I received 2 dresses, took them into my bedroom and tried them on. Neither one fit. I put them back in the bags, ordered a return label and boxed them up immediately.
No communication from them... so I see a NEW CHARGE on my credit card, for RETURNING them to me. I called and got a wishy washy runaround about the dresses had pet hair on them, which I absolutely disagree! The tech said there was so much that they lint rolled them for "half an hour" and a dry cleaner couldn't get the hair out... uhhh... they received them TODAY, and had already shipped them back and charged me shipping. Some impressive work they supposedly did on them and sent them back huh? And, they are a satin material, so the "impossible to remove pet hair" excuse is just that... an excuse.
I have always been a big fan of Unique Vintage products. The style options, especially for plus sized individuals, are amazing! I recently placed a purchase online for a dress to wear at an upcoming event in a few weeks. I had selected an expedited shipping option for 4-6 business days, but quickly realized after my purchase that there would be processing time for my order, among other potential pandemic-related mailing issues that could cause some conflicts for me. I reached out to staff at Unique Vintage via email and asked if there was any way to upgrade and pay for quicker shipping to ensure the timely arrival of my dress. While their FAQ says that changes to the order cannot be made after payment processing and shipping, I received a quick response and was able to pay for quicker shipping while my order is still being processed! Many other sites would not have been so considerate, so I am very grateful. I really admire the quality of the articles that Unique Vintage offers and I cannot wait to receive my dress. I would recommend this business to anyone!
I was looking for a unique and stylish dress to wear to my sister's vintage-inspired wedding last year. I am on the curvy side and purchased a couple of 1940s-style dresses to try on. I ended up with a dress that I absolutely adore - it fits great, looks great, and couldn't have been a better choice for the wedding. Plus, Unique Vintage has great customer service and I had absolutely no problems returning the other dresses. I have purchased several other items since the wedding and have been super happy with all of them. I highly recommend Unique Vintage!
I ordered my prom dress from here and i was truly a beautiful dress. I ordered a size 12 which is fairly large for me but the chart said that my measurements matched with a 12. When I recieved the dress, the bust was 5 inches smaller than what i ordered, but the dress tag said 12. I had to call the company and complain. Turns out they sent me a 10 and that the advertised 12 was bigger than what you recieve. The service was very nice though and very cooperative. Despite the sizing catastrophe, I would order from here again and just remember to order bigger.
Unique Vintage has amazing size inclusivity! I'm big, always have been, and I used to hate shopping, especially dress shopping. But I've now gotten 2 dresses from Unique Vintage that I absolutely LOVE and that I feel beautiful wearing.
As you can see this company has a reputation. They say something is available, and then tell you it's backordered and it will be months before you get it. They can not manage their invintory and distribution. I made a complaint with the Better Buisness Beuro for their shady and unreliable practices. Stay away if you actually want to get the product that you paid for.

Great quality dresses (ordered 3). Unfortunately 2 had to be returned but this proved how good their customer service is. Quick responses to questions, easy returns, only the best comments.

