The newsletter has a total lack of integrity and has become synonymous with enabling short attacks. There have recently been numerous articles on Seeking Alpha with anonymous authors. Anonymous? Really? A recent one was by Night Market research, a made-up name by someone whose bio says he is a "Trader/Investor with credit and equity management who likes sharing investment ideas." In other words - well - we really don't know. Mr. Short Seller (at least he admits he is) goes on to quote in his article opinions for Expert #1 and Expert #2 (both unnamed). How is such market manipulation even allowed? Because people allow it. I encourage everyone to boycott Seeking Alpha, cancel subscriptions, and encourage others to do the same, in order to demand better standards.
You'd be better served staying away from this site. Read a good financial book or two, and don't allow yourself to be driven by this site's dubious authors. We are ALL short Seeking Alpha and its dictatorial editors.

Have watched them publish nothing but lies on Justin Costello. A clerical error by a copywriter doesn't warrant full frontal attack of a company. They will be sued this time! Probably by the shareholder that lost money too!?!
Hi Donald,
Thanks for your note and we apologize for any misunderstanding.
We strive to ensure all our articles are factually correct but we do not keep any biases towards anybody's opinion. Authors are allowed to publish bullish/bearish articles on stocks that are long/short (respectively), providing they disclose their bias. Active investors with "skin in the game" often have some of the most articulate opinions on a stock, and we encourage them to publish their opinions on Seeking Alpha.
If you find a Seeking Alpha article containing a material factual inaccuracy, you can dispute it using the following steps:
Submit a dispute by emailing disputes@seekingalpha.com. Please be sure to include a link to the article under dispute in addition to the above information.
Identify precisely which section of the article you dispute (quoting the text), and provide supporting evidence of your claim that the article is materially wrong.
(Please do not use the dispute process to disagree with the author. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion about a stock; that's what makes a market.)
In any case, please always feel free to write to us at subscriptions@seekingalpha.com

This site actually used to be reasonable but it has deteriorated to complete trash. There appears to be zero review of the articles published and the writers, in general, don't have the knowledge of finance that even a first year finance student should have. Wrong assumptions, ignorance of generally accepted models and methods, and incorrect mathematics abound. Then when you point out their errors they either argue or get downright nasty even if you direct them to any of a number of commonly used textbooks which they obviously have no desire to read. Get your investment advice from your barber instead.

Site lets absolutely anyone publish "investment advice" anonymously, as a result most articles are secretly written by stock promoters or short sellers looking to make a buck off of stock price manipulation. Premium service is also a scam, editors are only capable of selecting articles based on length due to their lack of financial knowledge and overall intelligence
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for your note and we apologize for it took us this long to reach back.
Every contributor on our website goes through a rigorous screening process. Every article posted on our website goes through a rigorous editing process to ensure quality and accuracy.

Despite sending an email early this year requesting not to renew my subscription, Seeking Alpha renewed my subscription without any notice prior to or on the renewal date. Their policy only allows 24 hours to cancel a renewal. I have never seen an investment service with such unethical rules. They refuse to make any concession or even a partial refund. An outright unprofessional and dishonest business. AVOID THEM.
Hi William,
Thanks for your note. And apologies for any inconvenience caused to you.
Confirming your subscription to Premium was cancelled and a full refund had been issued. The credit should reflect on your card account within the next few days.
We'd love it if you could consider updating your review once you can confirm the receipt of the refund and based on your experience with Seeking Alpha.
Thank you!

You are in real trouble if your investment info comes from this garbage! The writers seem to take quotes or information out of context and make it seem like it's true. This is the worst kind of site because they do no actual investigating... they just take stories from other sites and alter them to fit their personal agendas. Stay away!

Like the concept of different authors but i trade options, price targets would be helpful. The best idea list is a good, but I've bought based on this and had names fall off the list after I've picked them up, not sure if i should sell them because of this or not. Sometimes getting info is difficult, the timing aspect, for example I'm in TX, which currently is ranked 20 on your best ideas list after dropping 20%, i bought it when it was in your top 10, is it still a good buy at a lower price. Many articles are rated neutral, not useful.
Hi Alexander,
Thanks for your feedback, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Price Target can be easily found on a Stock page under 'Ratings Tab' > 'Wall St. Analysts Rating'.
Please stay apprised that we do not offer buying/selling recommendations. Here at Seeking Alpha we empower investors to make the absolute best investing decisions by leveraging our independent and balanced stock research, fundamental analysis tools, crowdsourced debate, reliable news, and actionable market data.

