I bought ticket and paid extra money for ticket flexibility. When I called them for ticket change, they told me after waiting for 30min on paid line that they are unable to change my ticket (I asked 2 day in advance of the flight). After that they told me to rebook with the airline and afterwards contact them with receits that they will compensate the money. Well it has been over a month now and they have stopped comunicating. Never more. Buy tickets directly through airlines!
Dont ever use mytrip. Com, I booked my flight via za.mytrip.com last year flight got cancelled.
First it is so difficult to get to their customer support, I managed to contact after ages and asked for refund. They said that they won't process the refund as the airline Ethiopian airlines is not giving the money even when they cancelled the flight. Mytrip does not want to take any responsibility or provide any support have asked me to directly contact the airline and ask for the refund, in this case tere is no point going throug a travel agent when they are providing absolutely no service.
Awful. Scammers. They charged us for bagging but didn't book it and now won't refund us. Terrible customer service and on hold 4 times with the total call being over an hour for no help
Booked a flight with a cancel insurance (20€ extra). Wanted to cancel the flight. Had to wait 48 MINUTES! On the phone. Canceled the flight, got a f**** voucher in return. Wanted to book a new flight, lovely voucher does not work. Sent them an email. No reply. Try this bull**** chat on their website. No reply. Do yourself a favour and do NEVER book anything over this website!

Airline cancelled my flight. MyTrip asked £30 to process the refund (that the airline would do automatically anyway!) Airline refunded money, but MyTrip refuses to refund me (saying the airline hasn't refunded them). Liars.

I wouldn't give 1 star even. I've booked a flexible return flight with them and had to change my return flight. When calling them to change the flight (as instructed by them), even though I paid for a flexible ticket, the person on the phone said that the system doesn't allow him to amend the flight and he didn't know why. He asked me to call the airline directly to change the flight, then call them back to ask for the fees refund. Not to mention the waiting time on the phone, the fact that every time I had to call them, the call was cut off half way through the conversation which then meant that I had to explain my whole situation again and again with every person from their customer service team. After 2 hours of going back and forth between the mytrip customer service and the airline, they tell me that I have to email their support team in order to get my fees refunded. Also, funny enough, the airline wouldn't send me a confirmation email with the new flight and invoice because I've booked everything through mytrip and they refused to give me any information even though I am the one flying and I am the one who pays for it. So they sent all the detail to the Mytrip customer service. Mytrip replied to my email after 5 days (imagine if I'd have had my flight due in the meantime) and they send me one sentence with no apologies at all or explanation to the situation just to say that they'll refund me a fee of £8. Their customer service is appalling. Never book anything through them, you're better booking everything through airlines directly and hotel providers only. P. S I still didn't receive a new confirmation email with the change in flight and the invoice I paid.

We were originally traveling to 2 different locations but one of the countries is not allowing any tourists, regardless of vaccine status, into the country. I was asking to reschedule our flight because of this but the representative kept saying he couldn't do this even though we purchased their flexible seat insurance. When I asked to speak to another representative because I felt like he was not understanding what I was asking to do, the rep said that wasn't in their policy and hung up on me without any additional information. I ended up calling back 4 times and each time was told that they couldn't make changes because of the airline. I am currently working with the airline to make the changes to my flight and they are able to make all the changes we have requested. This is no way to run a business. I feel as though the company is trying get scam me.

Booked a return flight to Budapest for next to nothing. Should have known it was too good to be true with a scam company like My Trip. Within 24 hours of making the booking I received an email to say my seat on the return flight had been cancelled because it was fully booked but the outward hadn't and so I was asked to re book a new return flight… shock the prices had gone up way more than they were originally. However what was more strange was that my original return flight was still available to purchase online at the original cheap price. I questioned the customer service team (might I add who were near IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of) who advised that their system hadn't yet updated. Pretty poor system in my opinion allowing more people to waste their hard earned money purchasing flights that aren't even available.
Long story short I pushed to get my refund and was advised it would be impossible to get one and if I wanted to cancel my remaining flight, then I wouldn't get a refund. However upon asking to have my issue escalated, I received an email the next day with an apology as well as confirming a refund was being made for the entire trip. So…. Despite what the customer service team tell you… don't believe it. You're fully well entitled to get your entire refund if one of your flights is cancelled or changed because they can't fly you out to a country and leave you out there. I will never ever book with this company again, A) for the difficulty of getting in contact with their customer service team and B) for the scam they present their customers. Posting this review for those still trying to get their money back…. Seems like there's a lot of them! Shame on you My Trip!
AWFUL experience! They'll promise that you can cancel the trip within 24 hours (as mandated by US government) but make it extremely hard, AND charge $100s in "administrative fees", and after all that, as you can see from other reviews here, you might not even get the refund. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
We were booking a Qantas flight and somehow ended up with these crooks. Paid $588 but shocked to find we couldn't get a refund/flight credit AND our credit card ended up being charged two amounts totaling $A1001?

First call 45 mins, and person just hangs up. 2nd call answers after 1 hr, the slowest process in the world, takes 30 mins and then say cant generate payment link call again!. Worst customer service.
My Trip appear to have no knowledge of their responsibilities, putting in terms and conditions that breach their legal obligations to provide full refunds. They strenuously try to avoid paying refunds, they add extra charges, they fictitiously split bookings into two so you only get half a refund, they delay, they keep you on the phone a long time, they refer you to their website when it is no help. They are bad in every way. Just one eg out of many. Your outward flight to Svalbard has been cancelled - we will not give you a refund unless you request it, and when you do request it they say "We cannot give you a refund for the return leg as that hasn't been cancelled", as if you are going to swim to Svalbard and catch the flight back.
Never use My Trip. Once they have your money they will be uncontactable if you need to cancel your flight. Total thievery. First class burglars and scammers.
I booked a flight on July 14 and now it's the end of September and they still haven't finished the refund application to the airline. I mean, how complicated could a refund application be? Why are they taking so long? I needed the money, and it just pisses me off. My advice is to not use their service especially if you expect a cancellation and need a refund soon.

My trip is a criminal organisation! I bought a ticket from Madrid to Colombia back in April 2021. When I got to Gatwick I was denied boarding because of covid/brexit. Despite Avianca saying I have credit with them until march 2022 Mytrip have not offered me a refund or change of flight. This despite me having paid a cancellation fee. They have received communication from Avianca about my credit but are basically trying to keep my £500 without refund or offer of another flight. These are criminals. I've paid for a service and it hasn't been delivered. Criminals, don't use them. I will take them to court!