I LOVE the design. Color and construction of my dress... makes me feel FABULOUS and Cinderella like Adding the shoes... jewelry and headband from the site completed the LOOK I wanted! Brought the dress for my 65 th BD next year at which time I will send pictures then!
Took my order... paid extra for two day shipping then 4 days after I ordered and paid! With a person over the phone. Get an e mail telling me they don't have it and can't get it. Nice, thanks guys.
This site is really lovely. I only ordered one pair of shoes a while back (unfortunately, items plus international shipping are quite pricey), but I was very happy with the quality of the product.
THERE IS NO RETURN, EXCHANGE OR STORE CREDIT FOR FINAL SALE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT AS ADVERTISED! I bought 3 dresses the exact same size 2 fit perfectly BUT one was so small that it could not come together in the back where it zips... it could not come together by 4 inches... which lets me know that it was a final sale because the merchant knew that the dress was 3-4 sizes smaller than advertised. Then I am supposed to be stuck with a tiny dress that I can do nothing with but look at. I gave it to my 11 yr old granddaughter in the hopes that one day she may be able to fit it. I will never recommend this store! At these prices there should be some remedy when you're sold something that is NOT AS ADVERTISED!
I will put this review out on every clothing blog, because this policy is absolute greed and an excuse to get rid of stuff that Unique Vintage would otherwise not be able to get rid of!
Very happy with my purchase at Unique Vintage. The fit and quality are worth every penny. Love the style and variety! I highly recommend this store. Clothes are all true to size.
I was a little unsure about ordering due to size listings. Needless to say I ordered and received a piece that needed to be returned. I was offered store credit, and after some deliberation and searching found an item I thought would work. Unfortunately size was an issue again. With the return of this item, I have been not clearly provided how my refund would come. I responded to an email received from them only to get a message that they are the 'return service' and cannot provide further information on how I will get my refund. After calling today, the customer service rep indicated that they 'should be getting my package later today" which is weird because the email I received last week indicated they already had it. Customer service is unable to tell me how I will get my refund and I am expected to call back in 7-10 business days to find out, or wait for an email. Seems like there is a lot of mixed messages I am getting and cannot still be provided insight on my refund. I certainly hope it is not with store credit---- I don't see myself purchasing from this site again.
I decided to try this company after much indecision. The clothes aren't "cheap" so I was very leery. I should have gone with my gut and all the reviews saying how terrible customer service is. I bought 2 items, at $176, and the one item, a skirt, never came with the top it was suppose too. I returned both items, due to the skirt having no top and 2 buttons on the other were missing or lose. I went through their process of getting the return label and dropped off to FedEx myself. FedEx SHOWED me it was returned, yet Unique is saying I have to work with FedEx because they have no record. Right. They have been nothing but rude and unhelpful sending snippy emails even when I show proof I have spoken to FedEx. DO NOT TRUST THEM! And as a side note... the 2 things that actually did come in... DEFINITELY NOT WORTH $176.00, but I would have kept and sold at a yard sale to at least get SOMETHING back!
Before purchasing I recommend you call first and ask any questions you may have. The customer service is great and they will be happy to answer anything you are worried about. I purchased my prom dress this year from this website and it arrived 4 days later.
If you need the dress right away I suggest you look at the shipping options they offer you. It is a 48 hour handling before they ship your order so keep that in mind! Dress overall looks amazing and make sure you measure yourself before purchasing online. Try to match the sizes based on the sizing chart towards the bottom of the page online. DRESS IS BEAUTIFUL AND I DO NOT REGRET PURCHASING IT ONLINE FOR THE PRICE ESPECIALLY IT IS WORTH IT.
Cute items however, it is a SCAM. After ordering 2 dresses, I received confirmation it would ship within 48-hours. A little long for online but okay. One week later I receive an update that one item has shipped. No status on the other item. I call to find out what was going on. The one dress was on back order BUT they never notified me. I don't want to wait a month +. Every other real organization will notify you of a back order. Apparently the dress went on back order after I purchased it and their excuse is that it states it. I know for a fact that it didn't state it as the one dress I did want but didn't order was on back order so I knew what to look for. The second dress, they can't explain why it took a week + to process. Something must have happened was their reason. Really? Again, no notification. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE communication. In this day and age it is ridiculous to have terrible communication and have to wait weeks for an ordinary clothing item. Stay away! Unless you like ordering something and receiving it unexpectedly months later.
So after leaving my review, UV sent me an email expressing their concern about the service I received. They also sent me a coupon code to make things better.

I love the variety of clothes available but my gripe is the terrible customer service. Email response time is terrible... literally a day or two after the fact and their shipping... the worst in the business. Their site says handling time is 48hrs which is not true. I ordered my product on a Thursday and my order didnt ship till the following Wednesday for a delivery date of the Thursday after that... and we're in the same state as UV! Literally an hr away.
My profession is in the logistics industry and to see this lack of appreciation for their customers is appalling. I hope they figure it out soon...

Answer: I went off their sizing chart and everything fit perfect. Some dresses has different sizing measurements so not all XL are the same. I am guessing it is because of the material. One of the dresses I bought was 2 sizes smaller than I usually buy and it fit perfectly

I’m very sorry that your UV shopping experience was less than stellar. When an item is selected and added to a customer’s shopping cart, we list any backorder notices, and we are very sorry this was not seen when the order was made. Sadly, the item purchased is a backorder, and is not expected until January. You expressed that your order was needed for Christmas, and since that is simply impossible, we proceeded with a cancellation, and a full refund.
We do care for all our customers, and if an item is on backorder we have that listed. The backorder feature is something our customer love as they get to reserve a dress before we sell out for a highly anticipated item. We do not want to deceive our customers in away which is why we always have these notices, but do understand that they can be missed.
We hate losing any customers, and again are very sorry that we were not able to supply you with a good shopping experience.