I was drawn to seeking alpha based on their claim that their recommended stocks outperform the market at an exceptional rate. Over the past year, much of my stock market success has come from Motley Fool. I think it's fair to say I will allow my SA subscription to expire, and go full throttle with the fools.
Hi Charles,
Please be informed that it is our endeavor to make the site as user-friendly and beneficial as possible, and we will ensure that the feedback reaches our Product team for further analysis and improvements.
I would also like to thank you for your valuable feedback as feedback like this, helps us to constantly improve.

Seeking alpha has some nuggets of great information in some of their articles. However any serious negative or challenging questions to authors on the site results in your posts being deleted. This service can be an echo chamber unless you are pure vanilla and never have challenged topic to bring. You can learn some information from some authors but the editors suck.

Seeking Alpha is a very helpful tool to navigate the market with advice on buy, hold, sell on each stock.
I fully appreciate this site and am a subscriber of the Premium subscription.
The possibility to try different services for 14 or 30 days free is also a very good feature.

Overall, a good experience. The most helpful area was others analysis and reasoning for buying certain stocks. The quality varies greatly though, some analysis is very high level and basically useless, while others is in depth and provide a well thought out/researched thesis.
I think it provides a good starting point for idea generation of investing for novice investors.
Thank you so much for taking a moment to review us, Sterling! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear that SA is hitting the mark for you.

I took advantage on 2/21/22 of their 14 day 1/2 price offer free trial on the "premium service" with no charge until after the free trial period.
You cannot share your subscription w your spouse/partner either.
They charged my credit card immediately.
I canceled on the 12th day and now I'm trying to get a refund. So far unsuccessful.
Update: I was contacted by SA and they said the free trial was not available when you use Apple Pay which THEY offered as a payment option.
They offered an additional 14 day free trial but I declined.
I did get my money back by rejecting the charge on my cc
I have updated the stars fr one to two for their effort.
Hi Stephan,
Thanks for you feedback, and apologies for any inconvenience caused.
You were billed upfront since your purchase to our subscription was made directly via Apple.
As per our records show, the subscription was cancelled and refunded.
If you come across any further concerns, please reach to us at subscriptions@seekingalpha.com and one of our representatives will be glad to help.

Horrible. Took. Over 5 calls to fix
Started premium service on a monthly basis
Converted to annual service as of June 9
Received receipt confirming same
Just revive monthly credit card receipt indicating
You again charged my credit card for july9 -/aug 9
Will advise credit card co never to honor charges to my account by seeking alpha ever again
Hi Harvey,
Thanks for your message and we apologize for any inconvenience or misunderstanding.
Our records show that you had subscribed to the Annual subscription via our website on June 09,2021 and thus you were charged an annual fee. However, you had a monthly subscription signed up via Apple for which you were directly charged via Apple on two occasions, on April 08,2021 and May 08,2021.
As you may be aware that credit card charges do not materialize before becoming a part of your monthly statement, the charges may have appeared on your card a month or 2 following and now due for payment. You may also contact your credit card provider to check the original transaction date of the charges in question.
Furthermore, please be informed there are no other charges associated with your Seeking Alpha account.
In case you need any help with your account or subscription please write to us at subscriptions@seekingalpha.com. We'll be glad to help!

Having just read some of the "critics" I must demur. Their rage is hyperbolic and therefore, untrustworthy.
If, for example, you had followed the advice of the Fear and Greed writer you would be very successful. Same goes for Jani Ziedins. You pick your advisor you take your losses or profits accordingly. At least here you are exposed to a vast range of opinions.
On the minus side, I do find that it is annoying to be excluded once I have used up my 2 articles (I am not a subscriber) but then I have long ago worked out who to pick for a valuable read so it is not such a problem.
To those of you who still want to rant I advise reading Karl Popper, one of the most interesting logicians and philosophers who ever lived, next only to Aristotle. He will give you a more sober approach to the critique of others' work. In veritate locuti sumus ad iram. Oliver

As an investor and someone looking for investment insight I have used many of the same sites everyone else uses. A friend told me amazing insight about a common company we both are invested in and I asked him how he found his information. He told me about SeekingAlpha.com. I signed up and was hooked from day one, I entered my portfolio (2/2023) and it's the primary tool I use now for investment insight and market information. Great research and consolidation of industry info is done in an intuitive fashion, I use the iPad version of the tool primarily.

Answer: There was only one question in the are of your question: it was do they work in eastern time zone? I'm in the Central time zone and all times reflect my time. Although I didn't see any option to change to Eastern time. If I had to guess, I would think it could set local to members because they got everything else so right.
