We have been online for over 2 years and also have a retail location open for just over 1 year. Our website had a pretty efficient Product Reviews system, but our business was not getting reviews. We noticed that our retail location benefited much more from reviews and we began our own in house efforts to get Google reviews. We typically don't have challenges with reviews and we often receive high marks, but asking each shopper about a review can be exhausting - especially when you are trying to get just one or two more. We had come to the point where we hoped word of mouth would catch on.
We met Signpost via one of their other clients when we received an email asking us to rate our past shopping experience. It was a very easy and fast system and we contacted Signpost to learn more. Right away the engagement was Enterprise - something you get from an established vendor that has built layers of support to help clients. Our plan level gives us a dedicated support rep -Chris and a team of others. Our first onboardin call was one of the easiest set up calls ever. We attached all the applications (4 of them), connected to email client and verified everything in - ONE CALL.
We quickly signed up based on the ease of our clients use, the reach into Square, Google My Business, Quicken, Shopify and other software applications.
Within the first 30 days we doubled our Google reviews as well as saw a significant growth in our Yelp reviews. Right away the cost can be justified and our site rankings is growing too. Looking forward to the rest of the year with Signpost.
I've been a Signpost client for about 6 months now and I am just thrilled with the results that I have gotten in that time. I started with about a dozen reviews and now I have over 100 on Google, and more than that on Facebook. I have had several new clients that found our business on Google say "I searched on Google for a local tee shirt quilt company and you guys have so many great reviews!"
The support that I have had has been stellar as well. I recently used Signpost to launch a FB campaign. Kimberly spent SO much time helping me understand the process as well everything that is involved in the campaign. Brandon did a great job setting up my ad and was a pleasure to work with. My ad is doing great and I have had almost 50 people sign up for our promotion!
Another huge benefit of Signpost has been the use of managing and organizing my clients. Now I have several easy to use lists to contact clients as needed by category and the emailing function is very easy to use.

I, like so many others, got talked into something that isn't a right fit for my business. They were so pushy that even if I did like what they do I would not recommend them. Then when I talked to a manager to cancel, all he kept saying is I haven't given it enough time. When I found out my customers who give testimonials will get emailed again to write a yelp review and then emailed a third time to give a google review I feel I was not told the whole story of how it works. (i thought once they gave a review it automatically went to the yelp site and the google site) I don't want my customers constantly harassed with emails. I worry this will hurt my business not help it. And of course, like so many others have written here, I have now no way to cancel without forfeiting half of the money for a 6 month trial period.
After I wrote the above review I did get a call from a supervisor, (after a lower level supervisor tried to get me to be patient and try to use it for a little while) who also saw this review, and had my money refunded. Because of that I am changing my rating to 2 stars. I do hope they train their people better.

We are very pleased with how easy it has been to get the Google reviews we wanted. This is the reason we signed up with Signpost and it is working extremely well. Happy clients are posting high ratings and writing great reviews. I like the easy access to our dashboard to see If any clients have a complaint or are just feeling neutral about our services. We are able contact them directly before the issues escalate and they appreciate our timely response.
We did have a hiccup in the beginning that is probably unique to our situation and the difficulty anyone has, even Signpost, with dealing with the monolithic Google. We have three offices (we do not have storefronts) across two states and initially decided to consolidate into one location so all the reviews would come to what is really one company. In hindsight this was not the best decision due do how Google uses pinned locations and it took a while to resolve this issue as we waited to see how Google responded to this change. But to Signpost's credit, once we decided that we wanted to switch back to three unique sites, the transition was smooth and the reviews were successfully redirected to one of our alternate locations. And the reviews just keep coming in! Thank you Signpost. We are getting exactly what we wanted when we hired Signpost.

We signed up for the review services and received more reviews than 2 months than the company had received in its history. This was very effective.
I received a cold call from a sales rep in regard to my new photography business. I told them up front that my budget has been set for the next project, so I would be more than happy to listen to their offers, but that if I were interested, it would have to occur after those took place. The rep proceeded to call me every day and get his manager to call me numerous times where each time the wording implied that I was being a fool to not take such a grand offer (borderline inappropriate articulation).
I finally had to becomes extremely stern and tell them to stop calling me altogether because I didn't have time to attend to the research it demanded and since they only give 24hrs to get that "magical" deal on the monthly bill, I can tell them right away that I won't be proceeding with the price that comes after. After one month of finally not receiving calls, I got a new number dial from them. The same rep asked if I had changed my mind at that point to which I declined. He said, "ok" and immediately hung up on me.
I will be honest, I was curious about the CRM initially and would probably have moved forward if the pressure marketing hadn't been a factor. Getting hung up on after being constantly harassed sealed the deal on me never doing business with Signpost.
A must have for any small business owner. Signpost helps capture leads for new clients as well as helps retain the current ones. Great product and great service!
I get called out of the blue one day from these guys while I am at my day job, I run a martial arts school part time. I tell the guy that I am not interested, but it seems being polite doesn't work as he continued to harass and harangue me on the phone just to give him a time when I could see what his company does.
It didn't matter that I told him a half a dozen times that I was at work and couldn't talk. It also did not matter that I told him I was also not interested a half a dozen times.
I finally had to yell at him and hang up.
A week later they called back.
And then again.
And again
And Again.
Every single time they call (they are blocked on my phone but it still comes through my call log), I mark it on the do not call list that the government runs. So far I am at around complaint number 32.
Have never done business with this company.
I would NEVER do business with such a company that conducts itself this way.
I have asked continually to not be called but they completely ignore me. How good would they be for my business if they can't even stop calling me when I tell them to?
Think about that.
If/when the FTC ever gets off its $#*! and nails a few companies for being SPAM generators I hope that this one is right at the top of the list.

Answer: A contract is reuired, you must pay up front, and they will not allow you to cancel. Stay away!
Answer: Signpost takes a lot of work to reap any benefits; it's not as easy as the pushy sales staff would have you believe. The real problem occurs when you try to leave. They require payment up front (in our case one year), and will not refund anything when you cancel. This is a very shady company, and I would recommend staying away!

They bill you in advance, will not refund what they have billed (even if you quit using the service), and make it very difficult to cancel. In our case (sounds like others had similar situations), we had to cancel 30 days before the contract automatically renewed. I contacted Signpost the day after their $2,000 charge appeared on my credit card, and they refused to budge. Nothing... Best to stay away from Signpost!
Answer: Dave W, it sounds like you a have a really terrible job, trying to justify the way Signpost treats clients. In my case, I'm out $2,000 with no recourse, for a one year contract that I don't want. Shame on you!
