I tried to change the account owner from my employee to myself (CEO) after the employee left and had a miserable time trying to do so. After providing all information including personal information, 3 hours on the phone, and verifications, I thought it was fixed. BUT, it still didn't work on my website. After 2 more days of being incapacitated from taking orders because of some high level of risk (which no one would explain to me), I'm still off line from taking orders. This is a terrible service. No phone number to call, no live chat, no satisfaction, will change to a better service.
Worst company ever; they are not professional at all! There is no supervisor or manager to talk to! BY NOT FIXING MY issue They help hackers to hack my stripes's account. After seven months, they haven't fixed my issue! Emails, calls back and forth, promises, and nothing has been fixed. Anyone trying to use them has to think more than one.
I am writing to inform you that I have had a very bad experience with Stripe. Stripe is a scam!
I signed up for their service and gave them my personal information, including my social security number. They accepted my information and sent me an email telling me that everything was good to go. I then proceeded to use their service, but they decided to close my account after I had received several payments from customers and placed a hold on my account. They also refunded all payments that were sent to me by customers who used Stripe.
This is completely unacceptable and I recommend that no one uses this service!
I provided my id they keep asking and stating that i give give them id and not giving support they have now asked to contact me after they said they couldnt call me so therefore i am saying goodbye what kind of large organisation does this im afraid your standards have gone.
I was supposed to get payouts daily through the scooter company that I work for instead it takes several days for me to get paid can we say litigation attorneys I will continue adding to this review everybody grab their sodas and their popcorn the story could get juicy to be continued...
I hosted a running event, and entrants registered online and paid a fee that was managed by Stripe. During the registrations, leading up to the event, they dribbled the fees into my bank account. The event has been over a week, and they owe me $1400. 00 yet. I've had many communications with them, and get a bunch of double talk. Where's my money? I ask for the entire amount and I get $50 or $100.00. I think they want to hang on to the funds to earn interest off of it. Very disreputable and I don't recommentd anyone using them.
Friends, use caution with Stripe. We are all tight on money, and after finding that a customer had charged back for 4 months of service to paypal, I was essentially left without a way to process funds without first paying back $200 to PayPal. The fail to disclose a mandatory hold on your funds for up to 2 weeks or 10 business days before releasing the funds into your account - which isn't an instant process, as I had become accustom to with paypal. The need another 5-6 business days to wire money, so 16-17 business days before seeing a measily $180 USD. Sent by a relative as I am in dire need of money here in Canada. All business models assume some risk, but stripe holds you money hostage for a long time. I was not told at all about the "mandatory hold of money" nor was I told about the mandatory transfer time for a wire transfer. So if they have to hide facts, I'm be very careful using this service to process money. You'll be better off using PAYPAL.
Don't use this company for website online sales. They hold money for weeks and won't payout any balances. Don't try customer service either they're beyond unprofessional and unhelpful. SQUARE & PAYPAL will take care of you.
I've used stripe for credit card payments for years. I've even used them for capital loans. I've never had a charge back until recently. They deducted the funds from my band account which was expected until the dispute gets resolved but then disabled the instant payout feature as a penalty. For all the money you've made off my business, deduct the charge back funds with no issue and then penalize a longtime customer by removing a feature on my account is the reason I will use another company moving forward.
I signed up for stripe and within 2 weeks i process my first six payments right before my payout date they decided to hold my money. I emailed them just for them to tell me that they don't process payments for stores selling electronics. I ship out a few phones and a laptop now i'm out of thousands of dollars and the merchandise has already been shipped!
They out of nowhere froze my account and made a bunch of refunds of purchases that I already shipped product. I tried to reach support but sometimes they didn't respond and when they did just pre-fabricated templates with no intention to resolve anything.
Stripe and Square are both garbage. Credit card processors in general are a one sided industry. Customers can literally say they never purchased and get away with it and you are left holding the bag and actually get charged a penalty.
Biggest bull$#*!
I am a merchant and used Stripe via BigCommerce. There was a bug where Stripe sent funds to another email account. Even though I own the domain Stripe will not help me to access the funds. This was the fault of BigCommerce and Stripe and yet it has been impossible to get any help. They have stolen my funds. The customer service said several times they will call me back but they never do. I hear this company is going public?!
I was just notified from a company I was planning to order S9 Bitcoin Miners from that they are no loner able to take the order through their stripe and their funds have been seized for 45 day due to Stripe. I thought this was a free economy. I should be able to do what I want with my money and not have some third party tell me what I can and can't do. Banking institutions are scared of blockchain and the freedom it represents. Poor management and customer support from Stripe on this issue when I tried to contact them direct letting them know I indeed authorized this purchase.
