Their business is awful and I hope Amazon takes them out. I put in an order over a month ago and it still hasn't arrived because they go by "business days." My child will outgrow their uniform before this $#*! arrives.
If you order something from Lands' End, I highly recommend you do so 2 weeks or more before you need it. The shipping is the slowest of any other vendor I order from. Invariably their shipper is always late. I ordered something 14 days ago and called customer service; they don't know when it may arrive, and DHL has no details on why it is delayed or if it will ever arrive. They offered me a refund, but my item is now out of stock. No solution. Someone in leadership should really empower customer service to provide real solutions for the people calling them. That is the purpose of our call. Equip your people, Land's End!
Lands' End tall clothing is almost exclusively knitted fabric. I heard this is because knits are easier and cheaper to manufacture than woven fabric. But it often results in an ugly product. So many of the Lands' End tall women's clothes would be great if they'd just make them in better fabrics. And if they'd actually add length to the torso the way they say they do. Half the tall dresses come with a waistline that is practically "empire." You end up looking like Holly Hobby.
If I could give zero stars I would. I originally ordered oxford shirts for high school and received toddler sizes! I had to return and reordered the shirts on 8/9 via phone at the time I was told 11-15 days because of embroidery. I called to track order has not been embroidered yet as well as not be ready till September. Worst customer service ever - I don't care attitude! Now I have to ho elsewhere to purchase when school starts on 8/29. Never again beware they are slow and not willing to accommodate parents.
Lands' End has excellent quality merchandise. I love their business line, as they can put any business logo that you send them electronically on most of their merchandise. The prices are higher than they should be, however. I wait for when they have a free logo or free shipping promotional.
You'll note that the majority of complaining here is actually about customer service on online orders, not about the clothing itself, and a lot of it is pretty petulant whining. I've purchased numerous casual clothing both in-store and online when on sale, and have found the clothing to be good quality, well-fitting, as-described, and very good value. I encountered some minor hiccups when ordering backlogged items during the holidays, which is 100% expected and not in any way a deal-breaker. I would not pay full price for anything and purchase my tailoring and business clothing elsewhere, but when certain casual items come on sale, I move on them and have never been disappointed. Much of my casual wardrobe is Land's End.
Lands End has been my "go to" store for several years. You can't go wrong with their clothes. They are comfy, well made and last and last. I especially LOVE their bathing suits. There is such a selection of styles, colors and sizes. If it's not in the store, you can usually find it on line.
Ordered four shirts with my company's logo on November 07,2021 for extensive company travel starting January 10. I'm sure it's a fine product, but I won't find out until I don't need them, because Land's End took so long to deliver. I received a confirmation email the same day stating that one of the four shirts was back-ordered past that date. No big deal, I can get by with three shirts. Lands' End charged my credit card on December 22. I received an email on January 1 that my order was "on the way" and checked their website which said the order was shipped on 12/30. The problem was that the UPS tracking number didn't do anything until January 5 when I learned the shirts were not going to arrive until January 10. $190 worth of shirts I won't need. I am recommending to my company for another logo provider.
A friend and I shopped at the Fair Lakes store in Fairfax Virginia on 10/12. Diana was very helpful - showing us where to find the clothes we sought. She helped us in making choices for our different sizes and styles. She assisted my friend in ordering items online that were not in the store. She made this an very enjoyable shopping experience.
Was told returning items for merchandise credit with Happy Returns would be instant, but it took 11 days to exchange a pair of pants. I had to call three times! Don't buy at Lands End! LL Bean has much better service and quality clothing
Wonderful high quality merchandise at reasonable prices. Outstanding customer service. Lots of free shipping offers. I almost never shop anywhere else. Returns are free at any Sears store with a Lands' End Shop. And the best part is that something is always on sale!
Having ordered many products from Lands' End over the past 30 years, I can recommend them unequivocally. The products are exactly as described, in my experience. Their customer service is excellent, as well: responsive and easy to navigate.
They do not stand by their product. Washed jacket by itself that's less than 5 yrs old and nylon pulled away from bottom part of breast pocket. It clearly shows it in the pic I sent them but since it's past the 90 day return time frame I'm out of luck. Can't sew it because it's rubber around whole edge of zipper. Do yourself a favor and shop from L. L. Bean.
