I only wish I'd done my research on Quotatis as well as the tradesman. Referred to what appeared to be a nice guy but turned out to be a total cowboy. Ruined my roof, damaged guttering and got paint everywhere except where it should have been. Followed complaint process and got the legal "we accept no responsibility" jargon. There is no vetting process for the traders, they don't care as long as they get their 30 pieces of silver from the job. If you're looking for a website for refer a cowboy.com you have found the right website. Absolute shower

Was looking for a boiler on many sites. Sadly i entered details in a site that was the front shop window for this crowd called Quotatis
Never heard a thing for 3 hours. Then i was bombarded with calls for over 24 hours from small business self employed plumbers etc. These poor guys are wasting their money on Quotatis. As I had already spoken to people from on ene of my enquiries. Got quotes and setup a deal to to enter the premises i owned. Emergency Check one the boiler leaking water. Then agreed a replacement for the following morning. All this within 30mins of my original internet investigations.
I dread to think for how long i will get calls to my tps registered phones. Then my details probably passed/sold to a third party or two.? So traders beware i the customer is not getting your call for the job in hand quick enough. Unless my enquiry is passed on immediately to the tradesman in selected area. Your services are being overlooked.

We are registered on this website but despite paying 50 pounds a week we have not managed to get and quality leads off it. I would say 8 out of 10 leads are Dudd. They must have bought a batch of no answer numbers and adding them onto there database of leads to make out they have more leads than they do. Rated-people have genuine customers that we are always able to get in contact with, 1 out of 10 would be a job answer. Even then I can get a credit now. I think I will be cancelling very soon.

I sent an enquiry for a small domestic job. I got lots of emails saying they were still looking for someone in my area to perform the job and with each mail the job description kept changing until it had nothing to do with what I was actually looking for. I also got called by an automatic calling service asking me to call them back, which I did not.

In the end I found a reputable local company that did the required work.

But I'm still receiving these emails, their is no way I can see of stopping them sending me emails apart from creating a filter in Gmail that automatically deletes these nuisance emails.

Read the small print and you will see they accept zero liability for traders they put your way. They put me in touch with a well documented rogue trader who ruined my garage roof, ruined my car and stole £200 from me. All in all I am out of pocket £2000. When I followed complaint process the best they could offer me was ' talk to trading standards', wow thanks guys that never occurred to me! Worst of all after researching this particular con artist I noticed other people had also been stung by him in this site! They clearly do not vet their traders in anyway shape or form

Despite repeated feedback about their poor traders, I received no reply from quotatis. One of their "recommended companies" was a real cowboy set up so clearly Quotatis don't vet their traders. I had to send the cowboys packing after they went on roof started removing tiles and told me I needed a new roof. Local trader told me that the leak was a result of extreme weather and all I needed to do was to keep an eye on it. Avoid Quotatis and their traders like the plague.

29th Jan Chimney pot replaced Birds nest stated as removed finished up in fire place accident or deliberately? No information of this to us Lucky we found & Removed before reinstating gas fire this could have been lethal:
Mesh put on top of pot not secured with wire fell in garden Wind or picked of by the birds!

Before we new of the 1st events We given them another Job on roof of our shop also paid for and still no response to return as promised to complete repair work agreed since 4th of Feb
No confidence that Quotatis can enforce a response from this recommended " business "

Excellent service all round. Boiler working brilliantly. 10 year guarantee. All you need is an annual service (£50) so no insurance needed with e.g. Scottish Power or other. If you work it out it's a no brainer. Lower gas bills, no insurance. In effect it means you can have a new boiler every 10 years for the money you have saved in gas bills and insurance.

Contacted quotatis to recommend installers for a satellite dish in central Edinburgh. All I got for a week was emails telling me that they were finding people to contact me. Gave up today (8 days later) and rang a few installers myself. Took 10 minutes to get three quotes, and my dish is being installed tomorrow.

Don't bother (as a consumer) with these people.

Used Quotatis to look for roof/gutter cleaner. First time got contacted by someone sounded quite good on the phone. Accepted his offer. He turned up very late on the day, looked quite dodgy, hang around outside along time before knocking on the door. He then said the job is a lot more difficult than he thought and would cost a lot more. After sending him off to ponder over his new offer, I posted the job on Quotatis again. Got contacted very quickly by another who immediately came round and made an offer which I accepted (regretfully). He did a bad job for what is a lot of money, we were robbed. Even during this there were other making contact which also sounded very suspicious, One even impersonated the builder I tried to contact but dialed the wrong number, he fooled me all the way and nearly turned up to do the job that I have given the other builder. He only stopped when I realised my mistake and called him to tell him about it... there seem to be a lot of dodgy builders from this Quotatis website... stay clear

Two people contacted me regarding the polling of a large willow tree. Mark from Anglian Tree Services contacted me almost immediately and came to carry out a survey. We agreed a price and a date for the work to be done. His tree surgeon had the tree polled in about 4 hours and then Mark and two others cleared up the site and took away all the rubbish. My garden was left tidy and great care had been taken not to damage any plants, structures or ornaments. Highly recommend Mark and his crew from Anglian Tree Services.

We posted the job on the quotatis site, had a few quotes then Danny from DB Fascias came round the same morning as he was in the area.He gave us a quote there and then which turned out to be very competitive and a day he would be available, true to his word he came on the day arranged with Mark. The job was to replace a polycarbonate roof and make weather proof, they did a great job and since then the weather has got worse but the roof has weathered the storm brilliantly. He removed all the rubbish and we would definitely use him again.
