I'm currently dealing with a frustrating situation regarding a flight credit for a Fiji Airways flight from LAX to Brisbane booked through StudentUniverse. Here's what happened:
1 StudentUniverse didn't disclose that the credit was limited to one-way flights only
2 Did not disclose fees in correspondence until AFTER I agreed to the credit
3 Terms were changed months after the credit was issued
4 They're refusing to let me use the credit for a round-trip flight, even if I pay the difference
📢 Know your rights:
Airlines must clearly disclose credit terms upfront
You're entitled to fair treatment under US consumer protection laws
Recent DOT rules require more transparency from airlines
