The wooden chess pieces are more then what I expected. Great quality and I love the size, shape and style of them. Arrived quickly and packaged well.
The only thing I would like differently is if the felt bottom was a nicer quality. I may end up changing that myself.
But overall very happy.

The pieces are incredibly beautiful and well-made. The pieces that I bought were cheaper than the original price because of the "slight imperfections" as they titled the product. The imperfections are barely noticeable and I am very happy with this purchase. There was a little delay in shipping but customer service was excellent and I was even given store credit for for this little hiccup. If I need any more chess related products in the future, I would buy them from Royal Chess Mall.
I ordered a Jacques Reproduction and an ebony wood matt finished chess board from them and can say that I am pleasantly surprised by their level of service and quality of product. This set is beautiful and the chess board is very well constructed. Quick delivery to UK in 5 days via DHL.
Lots of small imperfections with the product including latches not closing, dents in wood and misprinted dice. Despite a month of chasing they hardly returned my emails. The price was very high for item so extremely disappointed.

I would absolutely love the reproduction of the austrian chess figures BUT...!
They are beautifully done, the "antique" finish is also very well executed.
The only downside is that some of the figures are wiggeling because the weight was not placed deep enough into the figures -
This is sad, because it is the final step when manufacturing chess figures.
A little bit more time and concentration at the end and the figures would have been a clear 5 STAR rating.
My previous experience with Royal Chess Mall was very satisfying. However, my most recent purchase was disappointing. The 21" Large Chess board - Golden Rosewood & Maple - 55 mm Square- Algebraic Notations was severely scratched an all corners and even the surface. In spite contacting Royal Chess Mall four days ago, I have received no response.

I have bought with Royal Chess before, only last buy I got a chess board and it wasn't clear that it will only ship to the US, fortunately I have and address in the US other wise it would be a cancelation order that could turn in to a problem, I think Royal Chess mall have good products, good prices, good customer asistens, I would just recommend to make more visible when ther´s some restriction, other wise I'm happy with my experience at Royal Chess Mall
I really like the improved French lardy made by RCM. Have bought the Chavet, Durbvnik and their Prestige chess set but this one is my favourite.

I ordered the chess pieces #19-4148 on *15/12/2022** and when I have received the order I found that there are imperfect 4 Knights of Model 215YW34. I email to you within 24 hours to claim for a replacement. You informed me that you would check and reply. That is a year ago and I wonder why it took you so long to check and reply.
I ordered a new chess set and paid the fees requested, not only was it late, there was a difference in the king sizing. Plus trying to get this resolved has been somewhat testing to say the least, just fobbed off every time I ask for an update. It's a shame as the sets are good but after care not so.

Product and service have been fine, however FedEx their carrier is inept. My present order has been wandering around NewDelhi for 5 days. In the past FedEx has not delivered in accordance with protocol. I'm sure they will live up to my estimation of their reputation this time as well.

Really impressive set, in my opinion best looking. Spent weeks deciding on what set to get, then finally where to get it. Royal Chess Mall had exactly what I wanted (French Chavet antique finish) and at a great price. Only saw one YouTube review to base my decision off of. Glad I did. Fast shipping. Relatively good value. Nice set. I think the photo shows a felt bag for the pieces which the set didn't come with but it's not overly important. The board is nice hardwood that might get damaged if you travel a lot with it do the whole set could do with a slip case but otherwise great set and delivery.

Unfortunately I found it difficult to confirm the size of the chess pieces needed for the board I'd chosen and was disappointed to find the pieces a lot smaller than anticipated. I reordered a larger board and larger pieces but was anxious about them arriving in time for Christmas if I waited for a refund. For this reason I processed the return separately and was shocked about the return postage costs. I wish I had taken a great deal more care before confirming my original order
