Questions on the topic went unanswered for months, the first response I did receive referred me to another person for answers, and my e-mail follow-up on that second person's unscheduled phone call also went unanswered. Even the latest update (January) regarding PS on the site's blog refers to clarification in the contract between Voices and the voice seeker, but not the voice actor. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that I preferred to have a record of the questions and answers about PS - the silence with which that e-mail was greeted is suspicious. Some people are doing well with Voices.com, and good for them, but I'm done with this runaround.

Title says it all. Working with Lisi has always been a great experience and she has always helped our studio and client as much as possible and in a timely manner. My problem is the inconsistency of the talent knowledge of recording and acting versatility. I run the VO department for a game company and regularly hire voice actors from agencies local and abroad. The lack of recording knowledge that the actors have has sometimes forced me to miss client deadlines due to voices talent unbearable peaking audio deliveries. There doesn't seem to be a basic knowledge with all the actors which makes this service incredibly inconsistent. Some of the actors are also very inexperienced, which is why the service is so inexpensive, I understand, but being able to take direction is paramount in this field and sometimes talent falls painfully short. Professionalism on the actors part is also important and I have run into some situations where scripts were not printed in time for recording, forcing our studio and client to wait 15 - 20 min before recording. Nervousness to the point of apologizing more than acting. Tardiness to conference calls.

The staff, mainly Lisi, has been great at fielding better talent for our studio, but a lack of recording knowledge has been the hardest hurdle to overcome.

I was with voices back in 2008 & 9, then, went in another direction with my career/business. I just re-upped at the Premium level and within 2 weeks have made almost $2,000! These jobs would NOT have been on my radar screen if not for Voices.com. Michelle, Barb, Brooke and Shan (my personal rep), have been very helpful whenever I have had questions about a job, my studio/sound, the process... whatever. If you're just starting out, this is perfect for you... if you're an old pro like me (30 = years behind the mic), it's still a GREAT value and even if you already have an agent (I do), Voices is the best platform out there.

I've been doing voice over professionally for more than 15 years and have used several online agencies. Without a doubt, voices.com is the best site available, particularly for new and part-time talent looking to break into the industry. I'm a big fan of the voice match function, the email notification system and the escrow payment program which protects talent from inexperienced or unscrupulous voice seekers. Voices.com customer service is top-notch and its resource library is unparalleled. I encourage all voice over artists to join voices.com and I assure you the cost of the premium subscription is absolutely worth access to so many great voice over jobs.

I have had the opportunity to work with a number of the agents and customer service reps at Voices.com. I have been hoping to carve out a niche as a character voice actor as I feel this is where my strengths are. Recently, I auditioned for a job involving character voices for a children's educational video game and I landed the gig. Success! There were several parts to be voiced, including various monsters (not so scary ones!), a concerned father and a narrator. It was a great experience, lots of fun, I got to express my character acting skills and the client was very pleased with the results! Hoping for much more of the same in the future!
