Lg products are not reliable and the customer service is non existence. We bought an entire kitchen appliance set. The gas range came with a gas leak. Manufacturer defect for sure. Impossible to get a hold of a live rep. And when you do their response is "someone will call you back." No one ever does. They attempted to send a technician with parts. But that didnt fix the issue. They promised a refund then closed our account. Took us weeks to get a hold of someone to have it reopened. Still no return call back and no refund check. We have been without a stove for almost 6 months now. Hard thing to live without. $1400 down the drain. We are furious. Companies should always return the money to a customer if they sell them a defected unusable product. I highly recommend NOT to buy LG products. I never will again and I will be spreading the word.
Known problem with wall ovens burning out if you use self clean cycle. Oven still under warranty. Three service calls and LG was tolby technician they sent that oven has to be replaced. I call for one hour every week, I am promised a call by supervisor and I have never gotten one. 14 weeks no oven. Worst customer service I have ever encountered
LG front loading washer are of poor quality. Before front loaders had an inside light. New models the light has been removed. Very difficult to see if clothes were left behind. Instead of improving their products LG has chosen to remove features. Seems the inside light was removed so you don't see the mold that grows inside the machine. Expect a 6 years life span from your washer, after which be ready to spend some hefty legal tender repairing or repurchasing. Steer away from LG washers.
A 3700. 00 refrigerator died in less than 2 years. This company does not support products they sell. If you call customer service don't expect help. Took me weeks to have corp office to call me. After two months still trying to get this resolved.
I have a refrigerator that is barely 3 years old, that on Thanksgiving 2023 died, I lost HUNDREDS of dollars in food, meat and drinks. When I called lg to have it repaired I was asked to wait 3-5 business days... on the end of day 5 they still didn't have anyone to repair it and asked again to be patient with no time frame set this round. The representative was rude, the service is lack and apparently their products are horrible... no wonder they have such lengthy vague warranties that don't cover anything.
Waiting over 3 months for a refund of 606.00 on an order they cancelled and said can no longer deliver this product.
Each and every phone call ends the same way. " you should receive a refund confirmation email within 2 -3 days. "
Created account to purchase new filters for my LG Refrigerator. Used my email and created a password. As always made sure to write down. Not even 2 hours later went into the account and kept getting user name/password do not match. Tried numerous times yesterday and again just now. I used the forgot password feature and used my password that I could not access site with, and I was told can't update using my current password. Created another password and once again can't get in. What is up people? Really. I know my email is right, since I've already gotten I can't tell you how many emails. Next time I'll just order from Lowes, or Amazon.
Warranty work is near impossible to get scheduled. I had over 20+ messages on stovetop and dishwasher. Would not advise purchase of appliances. I am awaiting a check for cost of dishwasher. They don't pay you back for installation costs. Never again will I purchase anything from LG
I spent 6 hours today, 3 trips to Best Buy, 3 phone calls with LG customer service before I finally returned the rear speaker kit for my expensive LG soundbar. You cannot add rear speakers later, so I've found. Their box with the sound bar I purchased said compatible with wireless rear LG speakers, but cust service (after the third call) said no. Very misleading information, conflicting stories. They don't care about my wasted day trying to get the speakers to sync. What a waste?
The worst service I have ever received. The previously spoken to reps refuse to take repeat calls and it's impossible to leave any feedback as it never connects following a call.
Repair technicians inputs (TTC) are misinterpreted in the favor of LG rather than the customer.
I have a small leveling issue with a $6000 range top. The repair tech agrees that it's a manufacturers problem but the report released by the TTC department is incorrectly stating that its an install issue.
