I first ordered these boots from a website I have ordered from in the past. I canceled the order after a month of waiting on an 8 day back order. I ordered them from US Elite Gear and had them in just a few days. Excellent service and I would rather use a veteran owned company.
My pants came on time in 6 days towards my APO address and the box was not damaged. The Magpul reflex pants came in the exact size and color through the Magpul as stated. I ordered the size 30x30 which fit as a size 32; right on! I will continue to support veteran owned business from a fellow veteran.
Charged 20% restocking fee for returned boots with original tags, worm them indoors when trying ot on for fitment and taking only a few steps.
Right color on the box But the boots were the wrong color...! Someone should check the box before shipping it off...

Anyway, finally I have received the parcel after almost 30 days. (Thus, overall rating = 3.)
I am very pleased with the TR Mini-mil boots. Pros: They give just enough protection with great ground feel. They fit like I expected with wide toe box. Sturdy construction with no immediate issues of workmanship. Cons: Wish they had drain vents on instep like traditional jungle boots. I got blisters on first wear due to heel slippage... I did work through this and found solutions to limit slippage issue by modifing sock combination, adjust lacing tension, and applying lubricant to feet under socks (all techniques learned from 20 years in the Infantry). There also could be more snug in the mid foot section, as there seems to be loose material no matter how tight I pull the laces, this is not a major problem with comfort, just an initial observation.
Overall I highly recommend this boot to anyone wanting a minimalistic duty boot that looks good, is comfortable, and durable for years of use.

When I chose to purchase a pair of Salomon forces boots I decided I would purchase them from the first company that introduced me to that particular Salomon line of footwear. I was impressed with US Elite Gear's swiftness in processing my order, and was glad to hear they use the United States Postal Service flat rate shipping. For some perspective I purchased a bag from a large company out of Virginia on the same day as I purchased my Salomon forces. I spent $13 for two day shipping and receive the assault pack 4 days after I receive my boots, USPS service only cost me $6. US Elite Gear is high speed, low drag just like the products they offer for sale. I will be using US Elite Gear in the future.
