These people refuse to engage with their users for aupport. If you have an issue it is your problem and they just don't care. From mods that cry and whine to inaccurate tabs and chords to getting banned for nothing other then they don; t like what yu have to say.
It's the larget tabs website, I even bought their phone app. All in all, it's what you would expect. Some tabs are good, others are garbage.
They have way too many ads though promoting their own membership. That is non stop. I mean I bought their phone app for $2, and they started promoting a yearly membership or something. Come on guys, don't be so aggressive.
Free trial is offered for features or tabs that turn out to not exist. They showed a video tutorial of a song in the logged out view but after I registered and got billed the video was not there, was just a pinpost! Terrible service and customer support!
If I could give zero stars, I would. I found out my subscription had been automatically renewed. I didn't want this, so I unsubscribed and asked for a refund. They told me that they cannot give me a full refund, just 30%. Say what? Beware!
I bought a subscription on Dec 2 for my daughter who could not use the website because she was too young. I contacted by email as there is no customer service. Was offered a discount but no refund for the 199 per year which is crazy for what little you get. Disputed this with Paypal credit and ended up closing my account so these bassards could not keep billing me. Made 15 attempts to cancel subscription but it would NOT CANCEL. Every time I logged in after canceling and clicking no renewal it shows up that nothing changed. These are punks in Cali trying to get rich off of frauding people …. Caveat emptor
I have been using ultimate-guitar since it was free on the internet years ago. Recently they started making us pay for access to their site. I was annoyed at first, but overall fine with this. I thought they deserved to make some money off the content they offer. So no big deal. Then I get on today to find out that NOW you have to pay again to use the guitar pro function that teaches you how to play certain songs. So not only do you have to pay for access to see the songs you can learn, but now you also need to pay again to access the ability to learn these songs. What is up with the greed? I'm really displeased with their service because of this, and wouldn't recommend that people waste their money..

Customer support is equal to that of a scam site. If you try a free trial you are bound to get charged with how difficult they make cancellation and their lack of customer support. My advice is to stay away from this fraudulent company and use songster for any of your tablature needs.
After signing up for a 90% off discount I was unable to log in. Site claims my card was out of date after I received an email that they charged my account. Tried and tried to get tabs but couldn't. After the asked a million questions they than wanted 39$ for a 80% off discount for a membership. I just paid for one. So I tried to cancel my account but still billed me. I'm a senior and found the site hard to navigate and a rip off.

There are tons of guitar tabs out there, which is really great. I think that's what they should focus on: guitar tabs and anything guitar or tabs related. However, they are trying to copy buzzfeed / loudwire in such a $#*!ty way it's horrible. People are visiting your site because they want to learn guitar. They don't want to read articles full of gossip and things taken out of context.
Don't subscribe to any of the services they offer. When you ask for a refund, they delay and mock you for asking for a refund. Horrible customer service. Read reviews from other platforms like Trustpilot. Horrible company and has even worse customer service.
When I received the bill of $24.99 on my PayPal, since my kid hardly use the web, I sent a cancellation request to the email address on the receipt. I received response and cancellation confirmation in the same day which I was very surprised because that day was Sunday. On Monday PayPal sent me a refund confirmation.
Purchased on line for one price on PC downloaded on phone. They charged me again for other membership twice. All the same log in. Sent a letter, they responded back puting it back on me to figure out instead of issuing a refund. Buyer beware...
I purchased a membership, which was very misleading, bait and switch. Loved it until a month later and the site does not even acknowledge I purchased a membership. I give this sigh a 0. LOOK at Negative Reviews...
Tons of ads after purchasing the most expensive (pro) option. They didn't help me cancel my subscription through the website when I told them to. The subscription didn't appear in my IOS phone settings but was hidden on the website to be set on auto-renewal. They charged my PayPal account, then offered me a 33% refund, which was not in their Terms of Service. DO NOT USE!

Expected to receive instructions, but that cost EXTRA, so USELESS. E-mailed immediately and was tolled eh. Maybe you can get HALF! What I'm talking 5 mins I found out it was wrong package told no matter Half is most we can do! I thought there was a 3 day rule or something to protect the buyer. They may have figured how to get around that so they ca RIP-OFF innocent guitar enthusiasts. The reviews are true but 1st music related rip off so I got burnt...

Ultimate guitar is such a great website that I can't help but think that a lot of these negative reviews here are fake. I couldn't find anything wrong with the site, whatsoever, and as a guitar player myself, I visit a lot of music sites. This one is informative, well written, has a lot of great guitar news, and is overall awesome!
They will not send out renewal notices, even though they say they would.
"You will receive an email notice approximately 30 days prior to the Renewal Date. The notice will let you know that your current subscription term is about to end and the Renewal Date when your subscription will be renewed and your account charged. All notices regarding your subscription will be sent to your last email of record. Please keep a record of when your subscription term ends and the next Renewal Date. You are responsible for timely canceling your subscription regardless of whether you receive any notice from us."
I was using 7 day free trial and had to go through a medical procedure with anesthesia and recovery time. I was in pain and tried to cancel it on the 8th day explaining I could not remember to cancel it a day earlier. They didn't want to give me a full refund for annual fee. What a shame what a horrible inhumane service
STOP TELLING PEOPLE TO CONTACT support@ ultimate-guitar.com WHEN THAT MAILBOX IS FULL AND BOUNCING BACK MESSAGES! (spaces added because this review site won't let me add an email address). There is also no other way on the site either to reach a freaking human being! There is no customer support number and despite what your website says, there is NO CHAT OPTION IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER! This is such a rip off and you all should be ashamed for taking people's hard-earned money and food out of their children's mouths. The 7 day trial is a bunch of crap and even if the site was halfway decent, $99.99/yr is ridiculous for the service offered, especially to have no way to contact support.

Unprompted renewal with their TOS stating they get to keep $30 of it regardless. That's a scam and should be illegal. Will never recommend to anyone.
