Horrible! Do not use this site. Worst customer service ever! Gave me a run around for 2 hours with no results. Incompetent staff has no idea what they are doing. Just tried to reschedule, After 2 hours on the phone 3 separate times I was advised it couldn't be done.
Do not use this website. They are set up to make you think you are at the hotel's direct website and then sell you a nonrefundable reservation without labeling it as such. Called them literally 60 sec after I made the reservation and they refused to cancel and told me the supervisor was on the phone and could not talk to me. They have an F rating on the Better Business Bureau website.
Their site masquerades as the hotel's own site. If you search for your hotel name in google, you may be directed to a reservations.com site.
The kicker is that they charge a $20 nonrefundable fee on all reservations. Why? NOBODY else does this. They're crooks, and it's a scam. Oh, and the fee isn't even disclosed until the very last step, after you've already entered in your credit card info and address. It pops up in the fine print on the very last confirmation page when you click the "Confirm" button.
Did I mention it was nonrefundable? You can try calling them, but all you'll succeed in doing is getting your blood pressure higher.
Avoid this company like the plague. And look out to be sure that you're not booking through what you think is the hotel's own website, but turns out to be these crooks.
Deceptive companies like this are the reason the phrase "buyer beware" exists.
Beware... They make it look like you are dealing directly with the hotel website, but, in fact you are in a reservation.com website & nowhere is it mentioned that you will pay extra fees to reservations.com. Also, you will not see a breakdown of what you are paying for until after you pay. If you are a Canadian, staying in a Canadian hotel, you will find out on your statement that you are being charged U.S. funds. Good luck with the customer service in the Philippines. Fat chance that they will do anything for you. Total Scam!
Recently went to a friend's wedding who blocked off rooms using Reservations.com. Registered with them and was told it would cost $117 for the night. We agreed and went through with the process. When looking at the transaction the following night I found that I had been charged $200 for the night. The $117 CAD was transferred to American and charged, with an additional $20 service fee that we were not told about. When I called to ask about it I was told the service fee would not be refundable and the company would conduct an investigation and get back to us within a few days. We never received a phone call. Would not recommend using especially if you are Canadian. Takes your money and makes you overpay like crazy.
I knew better, but was tired and not paying close enough attention, so I thought I had gone directly to the motel's website. I booked my room and suddenly the price I was told I was charged was almost double what I had been shown anywhere else. I noticed my mistake and called customer service immediately, but they basically just said "tough luck, goodbye." Thankfully when I called the motel and explained my mistake they were able to at least get me the type of room I wanted, but I still paid this ripoff, scam of a business their $14.99 booking fee. I will always make sure to avoid them in the future and I recommend buyers beware! They're just as expensive as the actual motel rates, plus their fee. They have deplorable customer service and make their living off of scamming people who don't pay enough attention.
I went to a hotel website typed in hotels in Guelph, Canada and saw "Reservations" so I assumed it was the hotel's reservation desk. I live in Canada staying & wanted to stay at a Canadian hotel in Guelph. My hotel was suppose to be $91. So I made a reservation then got a confirmation email from Reservations.com saying the reservation was made in for almost $150. I called them immediately and was told I had been given all of this informat7ion was there before booking in which is a lie. Why would a Canadian make a reservation in Canada and pay American dollars for it, this makes no sense at all. I have placed to calls to customer service to speak to a supervisor in which I was told by the 1st person, one wouldn't be available to the weekend & the other one said someone would call me back. I go into my banking & I have been charged almost $190. So on top of this I have been charged in American funds. They wouldn't cancel the reservation. To say this company is dishonest, fraudulent rude. She said that she could not give me my $150 back it was actually $190. Nothing is revealed about is being in American fees. The site took my information & gave me a reservation number but no breakdown in fees as I would not have proceeded to book with them. Vital information is withheld to the consumer. This was the worst experience on booking online, I will never use RESERVATIONS.COM!
Reservations.com - the site quoted me one price and then reservations.com charged my credit card a higher price without my authorization. Within a few minutes, I called the number on the confirmation to cancel the unauthorized charge. I spoke with a rep for 22 minutes. I challenged the charge with my credit card company and reservations.com gave them a lot of false information, including telling them I never tried to cancel. I have records and screen shots of everything. The Better Business Bureau in Florida has hundreds of complaints about this company. Never use this company! They are out to scam everyone and should be put out of business. Remember, reservations.com - never use the site.
I was booking a hotel in Canada and was emailed a reservation for a hotel in New Mexico for the wrong dates and double the price. I called them right away and was told there is nothing they can do that there was no refunds. They are total scammers. I don't know why they are allowed to be in business. STAY AWAY!
