Excellent overview
August 29, 2016

Before I buy anything in the local store or online I am going to the Tiger direct too see their prices and overview of iteam. So far they didn't let me down in any case. They have affordable prices and you do not need to go google about the item because they explained under " overview " everything. My last buy from tiger was external hard drive and it is as they said it is. Thank you Tiger, I am recommending everyone to try them out, you won't regret it ;)

Worst experience ever. Had to jump through hoops just to place the order for a $633 laptop. They held up order without telling me and when I called they informed me I must send them several forms of proof of identification. When I received the computer, it didn't work. Called them numerous times attempting to get RMA number so I could return it, but was put on hold for literally hours. Since I was worried they would claim I didn't send it back within window of time to make return (since I was put on hold each time it took days to get number for return), I had credit card company dispute the charge. Credit card company gave them 60 days to respond and at the last minute they responded and said they never got it back from me. Luckily I have records through tracking that proves they received it with their signature so we have proof they lied. Now it appears they are going out of business. No wonder!

6 week long nightmare
November 17, 2022

I called Tiger direct and gave them my printer's model number and they helped me purchase 3 ink cartridges. Upon receipt, I knew right away that they were not the right cartridges. I called them right away and they told me that I will have to call HP and that Tiger Direct could not help me. HP decline any sort of return or exchange and told me to call Tiger back which I did. It took a lot of holding, hang ups and lying to finally accept the returns. I had to pay for shipping, of course, and several weeks later, nothing. I had to call, email, stay on hold forever and finally was told that I will get a refund minus 20% restocking fee. I was ok with that. I finally got refund for 2 cartridges instead of 3. I had to call back and got transferred to 4 different representatives, 3 of them extremely rude and demeaning and assured me that I got all my money and needed to check with my bank. They told me it was my bank's mistake. After calling the fourth time today, I was told that they escalated the matter and finally got my last piece of the refund and they were "very sorry for the misunderstanding". Never gain and I don't believe anyone should beg and hold this long for their fair request of refund which was their own fault to start with.

Assisted a friend in the purchase of a refurbished laptop. The laptop has a defective screen probably due to motherboard internals.

Called the following day to request RMA, explained the scenario to 3 representatives before the RMA was acknowledged. I was told to wait for an email (shipping label) with the instructions on return. A week later and still no email, I called and spoke to another rep which stated that the email would be sent in the afternoon... again, no email. I called today and the 1st rep gave me a number *******300) that has no response whatsoever.

I re-called customer service and another rep giving me the runaround with no eagerness to help. I'm an IT Consultant who has purchased thousands of dollars from this company in the past and cannot believe how unprofessional this company is at the moment.

Tigerdirect is basically a "Buyer's Beware" outlet. If you value your sanity and your time... buy from Newegg industries.

I have made a few purchases from them. So far so good. Have purchased a Motherboard/CPU/Memory Combo, Cables, USB flash drive, all delivered as promised.

Store has a decent selection, good prices on computer parts. Overall a very positive experience I would recommend.

In January 2016 I called Tiger Direct to purchase a laptop. I gave the sales person the minimum specs required for my needs. Unknown to me, they sold me a laptop that did not meet my specs. Additionally I was told the graphics card was upgradable and today they told me it is not. TWO LIES. I contacted customer service and was told nothing could be done. Unacceptable.

This place is on par with Newegg when it comes to pricing and products. The only thing that is not as good is their poor return mechanism. Hard to reach customer service, they tell you youll get to return something but they never confirm it. If you don't return things its great.

I bought a refurbished laptop from Tiger Direct and, coincidentally had to have emergency brain surgery about the same day the computer arrived. Hence, it took me 6 weeks to open it and get it up and running... only to discover the screen had jagged white lines all over it and the webcam didn't work at all. When I called customer service to ask about repairing it or returning it, they told me (rather brusquely) that I was past my warranty. I explained my brain surgery issue... she basically said "too bad" and told me the only thing she could do was forward me to some other company that would fix it... but I'd have to pay for repairs. The point was that it never worked right out of the box. I'll never buy from them again. I'm disabled and this was the only way I could communicate from my bed with the world.

Unlike Newegg: they back what they sell. Managers respond to problems. Whats described when you order is what you receive. Extended warranty information is given at the time of purchase, you don't have to go on a witch hunt to file a claim like you do with Newegg.

I purchased a bluetooth earpiece only to find out that you do not get all of the items that you should be getting with the product. All you get is the earpiece and charger. None of the ear buds that are supposed to be with it or the extra ear hook or the usb cable. Customer service tells me that to refer to their website for whats included in their "bulk package" but no info is listed on the site. If I was to go only by pictures I guess that I was lucky to even get a charger. They will not give you the missing items either. Also they want to charge a 20% restock fee and make you pay for return shipping. Thats ok... I will send it back. The $5 they keep is going to pay for a lot of bad reviews for ecost. Hope its worth it to them. Good news travels fast but bad news spreads like wildfire..

Bought a Acer computer from them and they "give" you a free gift of anti virus protection for 6 months. Then a recurring credit charge occurs afterwards to continue to get the anti virus software. They give no realistic way to cancel the recurring charge as they require the serial ID number from the retail packaging of which I never had as it was directly put on the pc. No other way to cancel the charge or get a refund. I won't do business with them ever again. If you do, make sure you uncheck their free gift of anti virus software.

They don't have enough support on the floor to help you and it can take several minutes before you're helped but they do have one of the best bargain deals where you can actually go in and pick it up.

Item ordered went to drop shipper and two weeks later never got shipped... later was told not in stock... if you place an online order with the company they should know which items they have in stock... and not allow orders to go through if the item is not in stock... it's very simple!

Ordered over $1100 worth of computer parts, less than 24 hours later, I call because the price has dropped on a few items and found a few items on another site cheaper! I asked for a price match and they said they will only price match an item if you have not placed the ordered yet. I said that makes no sense, every other company in america will price match after the sale. They said nope, not gonna do it. I asked to cancel the order and they refused. Said I would have to wait til it ships and then refuse delivery on it, once they receive it back in the warehouse they will process my return in 7-10 days.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They "shipped" my item to a warehouse, sent it via Purolator and somehow "lost the tracking number" meaning my product went completely missing. I was patient and waited 2 weeks. After 10 days worth of calls to try and figure out what happened to it they finally "opened a ticket number" to investigate. This took over 1.5 hours. They offered nothing except a replacement that would take over a week to arrive.

We bought a refurbished computer and a one year extended warranty. One week before the warranty was to expire the comp. Completely died. We had to pay for the shipping return, but we got our complete money back that we paid for it. It was like we'd rented the computer for $15 a month. Really couldn't beat that. Only problem of course is if you don't remember to back your stuff up you will lose it. But that's one's own responsibility.
