I have made almost $70 from selling and they are trying to deposit it in a card that isn't listed! Customer service has been an absolute joke!
Purchased a pair of coveted brand of $480. Nike off white "dunk" lot 34.18th bday. Never showed. Poshmark asked ME for the order number. I sent a note inquiring; no response. Contacted poshmark. After SEVERAL days, response with an inquiry for me. They asked for the order #. REALLY? After another several days, surprsry! They can't reach the seller ( THEIR seller). So they apologize and send me a 5 step procedure on how to cancel this item to be refunded. Again, REALLY? My response: the only action I'm taking is to contact my bank IMMEDIATELY! I ordered these on the 17th of April and still going back & forth on the 28th. It's quite confounding that Poshmark hasn't figured out the screening process and whether or not the people they represent will commit FRAUD toward others. It's a pretty basic tenet that's integral yo their business. Proceed with caution, people! Shocking to me that they would ask ME, the paying customer to provide the order #, then ask ME, the paying customer to jump hoops to cancel an order that was paid to THEIR seller committing fraud! I paid what was asked IMMEDIATELY! Who's getting protected here? True story!
NEVER AGAIN!
I am a high-rated seller through posh with over 2000 followers, 100 sales, and over $1000 worth of sales and Poshmark decided they wanted to restrict my account for something I was never aware of. Everyone on this site offers to sell cheaper on other websites because of their incredibly high fees and unjust profits they take out of your sales. Not knowing this was "against Posh policy" I did the same as everyone else. I NEVER received a warning (although they claimed I did) and wasn't even aware that this was a rule on Poshmark. Thus, they have restricted my account and made it HELL trying to get it back. They want me to send them a DRIVERS LICENSE with all my personal information just to have my account unrestricted...? Totally unrelated and unnecessary. Side note, if you try to contact them they either never respond to you or your issues don't get resolved until a MONTH later. I used to recommend this app to friends and followers of my blog but NEVER again. I'm now preaching to everyone I know to NEVER use this site and use Depop, Mercari, ANYTHING before Posh.
I bought a pair over jeans for over $100 after the seller counteroffered me. She doesn't ship for the first three days so I send her a message asking if she can ship before the weekend. She says she'll ship saturday morning. No tracking updates or emails so I wait until monday to message her again. I get USPS emails when even a label is printed with my address so I knew she never printed it let alone shipped, she blatantly lied about it. She doesn't respond to a message about tracking or whether she actually shipped. So I message her later asking her to just cancel the transaction as its rude to not ship and even more so to lie about it. Within ten minutes she cancels it and blocks me! WTF? She couldn't bother to ship or respond to a message, yet I'm blocked for asking her to cancel it? Does she not like money? Is she scamming me? What is worse is after five days I went and read other comments on her other sold items and MULTIPLE buyers had the same issues as me. I saw numerous comments asking if she'd shipped or that weeks later they were still waiting on that shipment she told them she'd mail out right away. I messaged the buyers and they replied that they eventually had to cancel the transactions as she never shipped. Avoid carolineparker_ at all costs! Honestly, she seems super immature and shouldn't be selling on any site if she can't ship something someone paid for or communicate. Those are literally in Poshmark's list of guidelines, communicate with buyers and update them with shipping information. Probably best to avoid Poshmark in general but definitely *******@carolineparker_
Slow sales. Over the top commission deductions. If you sold $15 theyll take 2.95 instead of 20% whats the difference? 5cents!. Lol. Then $16-up is 20% deductions. The buyer pays for shipping of 5.95 total of 5lb.if you sold more than 5lbs, seller pays the difference. Buyer always ask the impossible low ball you never seen before make you feel that you rather donate it.So if you sold $6 then less 2.95 = 3.05 is yours. Youll drive to post office or take the train in nyc for 2.75 one way. Then you go back and pay again, youll get a total of losing your profit plus paying more.So never sell one item thats not worth selling for. Sell brandnew and in bulk is the only solution but you will wait a thousand year to be sold. I prefer Mercari than this shark poshmark. Although theres a lot of scammers but it depends on what you buying.NO fee. Your payment is not release unless you receive and happy with your item.If you are selling you have an option of shipping it yourself. So goodluck! But i wont never recommend Poshmark
This site is worst. I have purchased several items, then to cancel the order due to no response from the seller.
