They took $41.50 from my account even after I had cancelled the registration before the five days expired... And it's hard to get in touch with customer service. I called a few times but no answer, the answering machine/voicemail kept telling me to leave a message, and they will get back.
A few days later...(April 26)
I am glad that at least someone read my post and asked how to cancel their registration with muvflix, and I am very happy that they wrote. At least people are getting concerned... and muvflix too - thank God! When I first noticed that money had been withdrawn from my account by MUVFLIX, I immediately sent them an email (through their "Contact Us"), and then I called them. Twice. But to no avail. Then, I immediately wrote a complaint to my bank and explained the whole situation to them. I also pleaded with my bank to intervene for me and file a case against MUVFLIX. After two emails, my bank replied and informed me that they had filed a complaint to the company (Muvflix).
ONE DAY later (i. E. today), I received an email from MUVFLIX, informing me that they had refunded me and cancelled my pre-authorized payment, but that I will get my money in 6 to 7 days in my account. They also provided me with a reference number. Well, I am glad they are realizing it, and refunding; but you may have to do it through another powerful body, like your bank or a lawyer. I was trying to watch a champions league game and bump into muvflix.com. To create an account you need to enter your credit card details. DON'T! The verification is refused by the site and in two attempts they charge me almost 2 USD in total.