I had purchased two air conditioners one of LG and another of carrier on 5 June 2023. However, the cooling of AC of LG was not upto the mark from time of installation. I first complaint at customer care on 07 June 2023. Their service engineer came, checked, refilled gas. However, cooling was still inadequate. Since then I have been repeatedly complaining. There service engineer comes every time, takes some data and sends it to company. However, cooling of AC remains unsatisfactory. Unofficially, service engineers claims that cooling is inadequate but they can't say anything but their job is limited to take data. Data is also taken at maximum cooling mode and settings where as govt is insisting on running AC at 24 degrees Celsius. In comparison to this Carrier company AC is excellent. I purchased an LG refrigerator with a pull out freezer in 2016. I had the compressor go right at the beginning of the pandemic. Waited several weeks for someone to repair it. Their customer service was horrible. They call you back in 3-5 business days with an appointment for a technician to come fix it. And you are waiting another week or more for that appointment - all with no fridge! Well here we are Friday Dec 17,2021 and the compressor is shot again! And someone will call me back in 3-5 days to book me a technician to fix it. This will be the 3 rd compressor in a fridge not even 10 years old.
LG is garbage. Buyer beware. And their customer service is worse! I will never ever buy LG again.
Having issues with my LG refrigerator and been passed all over customer service. It's been two weeks we can't get an appointment because no one in the area will work within because they do not pay their techs for the warranty work my fridge still has a four year warranty on it and there's nothing I can do. I even made it farther up the customer service line and they don't care about customer satisfaction at all.
Requested a technician to fix the issue with oven not heating up but turns out it was my house's electrical voltage not being enough. He was here not even an hour, did not and could not fix the issue and still charged me nearly $400. I called LG customer support for a refund and they have been playing hide and seek with me. I don't even make that much in a whole day!
We received a new LG stove with a dent in drawer. Asked for a new drawer only. They agreed to send. Weeks passed with no word. Called to check. Have been getting the run around, nasty service rep who hung up, promised calls that never happen. Terrible customer service!
I bought a 55 lcd tv last Black Friday for our new house. It was opened to check for any visible damage but I did not turn it on but there was none to be seen. It was resealed and stored till we moved in and when I turned it on the screen it was an array of coulors at the top. Neither curry's or LG will do a thing despite it still having all the packing, no mark at all on the box or protective foam and definitely did not get damaged or squashed by us. They tell me after 30 days the warranty is over for damage and that this issue was caused probably in transport somewhere despite it not having any visible damage on the tv or box or packaging. Absolutely shocking service. Will never buy from curry's or an LG ever again

LG is associated with a vendor called JustAnswer. If you have a great deal of time to spend chatting and an easy question AND plenty of money to pay for easy answers, sure. Go ahead. Otherwise search for answers on the web. That's probably what they do. The products are good though. They should do something to upgrade their customer help.
Not only have I never had a pleasant experience, but I am calling from the US, I should get someone on the line that speaks audible English in my opinion. It is very hard to get troubleshooting assistance over the phone when there's a language barrier.
I have had several LG products from appliances, TVs, to cell phones. I had at least one issue calling for customer service support. The reps seem to had their jobs(the ones that I could understand). They were extremely limited to the help they could provide and accommodations. I mean most companies will offer something for anything to supplement your troubles. Not LG, they make you feel like oh well not my problem, and they truly could not care less. I will never ever buy another LG product. Neither will my family after what I and others my family and I know have gone through with this company and their lack of give a darn about their customer approach.
My LG microwave died after only 4 months. I called LG the next morning. After waiting 25 minutes to speak with an agent, following his "diagnostic" instructions, and sending him photos of my purchase receipt and the stickers on the back of my unit, he told me that I would be receiving a check to reimburse me for the cost of the unit (because the repair cost would exceed the replacement cost). He said that I would be receiving confirmation via text or email. I received no confirmation, so I sent a text. No response. Three more texts over the course of the day. No response. Finally, I called again in the evening. Another 15 minutes waiting for an agent. After finding my file, she informed me that there was a policy change a YEAR ago, prohibiting reimbursement for defective units; and mandating replacement. That I have no option but to wait (without a microwave) for 9-16 days for a duplicate of the microwave that only lasted 4 months. I will never again purchase anything made/sold by LG.
Answer: They have dangerous appliances, and refused to reimburse us for the repair of an almost new (but over 1 year old) oven that was clearly a manufacturing defect (see image.)
