I had booked with Smart Fares for the sector Bom to Lax on 1/5/23. Received both Airlines and Smart Fares confirmation code and amount charged to my card also. The fares were reasonable at the time of booking. The fares shot up in the course of three days and I received an email saying the first leg of your flight is unconfirmed. Apparently, they are not honoring confirmed bookings on the pretext the booking has not been ticketed. This is after 3 days of booking. I checked online and the same flight for the first leg is available as of now.
Kindly beware of dealing with Smart Fares as apparently they are cheating customers on false pretexts. I am registering complaints with concerned regulatory authorities.

Completed my first flight booking with Smartfares. So far the experience has been seamless and satisfactory. The ticket pricing was actually cheaper than offered by the original flight company.
I received prompt email confirmations and important information without asking. I have no complaints and so far, no regrets. As of now I would probably use Smartfares for future travels again.

SmartFares is crap. I paid USD 93.63 as a cancellation fee, then after cancelling my flight 3 days prior to the flight I haven't got a penny of refund, even the cancellation fee itself. I made a numerous calls and the answer always was "we'll call you back". No one ever called me back. Asking for the manager, the answer "I'll send an email to my manager". Probably it's a joke too. Finally I gave up.

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
