I was called out of the blue by Unitel Direct, who wanted to help improve my search engine listing (I run a glamping company). I was reluctant to do so, but after a HUGE amount of persuasion, caved in and agreed. They would build me a new website, and start generating additional traffic to help get new business.
Having slept on it, I wasn't happy with my decision and called them back the very next day to say I'd like to cancel... but apparently a cooling off period doesn't exist with Unitel, so be wary!
So they went ahead an built a website, which was absolutely dreadful (visually and grammatically - almost as if it had been written by a child!)
8 months on and the ONLY enquiries I've had from that website have been spam emails. NOT ONE enquiry to come and stay at our glamping site!
I decided to cut my losses and pay them out the remainder of the 12 month contract just to stop the daily stream of junk email generated from their website.
DO NOT go with them. Instead, find a smaller company who have a cooling off period and some kind of customer care service, who respond to your concerns with genuine empathy and a willingness to make things better.
Without doubt, the worst decision I ever made was to answer the phone to those cold calling *****!
Pushy sales man claiming to be from 118 contacted us. Then persuaded us to take a 1 page webpage to get to the top of google. No terms or contract sent or emailed. Within 24 hours we cancelled via email as suspected fraud. No Direct debit set up. Unitel did not have our details, we are not a company. Informed by Unitel that can't cancel. This is illegal as by law there must be 4 elements to a contract. Webpage created 2 months later that is utter rubbish and nowhere near top of google. No info provided for this website. Unitel threatened and took legal action and constantly harassed a vulnerable person. No paperwork received. Unitel are scammers. Read all their Reviews onlinem they have been doing this for years. Reported to Police, Financial Ombudsmen, Banks and now taking legal action against this fraudulent company.

Been 8 month now not a single lead
They say it because i need a web site that happens to cost over a thousand again
Was told that they work with yell i phone yell has i had a account with them they've not know by them
Try to cancel the next day was told had to pay full and that i was lock into a year and if i did cancel on the 11 month it would start a again for another year
I have more leads from smaller company on line and cost 90 per cent less and i can cancel any time
The only company that can lock you into a deal for a year is one that just want your money

I had a website through a local company near myself, was shocking. So i had a call out the blue from Unitel direct, i was skeptical at first, as most people are, I'm glad I went with them though.
I am very happy with the services provided by Unitel Direct, it has helped my business to grow in a big way.

We posted a review of this business and pleased to learn that it has saved some from the fate of becoming involved with this business which professes to do everything but in fact once you are hooked they will do nothing for you whatsoever apart from take your money and threaten. Save yourself the bother and keep your cash in YOUR bank.
I rang and spoke to a very helpful girl called heather. She helped with my website problem very efficiently and so that I could also understand the problem. This did not take long at all. Excellent service

Set up mini-websites with Unitel Direct with promise to receive support and once website been completed and I am happy with the website. After will be charge me for the services. Any issue should contact account manager. However, most of promises been made was not fulfilled. Already been charge for uncompleted services and my mini-webites there is many errors and no resolve was made. My account manager stop to call me as I made so many complaints about it. Notting been resolve. Now, I am blocking payments and going to dispute in court for so waste time and money.
If you are ok to waste your time and money. Join Unitel Direct as very poor services is provided.

Hesitant at first but overall the services we have have paid off and we are seeing a return on our investment. Sales teams are pretty much like most other businesses and as soon as they see an opportunity they kind of go full throttle.

We all get spam emails and calls, but when a company as big as Unitel Direct tells you false information to get a sale processed, it not only shows how desperate they are, but shows the true and authentic colours of the company.
They promised us results on Bing, Yahoo, in which we already had marketing done on Bing and Yahoo previously, even though they stated we hadn't done. After saying I'll get back to him, they raised their expectations of their 'work' and reduced the price to suit my restrictions. Which then when we realised their sales approach was totally illegitimate. We attempted to call Unitel Direct and discuss the sales approach, which the floor manager of the branch completely didn't seem to care, which he then stated we had to send an email in which they would respond, which was then replied with an Issued Invoice and zero explanation of the sales approach.
Not only is the company charging us a estimated amount of £150 per month, but it keeps rising. They don't communicate, and they more so don't care about how they provide their services and approach potential clients. As it's more so a scheme on how to trap vulnerable and desperate companies with their agreement plan.
We wish we never picked up the call from Unitel Direct. They have not only taken funds without administration approval, but also don't care that we are trying to contact them, even though we are paying through a direct debit, which cannot be canceled unless a fee of the total 12 months of the subscription is paid.
Their sales approach, communicating skills and humility as a company of their stature, is far from what you'd, expect.

So glad we have moved back to unitel, we had recently moved all of our services after being given all the sales talk by another firm and we literally overnight lost EVERYTHING that we had built up for the past 10 years. We are now back live but not after spending a small fortune in the process
Unitel Direct have behaved disgracefully during the Pandemic. They have threatened small businesses with court action even when they know they have had to close down. Their customer service is robotic and rude. When you scratch the surface they are nothing but a greedy backstreet operation.
Unitel direct contacted us out of the blue to sell us a website. They said it would be done within a few weeks and as we already had a site would require no input from us... piece of cake. However 6 months and £1200 later and still no website. Several complaints raised but no action taken until I cancelled a direct debit. Despite unitel agreeing that the level of service had been unsatisfactory to say the least and recognising that we had been mislead they would not refund any of the payments just a string of excuses. I can only advise anyone else considering using their services to be prepared to be let down. I am now pursuing this through the courts
