It's a scam! Pay a premium price for the product, and then they want residential income for a cloud service which you already have with your iPhone or other smartphone! Don't waist your money, the app should allow you to store "Your" videos anywhere you would like! How is this a deterrent when you cannot store the videos unless you purchase their service? Total crap called greed and the response from the device to your phone is very slow regardless of the speed of your internet connection.

Pain in the rear

Received ring as a Christmas present. Hooked up, would not work. Door bell rang constantly. Customer service determined our internet was too slow, and we needed a mechanical door bell. So, more money to upgrade internet and purchase simple "ding dong" mechanical door bell. Door bell will not work, but at least it not ringing constantly. Camera worked for two weeks, battery went dead. Recharged in doors, and now will not work at all. Customer service cannot help, with internet upgrade and new doorbell. It has now been 13 months. Sorry, SOL.

Awful

I followed all instructions to setup and register ring account. Initially I got access from phone ok then all of a sudden I can't access doorbell and it wants me to login again. But now my password no longer works! Have to go thru setup again and now have to go thru several so-called verification steps. I ended up with about 6 emails and 2 text messages plus another half hour of wasted time before I could get in! Worst f---ing software I've ever seen.

Ring Doorbell is garbage

I've had it six months and it no longer works. Customer service is non-existent: all they do is send you links to troubleshooting articles you've already read. When it did work, the lag time was inexcusable. By the time you could connect to live view the person is long gone. If they are there, the sound connection is a garbled mess. There's no wifi problem, but Ring appears to believe your doorbell should be in your office attached to the router. I've been telling them all the steps I've taken and what is happening (or not happening) and they keep telling me to read the same links, despite telling them I've already tried these steps.

There is no telling what will go wrong, or when, on your Ring Cameras. Poor motion response time, poor mechanics in user operation of various features, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. The one certainty is this: total unreliability and a constant source of irritation, frustration and regret for not checking reviews before buying this piece of sh#t.

Their customer service is worse than Bell and Air Canada combined! Their CHAT wait time is absurd and when you get through they cut you off (three times!). PayPal payments get rejected, and I got an email from PayPal about this. I wanted 4 cameras, but have given up on them.

Bought two floodlights and a recommended chime pro to extend my WiFi. Still does not work as advertised. Now they want me to purchase video capabilities. Nothing mentioned from Hsn. Support can't help. Never removed one from the box and going to box the other two items and ship them back.

I'm sorry. I want to make sure that all of your Ring devices are performing properly. Do you happen to know what your upload speed is in particular? You can check by visiting www.bandwidthplace.com on your cell phone, and running a speed test right next to where your Ring Doorbell is installed. We also recommend running a speed test right next to your router, and comparing the two speeds. Sometimes, even with high internet speeds, the connection isn't as strong at the front of the house. Offline Drama

You typed: "Horrible product… it goes offline all the time. I have already talked to support and they tell me it is our WiFi… so now we need to update WiFi to get the ring to work correctly. This is Not a good product because this was not disclosed at time of purchase. It goes a off line about every 2 or 3 days most times. I'm very unhappy with the product.

0 STARS! DO NOT BUY RING PRODUCTS! What a disappointment is putting it mildly. I bought 4 products (doorbell, 2-floodlight cameras, stick up cam) from Ring. Paid $265, to install, to find out that one of the none of the devices worked. Spent hours on the phone with Ring to absolutely no avail. Finally told them I want my money back including cost of installation. They refused to reimburse the installation but sent 5 different return labels with no explanation which label goes with which product. Had to call again to get that information.The stick-up cams came 2 in a box and they sent 2 return labels, they cannot wrap there head around it was one purchase and told me to attach 2 shipping labels to box. I am screaming in my head and don't know where else to turn. If I want an alarm system I will call an alarm company. Unfortunately, I also have to pay to remove the products so I will probably be out $365. Just going to cut my loses.

