Vimeo customer service is awful. Not on a personal basis, they're polite but in terms of action in resolving any issues - utter joke. I asked to raise a complaint and the request was ignored. My business has been affected by a bug which has prevented us from uploading any videos to our clients. We've now been 3 weeks without service with no end in sight!
The whole UI has been falling apart for the past 2 years since they decided to make changes to the advanced editing page, I get it they want it to be used by people without video experience but guess what. Most vimeo users are not new to video. We want the advanced page. Constantly trying to "simplify" has just made the UI totally unusable. Hate every single aspect of it and there is no redeeming quality whatsoever. If I didn't have years worth of work on there I would definitely not be continuing to use it. For several hundred dollars a year there is absolutely no value. Any new user I would suggest stay away from this platform.
I have had nothing but issues with Vimeo. The main problem is their lack of proper customer service. You simply can not contact them to help you, you must email them. When they finally reply they are of usually no help. Every time I try to download a video I get an error saying I need to upgrade as I've used up all the room that I pay for. Problem is I have not downloaded anything and I have the biggest option available so I can not upgrade even if I wanted to. It has been a month now and I am still emailing them about the same issue with no actual help in the replies. RUN! I suspect any other service would be better.
I enrolled in the 'free' 7 day trial. Looked at a few vids and cancelled free trial next day. Behold, SIX as in 6 days later they billed me for a full year! No phone support, online support SUCKS. I advise to stay away from these frauds.
Their support is some of the worst I've ever seen. You email them and they just won't get back to you. Send multiple emails, and someone will write back, but not solve your problem. And this is for extremely simple things to solve: the video wasn't showing up on my website because it said "Vimeo refused to connect."
That's something that should be resolved in a day, not 8 days counting, 7 emails later, and still nobody has gotten back to me.
After two 15-minute sessions of trying to unsubscribe or delete account or disable auto-renew, it is clear that Vimeo has made it essentially impossible to do so. All "manage membership" directions lead to an "upgrade membership" page, without any option to actually change anything. The instructions below do not work. The "Chat" just leads to back to the Upgrade page (image attached). Their promise to send you an annual notification to renew is a LIE. This is a scumball operation
I advise all to stay away from this lava filled cesspit of a video site, it contains demonic possessed users of all types and personalities, not to mention stiff necked staff that could care less of your opinion for that matter.

Tried to unsubscribe from Vimeo. IMPOSSIBLE. Don't want their service whatsoever, but trey won't unsubscribe. Following the steps suggested brings me to a loop where they require me go rounds answering the same answers over and over and over again with no option to unsubscribe.
Too bad I can't give them minus 10 STARS.
Vimeo is the worst platform to use based on my own experience.
Their censors revel in a capricious & bias exercise of their policies in ways that's detrimental to any content creator. I would give them no stars, if it was possible.

So long as you tow the line and offer politically feasible messages, you're allowed to post commentary opinions and journalism. Even assuming you are not just spouting racial epithets or being overtly hateful toward specific groups you can and will still be deemed racist and/or bigoted in some way if the opinion does not fit the site moderators' own personal idea of allowable opinion.
This company stole over $5000 of Ryan's Dawson's money, took down videos that had been on there for years, no reason, just greed! If you are an attorney, do a good deed, pay it forward and help a Ryan sue them. His children and family depend on his hard work and this horrible dishonest company stole $5000 from his family, right at the holidays.

In a plan to increase profits Vimeo will sell your VOD for months then when it is time to pay the creator they will make up some violation and keep all the money. If you are a purchaser on their platform, they will sell you those same VOD's, which don't seem to violate their policy at the time and then take them from you. Of course after you pay for it. It's genius.
Your support is rude and unprofessional. You charge a ridiculous amount and do not offer better support or easy-to-find support. Your people are condescending and need to grow up. With so many options today, you are a small choice for hosting videos. You are one company I will be happy to be clear of, and we will be removing the other 4 Pro accounts we have as well. You should have treated our CEO with respect, but you didn't, and he has decided to cancel you. Maybe one of the worst companies for customer support I have dealt with in my 22 years in business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I signed up for the free trial. Watch one church service and then could never get back into the account. Every time I tried to get a password reset or get in touch with them the link would say oops something went wrong. They do not have a phone number and when I finally found a way to ask for help they do not answer their so called support request for days, so there is no way to get issues resolved at all, then it's just back and forth thru some kind of forum or email so you wait days for the reply each time. I had to find another way to watch the service. Then come to find out they charged me 84.00 for something I can't even use.
Why can't i get any help? I'm a paying customer who has been emailing and asking for Tech Support since 1/17! My profile page and VOD film pages are a mess! Buttons are not functioning and one of them actually revealed pages of code and not the videos it should have. Support staff just keeps issuing me more tickets saying Tech Support will update me--for over a week, now!?! I have posted my problems on their FB, Twitter & LinkedIn pages, over and over, and still nothing! And, I have an expensive Pro account! This company just does not care about their paying customers.
This has got to be the worst website since video was able to be digitized. What a moronic platform, copied entirely from youtube, even the next video button is enabled on every page refresh to play every darn video in the list they provide, not your list remember, their opinionated list. People wise up to these american companies popping up daily and controlling the entire video platforms in the entire world as something very fishy going on in the US over the entire Internet world-wide. Forget any help from the company as they will NOT respond to your emails. Horrible business people, but snowflakes are all like this. They have no sense, no morals and do not care about anyone, other than themselves.
The worst video hosting site I ever used. They terminated my account without warning after 2 years accusing me of uploading ripped TV shows, which I did not do. I contacted their customer service and they just brushed me off. I clearly had no rights at all as a customer and they won't investigate their own blunders.
This crowd are a real scam. They take your money alright but do not deliver the product you paid for and now I have to chase them for a refund.

Answer: I'd check the fine print. Then I'd check again. Then I'd have a backup plan if you're gonna use Vimeo. In case you wake up one morning and you can't access any of your videos.
Answer: I heard that Vimeo is very anti-Semitic, they wanted to make a Jewish co-host lose his job at a pro-peace channel. It's just like another holocaust in my opinion... or even worse, the immigration crisis of Latin Americans going to the US.
