I changed banking information and this company has yet to verify my account. Emails go unanswered and the same information has been requested several times. Still no resolution after a month which has held up my payments. Calling customer service is not an option and the wait for chat support is ridiculous. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever had.
I am a dog sitter on the largest dog sitting website. They changed their payout from PayPal to direct deposit to personal bank accounts with Stripe processing the transactions. I'm owed almost a thousand dollars and have no idea when/if I will receive the money I'm owed.
Due to a stalking issue my username on the dog sitting site is different from my legal name. Stripe keeps reverting my payout details to my user name, regardless of how many times I change it. Obviously my bank can't process it without my legal name. I've been owed for two weeks and see no resolution in sight.
I had a customer use a stolen card with my donation for my stream. All the cards were declined because of that I got punished by having my account closed… I went back to paypal so much better than stripe.com.
I have 0 control over what card gets used for my account but I still get punished for it. Highly unfair, poor customer service and trash way to handle things.
I would not advise anyone to use Stripe services,here is my reason.I opened a business account 3 months ago and at the time of opening the account I was asked for a website link to confirm that my items I am selling are not high risk.Now after 3 months and more than 200 sales suddenly my account get closed and I was informed the items I am selling are high risk.It took them 3 months and almost 200 sales later to determine this. And at the same time I have been informed that all current payments received will be refunded to buyers,regardless if I shipped or not.In my view this is a high risk payment method.Think very carefully before using Stripe and look for alternatives instead.
They do not have any kind of insurance, so if your customer uses a fraudulent way of payment they won't ever try to help you. That will be a lost for your business. That is totally unfair if you think in the amount that we paid Stripe for every transaction. I am absolutely disappointed.
With obscure reasons, Stripe will suddenly suspend and close your account and all the payments you had received will be refunded to your clients even though you had shipped and fulfilled the orders. Now I have to bear the cost of the products shipped and the shipping fees for those orders that I cant get my customers to pay me back again. They are thieves, criminals, scammers, fraudsters... Avoid at all cost! I've read bad reviews about them but I still went ahead to give them a chance and i regret it dearly. Don't let them con you.
There is no protection for the sellers on this platform. It's a scammer's safe haven. They take up to 2 weeks to report a charge is potentially fraudulent and your chances of winning a dispute is 0. Use PayPal or risk losing your goods.
I have been hacked to the tune of $5100, it has been 14 days and I can't get a straight answer from Stripe. Fraud will not call me and customer service has no answers other than to say they are escalating it.
Then this morning I got a verification notice at 3:48 AM. I just happened to wake up and saw it. Called Stripe and they said it came from my computer... NO, my IP address was hacked. I will no longer be doing business with this company.
Stripe has been holding $4350. 00 for over a month and no one will call or refund the money. My clients and I have both been sending emails because there's no other way to contact this company, and we get a response that stripe can't process the money but will refund the money in 5 days. I have a feeling we'll never see this payout or return and I'm going to be out $4350. This is a joke and I wouldn't recommend stripe to anyone who values your money.

My business partner paid the invoices through this DEVIL company, and after some transactions, they froze our money $6800, saying it was not authorized! We sent all required documents, and now
NO REACTION. Our law is guilty here, to let SCAMMERS like STRIPE steal our money! Everyone should write a BLOG OR REVIEW ON LINKEDIN with hashtags! I won't stop until I get my MONEY BACK and will post wherever I can.
PLEASE CONTACT IRS FOR THIS Company, I am pretty sure they have a lot to hide! More we do, less something like this will happen! You have to fight them back with, what they really deserve!

I looking at opening a viable online business, avoid Stripe altogether as scammers seem to flock to Stripe because the buyer can file a claim and Stripe will just refund their money without any requirement to even return anything. What a deal for Stripes scammers though. They can purchase an item and doesn't even attempt to look out for sellers so the buyer keeps the item and gets a refund besides. It was my mistake to give Stripe a try in addition to the other payment processor I have been using for decades. It also only took one transaction to realize Stripe isn't even a legitimate processor that can be trusted. If you want to be profitable you should not risk your profits because of the incompetence of a processor like Stripe.
I had several accounts for several e-shops. All of them are very similar, only for different markets. Now they terminated one of my accounts with no reason. I tried to contact support team several times, but they just don't answer to my emails. It's frustrating. If they would just give me some sort of explanation, some kind of option to correct it, anything. They just don't answer to my emails and messages. And there's no phone number to call them. It costed me 100 € to integrate gateway that is now terminated for no reason.
I'm very disappointed. Just use another platform.
Worst Never Recommend to anyone. First you receive email that you are all set to go. When you charge your customer. They deactivate your account and deactivate chat option which is only way to get in touch with them. No support contact number. No response on emails. Stuck my $1000 with them and its more than 1 year i was chasing them to get my payout but still no response from them.
Stripe decided that our small business was a risk after demanding financials, bank statements, first-born child. This is after we have used Square with no issues for years. Stripe arbitrarily holds 10% of all of our payments for 30 DAYS based on their arbitrary rules. This is a huge issue for any company, we ship our goods, our customers are charged and pay Stripe immediately and we have to wait 30 days. Do NOT use Stripe.
Stripe stopped paying saying there is a security concern. Fine. No problem but we CAN NOT get them to talk with us to resolve. They send an email once a week with zero resolution. Zero calls. We are a small company and we are now 4 weeks without payment.
They don't want to solve a huge bug for already 10 days, I cannot get payments from my clients! I wrote them many times to support, they didn't even listen to me properly, seems like they ignore my problem at all. I have already started loosing clients and money! Service is 0! Not recommend them at al!
I have a friend who actually works at Stripe so I thought it would be a good company to use form my merchant processing. However, I have only run into 14 -10 day processing payment times using ACH, unknown merchant fees, and horrible customer service. I would stay away from this company. It is not merchant friendly.
Very bad service, surface try to pretend help you. But did nothing. We accidentally click on the button without confirmation, and it was charged $6600, and it was mistake, and I did refund immediately, but they refused to refund any cent back to us. it was charged $192 for this wrong button click which was no confirm at all. Please use other company with the fees refunded service. They were not helpful from customer service. Very disappointed at all. Not recommended.

They don't give a damn about your security, well being, large or small business, etc. They only exist to trap your funds as long as humanly possible to prop up their stock price. Money trapped on their "platform" and you want to just move on an refund the customer? Too bad, they're keeping their outrageously high uncompetitive fee. That is if they even complete the refund request at all.
Resist interacting with this company at all costs! Write your local state legislators. Only together can we bring these clowns down.
Should have read those reviews before starting with them. I mean seriously what a bunch of inconsistent idiots. They $#*!ing $#*! with your account until you call it quits and don't bother about it anymore. Their concept of what's considered a high risk buisiness is completely flawed.
