I came back to Top Resume having had great experiences in the past. This one, however, will be my last. Trying to communicate and be on the same page with my writer was really frustrating. I came away with an overall sense that she just didn't care. Even after agreeing to a written deadline, they moved it up two days and closed my case without my approval of the final draft. I called customer service and asked for a new writer and 24 hours to finish changes, but they would not accommodate. I am now forced to dispute charges for an incomplete resume on my credit card if I want resolution. Save yourself time, money, and disappointment in the final product. Use someone you can actually meet with over the phone at least once. Top Resume uses email only and if you get a writer who is not a great communicator, your chances of having a good final product or overall experience are slim.
I was having trouble getting my message through. Ask TR for a free review. Results were clear that my resume needed more work. Allison did an excellent re-crafting my document. It looks and reads very tell. Tells my story fine. Would recommend TP to friends.
Great resume writing service. There are no phone calls, if you would like them, pay extra. Had unlimited texting with the writer. Keep in mind, all transactions must be within 7 days, though they can make an exception. They wrote a fantastic Resume, Cover Letter, and LinkedIn texts. Great service for the price. You'd be better off going on Fiverr and hiring one of their top-rated folks for $100 or less. My resume/cover letter were full of grammatical mistakes, awkward sentence structures, and over-exaggerations (aka lies) about my qualifications and skills. Lots of "word salad." It quickly became apparent to me that I was dealing with a non-native English speaker who also had no real knowledge of my field of work. Also the writer was being lazy and not expanding on any jobs older than 8 years. When I asked her about it, she said it was to cover up my "advanced age." Like, excuse me, I'm early 40s, that's typically considered career prime, not "advanced." I will not be using my documents from this company, so it's essentially money down the toilet and a hard lesson learned. Don't do it!
Signed up with these folks due to a "special" offer of $100.00. Only after signing up was I notified that there was a time limit on services, and I received an email on 11/18/15 informing me that any final changes would have to be submitted no later than 11/17/15. All this for a final draft that contained incorrect, overlapping dates and misspelled words- my "expert" doesn't even know the difference between perspective and prospective. Avoid Top Resume!
His is the worst website i have ever had in my career. This is unprofessional and providing fake " copy paste" Material to their customers. I have spent 189 USD Dollar Package Career Evolution. I have struggled since last 3 Months they dont have skillful writer and their customer department is not resolved my queries.
They just kept my money and added nothing project details, search on profile. I would strongly recommend its better to download free template and convert you CV / Profile while spending money on them.
Hope fully some action should be taken for these type of service provider to create bad image all over the world.

I've purchased the Executive Plan on a Sunday night, was matched with a writer within an hour and around Monday mid-day got the first draft. It took only 3 iterations of questions and adjustments to come to the final results and it was all done until Wednesday noon.
Final resume looked highly professional, nicely organized, focused on important details.
As a minor setback I can mention the Executive Plan said they will reorganize my LinkedIn profile as well, but instead I've received guidelines how to do it myself. The guidelines were personalized to my specific profile with text from my professional experience, so it's probably a security related decision to not ask for any credentials and direct update.
In general I'm highly satisfied, would recommend their services to anyone.
Ordered a 48 hour turn around "premium package" job. Not sure if that was the title. Included a cover letter, resume, LinkedIn, phone-call etc.
After a week with no updates they refunded my rush charge.
A day or two later i get a resume that i have to do so many basic grammatical corrections on, I felt as though i was editing a high school English paper.
They say they would assign me a new writer and turn it around within a few business days, gave me a specific date and time for the completion.
That date came and went. Barely an apology when i called to complain, "Do you want a refund or do you want to keep waiting?" was their response.
Will never refer this service to anyone.

Inexperienced writers, not knowledgeable about industry they claim to be aligned to. Use inappropriate terminology, repetitive and too much meaningless jargon. Do not recommend unless your coming out of college or have no more than a couple years of experience.

I have never been taught how to write a good resume or gotten any pointers so this is perfect for people like me. I was surprised to get detailed notes and insight, never having used this before. It's worth it, you cant just "wing it" on your resume. They really help you advertise yourself better.
I purchased a package with "satisfaction guaranteed" from a "top 10% writer" but after working with two writers, I've yet to get a product that is reflective of someone who puts much experience or puts much though into their product. Not only are my very specific, but simple, requests completely ignored, the products have grammatical and technical errors. Beyond this, they don't reflect a knowledge of the area I work in or my personal experience at all. This is beyond frustrating. The company will refuse a refund and instead just shuffle you off to another person who can't write a decent, thoughtful resume indefinitely until you realize that it's a hopeless case and you might as well have flushed the money down the toilet and now you're just wasting your time too with nothing but frustration to show for it.
Stay clear! Total waste of my time & money. As many other users have stated below ( see all the 1 star reviews) the time table presented was never met, the writer I was matched up with did not know my industry, misspelled words and used UK English spelling for others, made grammatical errors and used run on sentences etc, etc... over all a week after my comments I finally got a generic email with a second version as bad as the first. This was the Executive package! Had to find another service. Customer service informed me that the service is "non refundable" so make sure you read all the reviews before you find yourself in our shoes... don't just walk away, run!
TopResume's assistance made my resume more professional and visually attractive. Their service was not perfect though, as editors are not guaranteed to be familiar with the resume convention in each and every industry, it helped me secure offers to some extent. I am satisfied overall.
Overall a good experience and my resume is definitely much improved.
My one challenge was working with someone overseas which made timing of communication and availability for our phone consultation less than ideal.

I am a Project Manager who specializes in Training and Documentation for enterprise-level SaaS platforms. I hired TopResume to rewrite my resume to tell a more cohesive, targeted story for my next job search. Just got the first draft back today and... wow. I 100% agree that they use some sort of standard template. What I received was an absolute word salad of essentially meaningless standard resume speak, rife with grammatical errors and copy/paste artifacts. They misused common industry terms and acronyms and placed high-value items dead last. They credited me with things that I absolutely did not do. I mean, it was bad to the point of comedy. I am a senior level manager and they wrote a cover letter that led with how "organized" and "dependable" I am. Other than leaving feedback for the writer so they can "fine-tune" their draft, I have no real recourse.

Answer: It depends, if you want to pay for a mediocre format riddled with errors that has the language equivalent of a high-schooler. You will end up paying $100 for something you could have sat down and done in an hour and a half.
