Hi there!
I received the book "Bringing Up Boys" by James Dobson with the jacket of the book thgat I thought I would receive and that I had ordered with is "Chaka Khan - Through The Fire". I doubt that you do have Chaka Khan's book in stock, so I'm asking you to please fully refund me via Pay Pal.
Thanks.

Note: If I do not hear from within the next 10 business days, I'll make a claim to Pay Pal.
I can return the book to Thriftbooks if you want, I really do not know this book at all. I wanted Chaka Khan's memoirs. Nothing else
I like Thriftbooks the order is always correct and delivered in a decent amount of time! One order was incorrect and they fixed the problem
Sells books they don't have buyer beware I tried to buy Scooby Doo essential guild instead sent me a different book lol on them I ain't stupid
They mailed me a moldy book. The book smelled like mold and had mold on the cover. I had to throw it away.
I am NOT that person. You know, the one who jumps at every chance to go online and complain about a company. I'm more likely to assume that there's been an oversight, a mistake, etc. This time, ThriftBooks has really gone too far, even for me. I bought a book from them, through the ABEBOOKS platform. It was advertised as a HARDCOVER in GOOD condition. It was NEITHER. For TWENTY dollars, I got a beaten up, uncorrected galley proof. For anyone not familiar with book publishing, the uncorrected proofs are sent to authors on cheap paper with no binding, for their review, to avoid spelling error, or typos. It even sayd on the cover, "NOT FOR RESALE." This is not the first time I've bought a book from them that was not as advertised, either a hardcover that was a softcover, or a book described as being in GOOD or VERY GOOD condition, that I tossed into the trash as soon as I received it. This time, I reached out to them, and what I got back was an insult. I git instructions on how to use the ABEBOOKS platform to request authorization to return the book. Seriously?
I ordered a copy of Thomas More's "Utopia" and Got "Hamsters for dummies." Probably not using Thriftbooks again.
Fast service I have always been happy with the books I bought and I would reccomend thriftbooks to anyone
I ordered a hardcover book listed as such, I received a print on demand soft cover. Charged $40!
Buying used products can be risky, NOT HERE. Easy returns, prompt refunds. Wish List! Oh Yeah...
The worse book condition of my life. Buy like new arrived totally damaged! Never more
I ordered a used book listed as being in "very good" condition, but what I received told a different story. The cover was stained and sticky, the pages were bent and marked up, and there was visible water damage. This isn't even close to the standard they claimed. I tried reaching out to cancel another order I no longer needed, but there was no option to stop it despite it not having shipped yet. No real help from customer support, just copy-paste responses. Definitely disappointed and will be looking elsewhere for future purchases.
I have now tried ordering three times. My first order only partially arrived. My second order included a wrong item and despite trying to explain it was not what I ordered, I was told repeatedly their database was right and I was wrong. The third time I was briefly charged over 100.00 but received no order number. Again I was told this was not their problem. I will never order from them again.
I ordered a book they had listed on their website that included a photo of the book. The photo was of a specific edition that I wanted and they sent me an older edition which is, unfortunately useless to me. I asked them to correct the issue and send me the book I ordered, but they are claiming that even though the photo shows a different edition, they did send me the right book. Doesn't even make sense. See photos
Answer: It sounds like a question you need to ask them directly.
Answer: You should think twice before paying international postal rates and customs fees for used books.
Answer: When this happens, just tell them and they'll give you a refund. Books are sent via USPS, so good luck with a tracking number. Very occasionally they will lose a shipment, and this is not Thriftbooks' fault.
Answer: Library Binding is a term used for books that are in large print.
Answer: I donate my books to the library for their book sale
Answer: I ordered through the ThriftBooks website. They send me an order confirmation email. Then they send me shipping confirmation email with tracking. Shipping confirmation emails may be sent separately for each book if they come from different locations. If you keep track of the emails, you know exactly what the situation is for your order. I have ordered over 30 books, have check on the status often, and had no problems. I'm not sure what happens if you don't have email, but is that a possibility in this day and age? If you ordered by phone, I'm not sure why you didn't call them for the status.
Answer: They do not accept checks or money orders. You need to use credit, debit (cards), or PayPal.
