I tried to be come a customer... but, according to Mark "We only have support for Existing Customers." SO I AM NOT A CUSTOMER, WANTED TO BE... TO NO AVAIL. I had a few questions before I invested. He would not give me answers or his phone number... so I gave him my phone number and asked him to call. No call. In my attempt to become a customer I got the impression that if you are not willing to grovel to get the answers you need, and that would be by buying something. You get zilch as existing customers only are able to get answers. I had questions before purchase... uh Mark that would be called "DUE DILIGENCE". Obviously they don't need new customers... STRANGE! When I was in my businesses (30 years) I would bend over backwards to get customers. I am no longer willing to lower myself to become their customer. I am glad I had the problems trying to grace USBizData.com with my money and become an "Existing Customer" and I read the reviews... And I am no longer interested in kissing their butt to become one. Like I said... Although I tried very hard to become a customer... I was never able to figure out how to become one.

I purchased for USBizData listing for Marinas in the State. In the description they wrote "contains the most up-to-date business records from 12,300+ US Marinas, Docking & Mooring Facilties." After cleaning the records in double, triple and more (they don't count business addresses but E-Mail address) it become that I had a the end less than 3,000 marinas... it is far away from OVER 12,300.
I send to email to ask for the missing records and no return from them... so they take the money an run...
I am not a competitor of them and it is a real complain

I'll be honest, my unsatisfactory experience is my own fault. When reviewing websites to purchase a database with the entire collection of U.S. businesses I should have let the cost compared to other companies sway me in the direction of the others, but hey we all make that mistake first.

The business delivers as promised. You pay a flat rate and they email a download link where you get the file with the listings. I had contact the business owner prior and he explained that the listings are raw data listings and will not have phone book accuracy. To be expected, no one can really offer that amount of accuracy. I expected to have to do quite a bit of manual data checking and verification on the data as well as even add the occasional missing listing.

My use case was to populate a website with business listings in specific categories. This seemed to be a good and affordable solution to get that off the ground. What I didn't expect was the extreme lack of business listings. Its true that the dataset is very large (over 20 million records as advertised), but upon some basic querying of the data I found that I could not find even the most basic listings in my own region that I know for a fact exist. For example, when searching for salons in a specific zip that I know very well the database would turn up 1 out of at least 10 that I could recall off the back of my head. Searching those missing listings by name turned up nothing as well which leads me to believe they simply aren't in the database. This is just one example of many as I spent hours trying to convince myself the database would work for my needs, but it didn't. After requesting a refund I was denied because I had already downloaded the product. I can't really fault them for that, it makes sense. But a quality product should have very few people wanting to have their money refunded and if I was just one unhappy customer out of thousands of satisfied customers, refunding should not have been an issue.

I gave this business two stars because they are not fraudulent, they do not claim to have every business listing, and the cost is quite low. That being said, its buyer beware and if you're looking for an accurate set of listings, you may want to consider elsewhere as this was not the case for me. Keep in mind I was attempting to segregate the database into smaller, more niche categories such as salons, spas, dentists, doctors etc. Maybe for larger businesses its a lot more accurate (i'm willing to guess that it is) but for what I needed the data for, it would have been easier to google each state and manually enter the data into a database myself.
