Believe the reviews! DO NOT do ANY business with this company! You will be disappointed if you even get anything at all!
Ordered an alarm clock from Vir Ventures on Jan 27,2021. The company charged it to my credit card on Feb 9,2021. As of Apr 16,2021, I still have not received my alarm clock.
Attempts to reach someone from VirVentures have not been returned. Have not been able to get a response or a refund.
Will not purchase anything from Vir Ventures in the future.
I ordered a cable for my booster. It does not have the proper ends. I called trying to return it they do not answer their phone. I did get a call. Could not under stand what they were saying to much static in the phone. I asked to please call back on a better phone, good luck If the company would answer their It would be great I gave up, lost $25. They will not get any of my business
I have tried text, email and phone calls. Nothing gets answered to resolve my shipping issue.Don't buy from them. And I won't ever again!
For starters, Fruugo doesn't tell you the seller's name until you've placed your order.
On Monday, February 15, I bought an item worth € 69.00 and the next day, Fruugo sent me an email telling me that Vir Ventures from the United States had sent me the product (something totally false), since 2 days later, this seller sent me an e-mail telling me that due to a technical failure they ended up listing a product that they do not sell, after having charged € 69.00 for a product that they will not send me, and the worst of all is, which does not tell me when to return my full order refund.
I submitted the claim to get my money back, and Fruugo just tells me with an automatic message from his algorithm to contact the retailer, who ignores me. It seems that Fruugo does not mind working with a scammer, who, if they search his name on Google, will be able to verify to all customers that this professional scammer has scammed on different platforms.
If Fruugo doesn't help me, I will go to the OCU, speak to my attorneys, and do whatever it takes to get my refund back.
If you appreciate your money, don't make the mistake of shopping at Fruugo.
I purchased 2 art canvases on Amazon, sold by Vir Ventures. When the canvases arrived, I was disappointed to see that the edges of the canvas differed from the listing picture (the listing showed the print wrapping continuously around the edge of the canvas, whereas the product I was sent showed a mirror image of the print on the edge of the canvas). I arranged a return through Amazon, and then Vir Ventures tried to charge me a 20% restocking fee. I could understand the restocking fee if this was simply me changing my mind about wanting the art, but it doesn't make sense to charge a restocking fee if they are sending people items that differ from the listing photographs. I opened a claim with Amazon, and then Vir Ventures lied and said the restocking fee was because I did a bad job packing the items for return (they said I "threw them in the box"), when actually I used the same cushioned wrapping and box that they sent the canvases in.
I expect that Amazon will get me a full refund because they always do things in a stand up way, but I will not ever make another purchase from Vir Ventures.
So they decided to refund my money $2,750 on the sale blaming "Covid" as to why they could not ship the product... only to turn around a week later and relist the very same product for $3,800. Cool story bruh!
Purchased 2 platters from Amazon, not realizing VirVentures was the 3rd party seller. Saw positive reviews. Ordered 2 red; arrived ORANGE. Stated FREE RETURNS but when requested return, send shipping label requiring ME to pay. After 16 emails back and forth, having to unpack item I'd repacked to ship back (never opened or took 2nd tray out, just the 1st) they wanted photos. Did, sent, they stated "item appeared defective unit", got postage paid label. TOOK to Fed Ex next morning, packed securely, marked FRAGILE (Melamine so doesn't break easily anyway). Item arrived, notified them I wanted my refund & they responded saying I'd get partial refund because "item was not in original condition"! Unless I altered the color, or unless someone at the return facility took a hammer to it, the item was in perfect condition when I took to Fed Ex. Had to open credit card dispute. TERRIBLE COMPANY to deal with, never again!
When the email notification that my FedEx delivery of the item purchased from HOUZZ website and product sold by VirVentures I went to my door not finding the package, walked the circumference of the property no package. Living in the country with no neighbors and only other person in the house is my husband. I reported that there had to be a mistake with where FedEx delivered and I received no assistance just a message that it is delivered and ask friends family and neighbors and a complete refusal to contact shipper or any remedy. FedEx is no better navigating the worst AI phone system to eventually reach someone who promised a call within 24 hours. No call no help from VirVentures, don't order anything through HOUZZ and VirVentures should be removed from all e-commerce including Amazon.
This company has the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. I ordered a kitchen island almost THREE MONTHS AGO. I received half of the package and not the the second half. I have called Vir Ventures and Sears (who the order was placed through) almost every single day since then. Every day an employee tells me that they are escalating the issue and to wait to get a response in 2-3 days. Not once have a received a call back. They refuse to tell me where the rest of my product is and refuse to give me a refund. They literally STOLE 200 dollars from me. I had to call my bank and report them as fraud. Absolutely insane. I recommend no one to ever purchase anything from these people.
I ordered 2 lamps from Walmart not realizing that Vir Ventures Inc was the vendor.
I got one lamp in damaged condition... and was charged for 2.
I have been trying to get reimbursed for 3 weeks now... several emails to and from Aaron C. At Vir Ventures have been dragging on. He now claims that the order number I sent is wrong. It is correct. I have a copy of the order. Am very disappointed in Walmart... will not order online from them again.
