I finally broke down and paid over $300 to have my resume professionally redone. The layout is okay but quite frankly I would love to compare mine to others as I think they use the same formats over and over.

In general, I am appalled at the result. The entire thing looks like a focus group meeting with general words and phrases thrown about in a hap hazard fashion. Much of the detail has been removed and replaced with general terms, none of which are in job postings I apply to. Do not walk away... RUN.

Also, do not be fooled by the lack of an Order ID or other evidence of my purchase, they never gave me an order number due to a typo in an email address. Any messages sent to them take weeks to answer.

My resume didn't seem to be getting me the responses I had hoped. After doing some research, I found that the problem could be the formatting due to the ATS technology used. TopResume proved my suspicions were right when I took their free resume review offer. I am a skeptic to many of these online offerings but took the plunge and signed up for the Executive Priority package. I was pleased with the quick turn around time. Betsy was my writer and the formatting changes made a huge impact and highlighted my skills and expertise in a more concise manner. It took a few rounds to finalize the content and I appreciated Betsy's insight throughout the process. The cover letter template was helpful but the LinkedIn profile update could have been done on my own.

After receiving rejections many, many times. I decided to try these guys. I received my first draft a day later than expected but was informed of this. Got my draft and wanted to make some changes. After looking at it over again, I decided to not mess with a god thing. Cover letter? Out of this world.

Jessica M. Followed through every step of the way. She even highlighted areas in my Resume where she stated that I could add additional qualifications.

I plan on uploading this new resume and cover letter tomorrow. My old resume was fine for when they were not using ATS. I am excited to see what results I get.

Top Resume's process lasted a little over a week to get my resume, cover letter and linkedIn profile updated. Saved me a ton of time, as I would have thought too much about it if I had done it on my own.

I ought to have read the reviews before I found myself here stating exactly what others have stated. This is a scam. There is no follow through. The writers are incompetent at best. Poor grammar, spelling, formatting... the worst part was the lack of focus on what I actually did in my previous jobs... it is as though the writer worked off of three key words that were not even ones that focused on my accomplishments!

Awful service!

I called in and ordered Top Resume's $219 package. The sales rep that took my order hung up on me as soon as the Credit card transaction went through!

Decide for yourself if that's the kind of service you want to pay for as I will never call or click on your link again!

This company is a scam. They ran my resume through what appeared to be ChatGPT and gave it back nearly identical but with translation errors.

They then fired and gave me a new writer. The second writer had never worked in tech and was a porno writer (we all know how bad that writing is).

Total scam. Stay far away from TopResume.

Steve was my writer. Although I have only begun to submit applications I can confidently say, Steven was outstanding. He listened to what I said, made sound recommendations and explained them as they were presented.
He was patient, attentive and a good listener. He asked questions to become more informed about my particular industry and together we explored my options. We wen through several revisions until I was comfortable with the product.
We produced a one page resume that captured and clearly highlighted my skills, experience and knowledge without saying too much.
I would have no problem reaching out to Steven again or to recommend Top Resume.

Very nice service overall. Good initial analysis of my current resume. The resume writer was friendly, explained everything and why she was writing the way she was. Answered some questions on industry trends.

However, there is some space for improvement in asking clarifying questions early and speed of delivering the final product. The whole process was about 3 weeks (a little slow) and a couple of bullets on the first draft made me feel the writer struggled with understanding my experience, but did not reach out to ask. These are probably related issues and my advice is just to communicate more.

I have been working on a career change and had an outdated resume with no idea how to communicate my skill set to make me look as experienced as someone already in the Environmental field. My re-done resume looks professional, sounds better, and has a format that I believe would be more appealing to any company looking at it. My cover letter was short in the beginning and didn't seem to explain much detail or give much information on my skill set but after working with my TopResume editor, she was able to provide a more detailed cover letter that highlighted my experience. I would highly recommend TopResume for anyone in need of a resume and/or cover letter review!

I ordered the 24 hour turn around package mainly for the extra features, linked in updates and even bought an added 75.00 package for listing my resume.

After days of waiting for my resume I sent a cancellation and waited to hear back. 3 days later I got an email containing a new resume that was closer to complete but among other problems now had my city misspelled.

I let them know I had already cancelled and they offered 75.00 back, I had paid almost 300. The cheaper service was 100 I offered to compromise at that since they still had not finished the job. They refused.

I am now leaving feedback and starting a dispute with my credit card as well as legally.

This company obviously can't follow through with it's commitments but thinks it can just push clients over.

While I was confident about my abilities and interviewed well, my resume provided too little information to prospective employers. Hiring TopResume is worth every cent and you'll realize it after reviewing your first draft.
After reading the final draft my wife said, "I had no idea what you actually did, until now." A Human Resources friend took a look at my new resume and didn't want to change a thing. I'd say those are both confirmations that I made the right choice.
If you are like me and want to take your career to the next level, my advice is to hire TopResume to get you started.

Don't even waste your money! They try to get more money out of you anyway they can. Rush service doesn't work because after you already purchased it, it lets you know if can take some time to find your writer. Then when I got the e-mail they had a writer for me and my first draft was to be expected later that day, it never happened. This company definitely boosts up in ratings themselves, but don't fall for it! Do your research!

The company failed to improve my resume at all. I sought them out in an effort to help with ATS. The first writer destroyed my resume and failed to even understand what I have done in my career and took National projects that involved Presidential directives and made them sound like a local holiday effort at a fast food place. I contacted customer service they promised a new senior writer with a 48 hour turn around. My project is due tomorrow per their company and I haven't even been contacted by The new writer. They are a horrible company who uses the fear of ATS to drum up business. Then assigns work to third party writers who may or may not have had a resume class but more than likely are people barely out of high school or college with no HR experience.

M. Did such an amazing job on reworking my resume and cover letter, that I added a thank you letter as well. Within 2 exchanges of emails, they were done. M. also revamped my LinkedIn profile, which I will proudly start sharing now. I was treated with the utmost courtesy. All of my questions were answered. I appreciated M. Sharing her professional opinion when I wavered on an aspect. I never would have been able to do create such well-written work and am glad I had the foresight to try TopResume. I highly recommend the service.
