Useful Bag

A book bag that lasts years. It has three main pockets which make it easier to organize your materials, all of which can be opened with zippers that dont break easily and dont get stuck on the bag. Inside the first main pocket has 4 different areas to store your materials. The second is just one spacious pocket, and the front has several places to store items such as pencils, flashcards, glasses, and any extra materials you may need. To other book bags that I have had in the past this is several steps above the rest. Other bags can easily break after a few weeks of having them, or completely tear the bottom in just a few months. This one has been in use for 4 years and the only things broken on it were at fault of the user. It might be a little high in price at $59.95, but you would save more money buying this than having to replace one every couple of months. I would recommend this if you dont mind putting a decent amount of money onto a book bag, and dont want to continuously replace bags.

I ordered a jacket. UPS ground never even attempted to deliver it. I know this because I was home when the supposed delivery attempt happened. They never rang my doorbell. They did not leave a note about a missed attempt. UPS ground simply decided to not deliver the package to the delivery location. UPS ground then delivered it to some waypoint that was over 3 miles from my house. Yeah, I am not going over 3 miles out of my way because a delivery service won't do their job.

I called LL bean to tell them about this and they didn't seem to care at all. In fact, they made excuses for UPS ground not delivering it. When I told them that their attitude towards this was beyond terrible, they hung up on me. I had to call back to initiate the return. At which point I was told that they would "attempt a return" for it. Apparently, because it was at some waypoint, they made it seem like they didn't even know that it could be returned. Yeah, this experience was beyond terrible. LL Bean cares if you buy their products. They just don't care if you actually receive their products. Not Sorry LL bean. You suck and your $#*!ty attitude just cost you another customer. I am done with your company.

Update: LL Bean claims UPS is refusing their request to return the package, for some unstated reason. I guess the package will apparently sit at the waypoint until who knows when. Since I bought it through PayPal I have already initiated a fraud investigation. Also, they apparently just tried to call me, after I told them I was initiating a fraud investigation. Let's see how this play out.

I ordered 4 rolling Adventure Duffle bags for my twins for camp. The delivery day came and went. With camp starting in only 5 days, I contacted LL Bean. I expected the great care that I had always received in the past. Not this time! LL BEAN IS NOT THE SAME COMPANY IT ONCE WAS. Nothing but excuses. I was told that my order was "stuck", they were updating their systems, conveyor belts, staff in the warehouse etc etc etc. I was told that they had no idea when, OR IF, I would get my order! Now I am scrambling around locally trying to find something to pack my kids in! LL Bean is an absolute NIGHTMARE. Don't make the mistake I made-order elsewhere!

This is an awesome store!

They have every gear you can think of in regards to weather and other apparel too! All for every age! Even infant and toddlers! They have plus sizes as well as petite sizes. Go check it out either online or at a local store if you have one in town. Oh AND BTW THEY HAVE GOOD PRICES TOO!

Christmas Wreath

I sent my parents a Traditional Balsam 24 in Wreath, they live in Florida (are originally from the north), they love the smell of fresh Xmas trees.The wreath was ordered November 13th or 14th and delivered November 24th, the wreath was dried out & a large amount of needles fell off the wreath. Not a typical amount. Did not have much fragrance. My parents say this wreath will not last until Christmas. I ordered another on December 1st - to be shipped directly to recipients in Montana - before I heard about the condition the wreath arrived in Florida - I will find out from the Montana recipients on the condition of this wreath...

I like the quality of LL Bean products, and especially like that they sell a nice selection of women's clothing in petite sizes. I may be spoiled by Amazon Prime, but 2 weeks to ship is crazy.

I quit the Bean.

Long Bean time customer, moved from Belfast, ME. Saw LL Bean PRIDE MONTH collection. I'M OUT. I want your products, not your lectures on morality.
Funny, veterans bleed and die for this country get one day, VETRANS DAY. These flaunting their ability to abnormally screw each other get a MONTH. Go figure.

I've ordered from LL BEAN since my Parents were living
They liked the Flannel robes and Suede mocisin I once bought them for Xmas when I got older,
There they would sit watching wheel of Fortune in the matching chairs in front of the TV faithfully every night,
It's this picture that comes to mind when I order from them 30 later

Easy returns if need be, and Complete accountability.

Slow returns

Bean is eager to take money but very slow to process wrong size exchanges. Customer service rep janet really needs to pay attention to conversation and more training. Pitiful

They've gone WAY downhill

Quality of their merchandise isn't as good as it used to be. The majority of their stuff is now made in China. If I wanted this kind of quality, I'd shop at Walmart, where, at least, I wouldn't pay as much for it. My experience is that after a couple of washes, little holes start to appear in t-shirts; and zippers on sleeping bags either stick, or break.

Don't even think of trying to get what you want during one of their sales. There's a 90% chance that the item you're shopping for will be "sold out", and the only choice left will be the really ugly colors they can't sell during the year.

Shipping used to be excellent, but in the last couple of years, it has gone downhill. The same stuff I bought a few years ago would be shipped to me overnight... two days at most. Now it can take up to a couple of weeks to get out of the warehouse.

I used to buy a lot of my clothing and equipment at Bean, but no more. Ever since the company started expanding, it has really gone downhill in my opinion. There are too many other companies which still sell good quality merchandise, and I buy from those companies now.

Chatting with an expert is like explaining thermodynamics to your infant, or worse, your dog.
These folks have NO IDEA what you are talking about, or anything about the items in the store or any idea about how things fit or are made or ANYTHING!
If you have a question, forget it and shop somewhere else,
Most of the goods are no longer LLBean's manufacture but simply purchased from a bulk manufacturer in China, so the quality has dropped off drastically over the past several years and is nothing compared to the quality LLBean built it's reputation on.

Clothing can be very expensive so that’s why I shop for the best value not necessarily the cheapest price. And there is a big difference between the two. Trust me I know. I have bought many items purchased at an unbelievable price that claimed to be a great quality name brand only to fall apart after the first or second wash. I was left scrambling to find the “Returns” link only to my horror to find out there was none. One of the first things I look for while shopping for online fashions is does the site offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee? I also look for a company that been around for a while. L.L Bean fits both of these important criteria. In addition, I look for value. And by value I mean clothes that are somewhat timeless. I shop for new styles and colors that tend to be classic in style. This way I can wear them longer as opposed to items that have a short fashion lifespan. Not to say that buying in vogue cloths is taboo just be smart about it. Most of the clothes at L.L Bean fit into what I call a timeless category or as close to it as it can be therefore providing great value I can wear year after year. Many times they will offer free shipping or a free $10 card with purchase. This is the time to buy. Their tees and capris look great and wash and wear very well. If you take care to wash and not over dry them they come out of the wash wrinkle free. There tee three-quarter sleeve v-neck in cornflower blue is one of my favorites.

Towels

I purchased towel from LL Bean that lasted 15yrs... The ones I received a couple weeks ago were pulled as soon as I opened up the Box the quality is not the same LO bean made it right by sending me new towels but the new ones I sent were still pulled again never have I use them very disappointed

I've always had good experiences with LL Bean customer service -- until now. I sent them a fine fleece jacket (actually my favorite garment), and instead of fixing it they sent a new inferior product -- with no communications with me. Now they tell me that my perfectly good jacket (only a bad zipper) was thrown out. I believe their customer SERVICE had become customer DISSERVICE!

Best Quality!

If you have kids L. L. Bean is a must for school supplies and living in the north it's gets COLD! The clothes and outwear are top notch! I've had my rain coat for 12 years and it looks new!