I went to a hotel website and saw "Reservations" so I assumed it was the hotel's reservation desk. I'm in Canada staying at a Canadian hotel. I made a reservation then got a confirmation email from Reservations.com saying the reservation was made in AMERICAN DOLLARS AND WAS NON-REFUNDABLE! I called them immediately and was told I had been given all of this information before booking WHICH WAS A BLATANT LIE! I HAD NOT BEEN TOLD ANYTHING! Why would a Canadian make a reservation in Canada and pay American dollars for it? The confirmation email was the first I heard of my reservation being charged in American funds and being non-refundable. They said they'd gladly cancel the reservation BUT WOULD KEEP MY MONEY which in my opinion makes them THIEVES. To say this company is dishonest is an understatement! Vital information is withheld until you get a confirmation where all is revealed! By then they've already hit your credit card. I'm expecting unauthorized charges on my credit card in the future; it's THAT kind of company. USE ANY COMPANY OTHER THAN THIS ONE! I made a reservation later with Expedia.com and had no trouble at all. Everything was explained up front; all charges, Canadian funds, how to cancel a reservation, etc. If you want a good reservation experience, NEVER USE RESERVATIONS.COM!
Tried to book a stay at a Super 8 ive stayed out several times before... couldn't get a direct line to the hotel only to this pack of shady crooks. Made a reservation... intending to pay upon checkout like I have done my whole life at hotels... only to discover these criminals had gone ahead and charged the full amount without my permission. And didn't even send me a confirmation email. I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANY SUPER 8 EVER AGAIN NOW THAT THEY ARE USING THIS SCAM COMPANY AS THEIR BOOKING AGENT.
I booked a room on 3/6/18. I hit the reserve button on a room rate of 229 US dollars for one night, filled out all my info and CC number and hit submit. Their confirmation email boosted the room rate to 279.39 dollars. This DOES NOT include the 14.99 fee and taxes also charged. Final total of my supposed 229 per night rate was 355.98 dollars. Immediately sent customer support a screen shot of the 229 dollar posted rate on their site and they didnt care. THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETELY DECEITFUL! DO NOT USE THEM!
Don't ever use them. Can not change, charges double, non refundable, pretends to be the hotel, can't cancel even if you call 1 minute later the hotel itself crown plaza in Danbury can't help says it's the websites policy, when called. And the site says it's the hotels policy. It's a big rip off scam and should be prosecuted
They are scammers. They take your credit card info & the use other booking sites to book your stay & then it is WEB & LAYERS to get your card credited. I am going to HOUND them to the ends of the EARTH & I am getting my credit DIRECTLY from my credit card company. File a FRAUD investigation against them! They also try to keep the $14.99 fee if you cancel, even though they don't disclose it.
I search a hotel in my same Canadian province. The website came up as if it was the hotels. Identical. I booked it as if it were there booking agent. After my trip I got the invoice and it was in USD funds I contacted them and told them I was in Canada and the hotel was in the same province. How can I pay US funds when I booked in Canada. They said that's just the way we do it. When I asked to talk with the supervisor. They hung up. A 2 night stay of 160.00 $ turned into a 320.00$ stay.
So sad, how can you do business like that.
Not returning. Stay away
Rip off, scam, crooks.
Don't tell you the details. Once they have their credit card number, you are doomed. No turning back. Their investigation takes 5 -7 business days. Which I don't know what it means. I am going to tell anyone and everyone I know to stay away from them.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I WOULD STAY AWAY!
First of all, the site is designed to make it look like you are booking directly through the hotel, when in fact you are booking through this random US company. Look at all the reviews online and you'll see that this is a common complaint.
Secondly, the company says that their policy is to not charge a cancellation fee, and yet I was charged $14.99 US. The fee is disguised as company fee, but the company is effectively just toying with words. I was effectively charged a cancellation fee of $14.99 US.
I am a Canadian and I was booking a Canadian hotel. Yet the transaction was processed in US dollars. In no universe does this make sense. The company needs to figure out a way to process in Canadian dollars or it needs to make a welcome exit from the Canadian market.
If you try to contact their online support, which they proudly advertise, you'll be met with someone who can provide almost no assistance. Instead, they tell you that you need to call their phone support. Looks to me like the hurdle of being put on hold and navigating their phone system was put in place to dissuade people from contacting them with issues.
Do Not use Reservations.com. We booked a room at a Days Inn in Cheyenne, Wyoming specifically requesting the same or similar room as we had walked in and received two weeks earlier. The reason was because it was near the pool and we were driving 6 hours and were bring the grandkids to swim there. When we arrived we discovered the pool was broken, had been for 3 days and would not be fixed for 3 more. They would not refund our money totally. After we requested the room because of the pool and they knew the pool was broken.
Went to hotel to book room and was routed to reservations.com which I assumed it was the hotel reservations. Tried to book room and they switched it to another state at a hotel by the same name. Called immediately and the refused to fix the problem. I am still dealing through credit card company trying to get resolved. This company is owned by Priceline.com.
Thought I was dealing with the actual hotel and soon as I entered my info and payment BOOM your card has been charged with all kinds of fees, total rip off. I called immediately to cancel and they tell me it will be $14.99 to cancel. I will be very aware of what I'm doing next time and will call the hotel. Then to top it off they told me it would be 10 to 15 days before I get my credit. WTF!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