Wouldn't recommend. I sent items & they were damaged enroute. The seller ends up
With the poor reviews. Not worth it.
I had ordered one cheap item from Poshmark perhaps 2 months ago and I did not have any problems with that order, although they took their precious time just shipping it out at all and didn't explain why there was a delay to begin with. I never intended to order from them again simply because I don't need anything else from them: I usually order from eBay. Anyhow, this week I checked my bank summary and out of nowhere, Poshmark apparently decided to charge me several hundred dollars... for no good reason at all except to blatantly try and steal from me because they kept my billing information from that one transaction months ago. They thought it was easy money for them. These people think just because I live in New York that I must automatically be rich and that I'm not going to notice that kind of money gone from my bank account... Little do they know or care that I'm actually living with my parents after an abusive relationship ended and I can only find one part-time job despite dozens of attempts to get a second job. I'm trying to save up to move. I'm poverty stricken. I don't need more American scammers like this ruining my life again and again. This is so typical of the crime rate in America and, of course, their customer service department snobbed me after initially looking into transaction, acting like I don't exist and they don't have to reply to me ever again. I'm sickened by Poshmark! I contacted my bank and I'm now in the process of filing a claim, but this is all taking so damn long and it's outright so immoral. This company deserves to go bankrupt! I hate so many people in this criminalistic country. Crap like this is why I'm ordering online from China and Europe instead. I'm beyond fed up.
With the whopping 20% cuts they take, I've had nothing but problems with them from BOTH being a seller and a buyer. JUST TERRIBLE. I wish I didn't have to deal with them.
So pretty new to the app and instantly got hooked! Thought what better way to make a little more money than having a garage sell. Sold 2 items, a blouse (no complaints) and a Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Wallet (the complaint). I had purchased this wallet from Macy's for $168 (not including tax) and listed the wallet on Poshmark for $50. If you ask me, the wallet was in pretty good condition for being a "used" wallet. Well low and behold... I get an offer for $40. Boom! I accept. Wallet gets mailed out the very next day. I then get a "comment" from the buyer that says the wallet has more "defects" then listed. And that she is going to request a return through Poshmark. Ummmm first off... I didn't even "describe" the item. There were photos to look at. Second... if she wanted to know the specific condition of the wallet... she could've asked (like one did) and I could have answered all her questions to make sure the wallet was to her standards. Long story short. I get an email from Poshmark saying that they are sending the wallet back to me because she sent photos of the "defects". I think this is such BIG BS! What if this buyer damaged the wallet? What if she received the wallet and just decided it wasn't what she wanted so she ruins it and sends photos to Poshmark saying that's how she received it? This is where Poshmark sucks. All sales should be final unless it's a fake item being listed. Why did she not ask questions like she did on all the other items she purchased. On another note... I've emailed Poshmark about this issue requesting someone contact me regarding this matter. No response. Have emailed them several times and no response either. Do yourself a favor and download Mercari. At least they don't take a percentage of your sells.
Don't even go near these fraudsters
You will regret it!
Spammer malware alert! Poshmark are the lowest of the low
3 out of 4 purchases that the merchant described as "never worn" or "good conditon" have arrived stained or badly worn. The last pair of jeans I got from blick1964 advertised as "never worn" didn't match the photo! They came stained, badly worn in the rear of the leg openings and pockets, and with old gum stuck and dried in the right pocket. I accidently accepted them and they refused the refund even when I sent the photos! I had to petiton Paypal, who weren't much better because I paid 12.90 to return 26.00 pair of garbage jeans! Needless to say, I won't use either one anymore! The sweater I received was also badly stained and the othwr pants, washed out and badly worn. All this junk was listed in good to unworn condition and in my experuence, Poshmark backs the seller! Listen up Poshmark! Without people buying the items, you don't exist! People will keep seller garbage on your site and eventually, as you can already tell by the low amount of people posting on your site, you won't have anyone but crooks trying to pass off their garage sale clothes to hardworking people! Beware! Unless you like spending your day calling customer service, goimg to the post office, and trying to get your hard earned money back, shop somewhere else, it's not worth it! The picture is the half of a piece of gum crusted in the pocket of those "unworn" jeans!