For many years I have have purchased my son's uniforms from Lands End and had been satisfied. My last two batch of purchases within the last year and a half have been a huge disappointment. I purchased several school uniform shirts and a gym shirt, and every item developed several small holes just a few months after normal wear and taking great care to wash correctly. Also on two of the uniform shirts the threading is coming undone. It used to be that my son's Lands Ends uniform shirts were in such great condition after he outgrew them that I could donate them, now with all the holes they are trash before the school year is out. So sad to see once quality merchandise go down. I don't know what they are doing now, but they need to go back to what they used to be. Very disappointed!
Called me to verify payment for an order placed online. Charged me AGAIN. Customer Service refused to refund or issue a call tag for duplicated order and are still charging ME for the return. BOYCOTT this greedy weirdos! Taking money by any means and keeping it. Disgusted, I don't know how they stay in business! Happy Holidays, we're keeping you addition $100 and we'll process your return after you pay to send it back and it sits in our warehouse a month. Completely infuriating!
What a delight! The quality of Land's End products is superb. Seams and hems are beautifully finished and the sizing realistic... none of this large = size 10 stuff. The fabrics are really good quality and the dyes fast. These garments are built to last, without looking like combat fatigues! The service and sales events tick all the right boxes and if you do need to return something, you can actually drop it off at a Sears or If you are ancient like me, you can always con someone into doing it in return for some dog or kiddie sitting. What's not to love?
I ordered received the product returned it. They tried to screw me out of 65 bucks refunding only 44 dollars of the 120 dollar order. Put me on hold for ever. Said have to wait for refund after already been 4 mo. They are crummy employees too stay away they will rip you off
Do not waste your time or money. How do you advertise being great at customer service just to be the opposite? Seems like this call center is full of bitter, old, mean hogs that have no real remorse for customers and no real ability to provide good customer service. They will get your order wrong and then act dry and nonchalant when you call in for resolution. If you want your card charge 3 times just to be running around returning merchandise or waiting forever to get it then good luck shopping with Land's End.
Looks like all the other reviews were written by the company. Lands End used to have great products - Until they were bought by Sears. The quality has gone down dramatically. No Iron shirts need ironing after 1 wash, the hems on the pants come off, even before a washing.
Ordered a gift to be direct shipped to a friend. Two weeks later, after getting the run around, they cancelled the order. They said it was no longer available. This was for a long- time friend whose daughter moved out of state and her cousin just died. She lives alone and is now depressed. We live over 200 miles apart, so she is pretty much isolated. This is a 76 yr. Old woman, so she doesn't get around much. I'm having an operation, so can't be with her for the holidays. Now I have to scramble and come up with something else while getting ready for the hospital!
Answer: They charged me shipping on my order. (I no longer patronize them because they charge for shipping returns, even if the product is deficient.)
Answer: Beware of Lands End's current "free" shipping scam. We get emails almost daily from Lands End offering discounts on certain items or even any item they carry and the have also been offering "free" shipping. Of course almost every online shopping site is offering free shipping right now. The difference between all other sites/sellers free shipping is that they will either give it to UPS, FedEX, or the USPS and those people make the actual delivery to your door in a few days. I'm assuming it is an effort to save money Lands End "free" ships packages via UPS BUT only to your closest major postal facility and drops all the "free" shipments there. It is then up to the USPS to sort everything and deliver the package to your home. This can result in a delay of from several days to a week or more. Our latest purchase was dropped at the sorting facility on 12/5. From there it needed to be sorted and delivered to the mail facility that handles home mail deliveries. Bottom line is that we didn't get the delivery until 12/9. That is after leaving the Lands End warehouse on! 2/2. I get shipments from LL Bean or Amazon purchases delivered in 2-3 days. The response we got after questioning Lands End was that if we want deliveries in 2-3 days we would have to pay for shipping. Considering the delivery times I get from other sellers offering free shipping, I think Lands End is misleading customer's expectations of "free" shipping. Come on Lands End, I want that big brown truck to bring my packages to my front door and want it to be REALLY free or you have lost a long time customer.
Answer: I don;t know about knit pants but I have had the Starfish for a couple of years now and they don't become baggy--just a little but they bounce right back after washing. I was very happy with mine, went to get a new pair and ended up with a pair I cannot wear. Dismayed to find that returns are too complicated (expensive, too) so will be getting out the sewing machine to make them fit (they are huge in the thigh). I think the problem lies with having ordered Tall. The old pants are just Regular. Be careful about sizing!
Answer: Several years ago i ordered 5 bridesmaid dresses from LE. I had to send two back for a different size. The replacement dresses were a slightly different shade of the color. Then had to send all 5 dtesses back to get all same color. What a mess!