Every time i try to view my doorbell, I cannot view due to Ring always trying to get me sign up for a contract. Sent Ring many emails to complain about this with no avail. Would not buy another Ring product because customer service is non existent.

When we first purchased the product it was fabulous. We were alerted the moment someone came into view. Now, our alerts arrive well AFTER the person has left. Like so many others are stating, the product has become useless! Don't buy the product if you're considering this type of purchase!

Sucks don't bother

About 80% of the time the app doesn't work. The ring safety alarms all suck and won't connect! The tech support are not very informative! They tell u one thing I do it, they said I did it wrong! The online support is lacking.

Problem resolution
August 5, 2022

Ring Customer service was unable to handle a Camera phone download problem. Worst Customer service I've had in a long time. I will be burning the cameras and going with someone who's set up is not as complicated and Customer service has the ability to handle small problems with getting cameras to show up on the phone as they advertise. Bad, Bad, Bad - save the headache and get something else. My purchase of the cameras was made over a year ago so receipts are no longer available but; the monitoring plan was paid for and still active but that will not happen again.

I am on my second ring doorbell pro. It works great for about 4 months and then it starts to lose connectivity. I have four ring wireless cameras that work flawlessly. I am not sure why they can't get it right with their doorbell. My advice is to stay away. I won't be purchasing a third doorbell. They are absolute garbage.

Always buffering when I need to go live. Never catch any of the actions and motion you need and want. A car accident right in front of the house and did I catch it No. My neighbors handicap ramp stolen broad daylight, right across the street. Did I get it on recording NO! My neighbors. Came over cause I said I had ring and they wanted to know if they should get one. I said he'll no. I'll be selling these $#*!s on eBay or Craigslist and getting some real Hardline $#*!.

250 dollar piece of junk

Save your money and don't buy any ring door bells.
They crap out and there's no support from the company. I'm and electronic tech and it's built to stop working once the battery and internal cap goes bad. Replaced both defective parts (battery and Capacitor) and it won't go into setup mode.
White ring just goes round and then times out.

I have 2 x wired cams, 1 x wireless cam, 2 x doorbell / cams - and they are great - when working. WHEN WORKING! Totally unreliable. I'm a very experienced IT guy of over 40 years, and I can tell you now - I'm surprised Ring is still trading. I guess if everyone who is experience problems, got together for legal action - things would get very interesting.

You just can not rely on these devices maintaining a connection - mines on a high quality signal / Mesh network. You can not rely on a reliable detection, or live view connection, or uninterrupted stream.

Someone at Ring needs to get their act together - and sort these problems out. Meanwhile - if you want a system that is reliable - and does what it claims to do - then look elsewhere.

Bought two flood light cams for front and back of my home.
Both worked fine.
Six months goes by and my front no longer works.
I emailed them and was assigned a (ticket number) and the automated email
Said they would get back to me but I had to keep after them to get a response.
They did send a replacement but it will not go into setup mode right out of the box.
I emailed them three days ago and have had no response yet.
I will let you know how this goes...
I learned not to email but to call them.
They sent me another one. Got it up and going. I am happy!

Not workings cameras

Just had a really long conversation with Ring customer service, absolutely nightmare I spend an hour explaining that I have a black screen for two days it was working fine from March 2023 and the lady keep telling me that the problem it with my internet and she is unsure why my ring it's working from beginning with my internet speed. She didn't wanted me to connect me to manager I know my rights, keep saying she will say the same thing. I finally spoke to manager she have helped me within 5 minutes. At the end manager have told me they have added some privacy zones to my camera by mistake that's why I had it all black for 3 days. Very not satisfied with customer service they have there.

Stop with the ad's!

So, I'm trying to watch a YouTube video and your AD popped up 7 times! And the video was only 20 mins long... Just as something cool was about to happen in the video, Your AD would start! Are you serious?!?!?!?!?!?! Why? Get a life Ring! No one wants your camera! Anyone could just knock that camera off the wall with a hammer! Ha Ha Ha Ha. Waste of money for something so easy that could be broken or taken..