So to be fair, my experiences with Poshmark Canada at first were very good. It seemed like the sellers really cared and put effort in and the system was also set up to make selling easy. My first few purchases were great and my first few sales went well. This is a case of "everything is wonderful until it ISN'T" Sort of like insurance, you don't know till you have to make a claim. So this is what happened: I bought a bundle from a woman running a store called Bala Treasures out of St Anne-des-Plaines. The day after the purchase on May 24'th I noticed something was wrong, the seller had updated to the shipped status but there was no tracking. So I messaged her a few times asking - no reply. Then I messaged on the product page and she said she had never been given a tracking number before. That was the first red flag, this person claims to have made 5000+ sales and didn't seem to understand the concept of the tracking number which appears on every shipping label. Naturally when I told her where the number is she stopped responding. Customer service can only be contacted through a complain form and get this, when they write back 2 days later, you can't even reply to them. This is a problem when you get replies that are missing information or incomplete, which happened a few times. Actually the first time I got a request to review a CS session that hadn't even started yet. Everything went wrong with this order, from the lies from the seller about the product, to the shipping, to the packaging and the quality of the product. Customer service didn't even bother responding to the last message I sent calling them out on the fact that they did not give me the opportunity to cancel the shipment when the product had not been shipped over 10 days after purchase. What an epic mess. This is what you get when you have a system set up to only publish 5 star reviews and hide all the bad ones - a false sense of security for buyers and every seller advertising that they're a "five star seller" what a joke.
Out of the first 4 orders I placed, only 1 was actually ever fulfilled, and that was 3 weeks later. I eventually cancelled the other 3. What a waste.
I used to love selling and buying on Poshmark. It was my go to place to find sold out or rare pieces from clothing brands I love AND I always found some killer deals. It was a great alternative to other social media shopping apps because they had amazing customer service and offered great buyer and seller protection. I could always expect a reply from an actual person within 48 hours (between 2014-2015). Unfortunately, their customer service is essentially non-existent at this point. As a seller, there is no protection. If a buyer damages an item after they receive it or it was damaged in transit, it is your problem. Poshmark will side with the buyer without much question if they submit a report within the 72 hour window. Just this week, one customer purchased a $200 skirt that was brand new with tags. On the 3rd day after arrival she filed a report that it was damaged. Having learned the hard way, I very carefully checked the skirt before shipping (sometimes I even go as far as photographing items a second time as evidence). Poshmark ruled in favor of the buyer without asking for any evidence from my side, even though I alerted them that I had pictures of the skirt prior to shipment. In the claim, it cited a marking (that most definite was not present when it was shipped) AND that the color was not depicted accurately. We used the stock photo from the Reformation website for the exact colorway of the skirt as our photo. I would honestly love to see Poshmark return to its commitment to customer service so users can have faith selling again. Unfortunately, it seems like more and more users are ditching Poshmark for other social media commerce apps. I wish they would invest more into the customers that make the app possible and less into expansion.
I had a listing for a near brand new pair of Christian Louboutin heels. The shoes were purchased about ten years ago and were worn a handful of times. The pristine condition of the shoes shown in the pics proved this.
A buyer made a reasonable offer and I accepted. The offer was made on the Sunday night BEFORE Memorial Day which means it is impossible for me to send out the next day because the POST OFFICE IS CLOSED ON MEMORIAL DAY.
I shipped the shoes Tuesday morning and the next thing I know I get an email saying the buyer made a claim that the shoes I sold were FAKE and they "provided pictures as proof." 100% NOT TRUE. These shoes were purchased in NYC and are 100% authentic. Sounds like the perfect way to order something, decide you don't like it or they don't fit, then slander someone on the site and Poshmark lets it happen! I lost the case, I wasn't shown these alleged "photos," had the shoes sent back to me, and now my closet has this BS tarnish on it. I asked Poshmark how they determine counterfeit goods and they responded with, "we have our methods." Is that a joke?
This company has some SERIOUS kinks to work out on top of the RIDICULOUS 20% fee they take.
Posh now charges. 95 more for shipping charges. They try to find ways to take more money every single day. Nothing but a rip off.
Run away from this site, or you will be sorry! They advertised the purse as being an AUTHENTIC Fendi purse. It looks like something made by a child!
Awful and dishonest site. Tried their referral code many times and it never works. It is a complete scam to trick people to sign up.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
