Ryobi enjoys a mixed reputation among its customers, with notable strengths in product quality and versatility. Many users appreciate the performance and ease of use of their tools, particularly battery-operated lawn equipment, which is praised for its efficiency and lightweight design. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to warranty claims, service delays, and difficulties in obtaining replacement parts. Complaints about inadequate support and communication suggest a need for improvement in customer relations. Overall, while Ryobi has a loyal customer base, enhancing service responsiveness could bolster its reputation further.

I got a backpack blower from ryobi- was super excited. Less than three months in and less than 3 times of use- THE PLASTIC which carries the motor BREAKS. Fine, i'll send it back to get fixed. HAD to go to HOME DEPOT which is where their service dept is-I don't even want to get into the home depot service. 4 months later they still have my backpack with no communication except from my end asking when it will be fixed. They say the plastic is not covered- of course because they use cheap plastic for a heavy backpack. On top of all of this, they tell me to get a third party to check it out -what does that even mean?! So frustrated I am never buying from them again in case it somehow breaks, FYI- I am extremely delicate with all of my tools and extremely OCD.
I recently purchased a Ryobi edger and I love it! I have been a Ryobi customer for several years and I absolutely love each and every purchase I have made! I have 3 trimmers, a drop saw, and 4 different size drills, and a sander along with numerous bits and drill bits. Ryobi tools are very durable and easy to use. I do all the repairs around my home and sometimes for friends and neighbors. I wouldn't, want any other tools for my work that I do. Ryobi is the best tools for any job!
Although it is quite expensive I am happy with this 4 cycle gas trimmer because it works well and uses little gas. I highly recommend this because you can order other parts to connect to it to do many different garden jobs.
PURCHASED THEIR WORTHLESS TOOLS. THEY DO NOT WORK NONE OF THEM THE DRILL IS WEAK AND WORTHLESS. THE SAW ALL WITH NOT CUT ANYTHING. THE SKILL SAW LOCKS UP EVERYTIME YOU TRY TO CUT SOMETHING. SO ALL OF THEIR TOOLS ARE MEANT FOR NO PURPOSE BUT MAYBE BARBIE AND KEN CAN PLAY WITH THEM. BUT SURE DO NOT WORK TRIED TO RETURN AT HOME DEPOT THEY WOULD NOT LET ME. SO BUYER BEWARE. WORTHLESS TOOLS.
Just got it. Tried a trial run trimming. Worked great. Seems to be good quality and well built. Good power!
I bought an electric lawn mower and electric pressure washer in 2020 During COVID. I am already having to have a new batter sent for the lawn mower and the pressure washer trigger handle is not working. I was told the part number to order myself. Both are just two years old and I am already having to deal with defective products. I have a lawn mower Gas that is 20 years old and still runs. Live and learn get gas and not electric as they do not hold up like gas products do. Think twice before you waste your money.
I bought a Ride on Lawn mower 1 year a go doesnt turn on Bought a 2 year warranty and they are running away from their responsabilities. Garbage material 5000 dollar bad service.

We have a few Ryobi products. Our firsts were a 18v cordless drill with batteries and a 10" sliding miter saw. We built a deck and rebuilt and porch. Then we bought a 18v trimer/ edger. My husband like it so much I bought him one. Our next product will be a table saw. We love Ryobi tools.
I'm a women that love to get outside and do a lifeless yard work. This battery operated weed cutter make it a lot easier for me. Just place battery and trim and it's light weighted just right for a female
I have purchased a Ryobi battery powered lawnmower unit for the first time. My front & back lots arelevel &are about 800-1000 square feet. It takes me about 45 minutes to cut. I have used the unit 3 times & found that the 20" mower is easy to operate without a need to recharge the battery during the cut. So far, so good!
Last summer we needed an easy start lawn mower. We bought a battery operated one and it is so easy to start. Love it. This summer we just bought a whipper. The rep at Home Depot was so knowledgeable about the product. Gave us lots of info to consider and choices. Not a great selection to chose from in store though. We wanted it same day. But pleased with our purchase.
Ryobi is a lesser considered contender in the world of namebrand power and hand tools. They provide EXCELLENT power and functionality at a fraction of the cost of other brands. Their selection is second to none, and the battery platform CANNOT be beaten! Don't Sleep on Ryobi.
Es una marca con mucha calidad e innovación

Excelente marca
The shield does not fit properly. Took it back to Home Depot and got another on. Same problem. Called Ryobi and they are sending me another shield at no charge. Watch this space to see if it fits.

Recently moved to a smaller house with very small front lawn only. Gave my big gas powered mower to my brother in law but never figured out what I was going to use. Neighbor had one of these and I borrowed it once. Excellent product. Just right for my needs and I bought one right away.
Answer: I own 2 chain saws, 18" bar and 14"bar, both run excellent, I have cleared a lot of trees over the last several years on property up north, thank you
Answer: Yes, call Ryobi's 800 number. They will send a replacement. The same thing happened to me.