Horrible company to do business with. Very difficult to work with. Stay away, you will waste your time and money dealing with their complete incompetence. Horrible customer service and dropped account without notice leaving me stranded.
My client makes the payment and the transaction is missing from my dashboard as if the transaction never happened which means it never goes into my bank but they keep the money from my customer. The customer has sent me proof that the money has come out of their bank and paid. Please help and report them. The support is horrible to no help if you see the payment is not on the stripe dashboard shown in the photo.
This company has been paired with my invoice app. They have readily taken my money In fees for years. All the sudden they require me to run a website that I don't need to receive the money I have earned. They have been holding over 900 dollars because I won't start a website that I don't need or want. They said I was ineligible for credit card payments, but accepted them took their fees and are holding my money hostage. Horrible experience. I have shut down credit card payments, and have found a new service. This service was part of my invoice application. They also have given me no satisfaction Invoice 2 go just so everyone knows. I will also be canceling that application as soon as my subscription is over. Very disappointing since this company has been making money from my work for over 3 years. Now they are holding my money and won't deposit it. Customer service is horrible experience, I had to search internet to even find a real person to talk to, and they said hey we warned you, that you needed a website ( that I don't want or need) but continued to take payments, and their fees, but not pay me my
Money. Horrible experience stay away!
Anyone else having problems with stripe? I made a good few sales with my shopify store, I installed stripe as a recommended payment handler only to discover afterwards that my business no longer met the stripes standards and within 14 working days they refunded all my pre-paid customers and left me to front the loss of lost goods worth a serious amount of money., stock that I dispatched by tracking transport couriers and clearly signed by the customers who had ordered the products
I had no choice but to go back to paypal and process over 50k worth of transactions with them, To this date I have never got an exact reason why stripe closed my account, and to think they are created by 2 Irish fello men and this is how they treat sellers? It makes me even SICK to think about it
They told me for 2 weeks my bank account was wrong when it was 1000% not wrong. I called 3 times, and they verified my bank account was correct but yet I still have no money in my bank. Then they said they fixed it, yet it will still take 2 more days to get the money. When they told me how much I would be getting it's $2,000 USD less than what I'm owed. The customer service person couldn't explain to me why they were going to only pay me $8,000 in stead of $10,000! I have to wait another 24 hours to speak to a manager! UNREAL! STAY FAR AWAY!
Stripe is by far the worst payment provider.
Please do your self a massive favour. Go elsewhere. Their fee's are just riduculous, but to make matters worse, they will come up with excuses to hold your money for as long as they can. Your hard earned money. Id say they are worse than paypal.
Answer: Hi Jon, I'm sorry that you're having trouble with disputes -- they can be frustrating! Unfortunately, when your customer initiates a dispute with their bank, it's the bank that begins an investigation and makes the determination on who gets to keep the funds -- and often times, they do favor the customer. This process is facilitated by credit card networks, but Stripe helps with this process by submitting evidence that you provide, such as tracking numbers. Although we can't make disputes go away, we do try our best to make them a bit easier to manage. As a bit of background on how the dispute process works, the minute that we learn about a dispute from your cardholder's bank, the funds and an additional fee are taken out of our account. In the event that you're able to win a dispute, we return the full amount of the charge and the fee to you, though the fee that we are assessed is not returned to us by the bank. We return that fee because we feel strongly that businesses shouldn't be penalized for disputes that are resolved in their favor. Because it is expensive for us to return those fees in instances were the dispute is resolved in the business's favor, we aren't able to return the fees at other times. In addition, since disputes are a forced refund by the cardholder’s bank and not a voluntary one on your part, you remain responsible for the processing fees for the initial transaction. It can be tricky for even experienced businesses to understand how to handle a dispute, so we've spent time documenting the various circumstances under which a payment can be disputed, and how best to handle each -- I'd recommend taking a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes to learn more. Please also take a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes#how-can-i-prevent-disputes to learn more about preventing disputes. I hope this helps shed some light on our approach here. Again, I'm sorry that dealing with disputes are frustrating. Stripe actively dedicates resources to making this problem better and, over time, go away entirely. We can certainly look into your account and these specific disputes, if you'd like, if you send us a message at https://support.stripe.com/email.
Answer: These are the most significant crooks in the industry but they will get what they deserve I joined a group how will exposed there behavior. It is impossible that they can keep on operating and not get arrested