This is literally the worst company I've ever had the experience to deal with. They are running a scam! I purchased a TV console for nearly $600 and alerted them immediately when they sent a shipping notice and I saw that they had my address wrong. Cut to four weeks later and the console was delivered to the wrong address. When you call their customer service number you only get a voicemail and no one will call you back. When you email them someone named Marqueze or Steve will send you back a generic email not addressing the issue. After many complaints, I finally got the response saying they wouldn't issue a refund because "they are a small company and it would be a big hit to us." They need 24-48 hours to look into it further. It's now been nearly a month! I have filed a complaint with the BBB and alerted my CC company to their fraud. I am also considering consulting a lawyer. Do not get scammed by Virventures!
I will never buy from this store EVER AGAIN I didn't cancel my order they cancelled it I am a disabled veteran and I was trying to get my grandma her Christmas present in time for Christmas they made it where I had to find something else and have it shipped knowing it won't make it there in time, I am telling all my brothers and sisters in the military and letting them know all about Vir venture inc.
Giving one star is MORE than gratuitous only because I couldn't leave it at NO stars. Ordered via Sears marketplace. Never got products. STILL trying to get refund. All we ever got was the EXACT copy and paste robo email answers to every email, everyday for 2 weeks. They always responded with we have to check with the manufactuer, please be patient. NEVER expect to get anything from them.
Ordered something for my son for Xmas... never got it. Filed a complaint with Vir Ventures and all we get are "please allow 3 days for us to review" and we hear nothing from them. Now on our 3 go around trying to get the product we ordered over a month ago. Looks like a big scam to me.
Waiting for my order more then a months. They told me we'll return your money back but I'm still waiting for that more than 2 weeks. Will moved forward!
This company is terrible! They falsely advertised and then blamed me, the customer for the error. Like I was the one to post the wrong picture. On an $890 item, they were going to "graciously give me a $100 refund". I said no. I returned the item. Now they won't give me my refund. AND, they've stopped answering my emails and calls. SCAM! If I could, they would get negative star ratings for everything.
What people need to understand is that this company has zero stock, you order an item then they search the internet for that item. If your lucky they find it quickly if not it could be weeks before your lucky enough to get a shipping number
VirVentures is incredibly shady. They lied and said all they're plants have a manufacture defect yet increased the price and continued to sell them. I told them I want my order anyway then they told me they ran out. If they want a bidding war, they should stick to eBay. Businesses like this should not be servicing customers directly. They clearly don't know how.
These people try to get as much money as they can from you! Stay away. I found an Amazon Prime lightening deal for around $85 for a llama quilt. I bought it since it was originally $200. A few hours later my Mom tells me she bought the same quilt for my daughter (by accident) but hers was only $46! So I contacted the seller to cancel the order and they would not. Fine, then I would just return it since it's free returns right? NOPE. This would cost me around $18 to ship back as well as a 20% restocking fee.
$35 to ship this thing back just to get $51 in return. This item is currently selling for $69 on Amazon, way less than what I paid for a lighting deal. Tried to contact customer service and they said they would give me 10% back if I kept it. Still more than what it's going for!
Keep your money and buy your items elsewhere if you can. I don't want anyone else having to deal with this awful business.
Answer: I have to agree with Frank that Vir Ventures is scam from personal experience and find it incredulous that Vir Ventures has 5 star reviews from Indian-sounding names like "Namesh, Gautam M., Shreyanshi M., Mrinmoy B. & Poojay". In fact, this is typical of their behavior and posting FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS IS IN VIOLATION OF THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT!
Answer: Yes Vir Ventures is indeed a scam company run by Indians whom post fake 5 star reviews to give the appearance that their company is reputable; when in reality, they sell substandard merchandise, have zero to no contact with customers when they want to return defective items and go to such extremes as to blatantly post FALSE, MISLEADING reviews. My advice is to shop elsewhere!
Answer: Honestly Dale, good luck getting a hold of anyone at Vir Ventures or returning the aforementioned item you purchased through Sears. Not only is their line always busy (presumably because so many people are returning defective merchandise), there seems to be zero recourse for returning items. Note: Vir Ventures is an Indian scam company that purchases bulk merchandise wholesale and then re-sells it at a profit - for these reasons, they can not take returns (since they only have a limited number of items to sell and just about profit, not customer satisfaction).
Answer: That's easy - Vir Ventures is an Indian-owned and run company that resells wholesale items at cheap prices to American customers; and therefore, to save face, has its friends and employees (whom are all obviously Indian) post fake 5 star rating to ensure the company gives the appearance of excellent service (when in fact it is an incredulous, unscrupulous business). Stay away!
Answer: Well Sylvia, as I mentioned to in my other posts (and all of the other customers who posted 41 ONE STAR REVIEWS), Vir Ventures is a SCAM COMPANY that sells substandard, defective merchandise to consumers and therefore cares less about customer satisfaction and more about profit. For these reasons, I highly doubt you will receive a return label or get a refund for your item. Your best bet is to purchase items through Amazon that has excellent customer support and returns (or another reputable business).
Answer: You can try, but they will jerk you around until you get fed up and quit.
