Got an email for an item going on sale on KateSpade.com immediately went to web site and did a search the item was not there. I called customer service and they said oh the web site is down, which it was not. I called back and got another customer service person who said that is a popular item it is gone. Within 1 minute? Shame on you.
I wrote a review for JackSpade.com recently so I thought I should write one for KateSpade.com as well. After all, I actually did buy a buy from that site. I'm a sucker for simplicity, and after a long, drawn-out hunt for the perfect plain black Kate Spade handbag at local retailers, I settled on getting it directly from katespade.com. A step up from the Jack Spade website, Katespade.com offers views inside the bags, zooming ability, and details that are needed to make your decision. In the end, I was happy with my bag, it came promptly and with a cute cover bag to keep it clean and safe when I'm not using it.
I was gifted a beautiful bracelet and when it arrived in the post, it didn't fit my hand to put the bangle on. Contacted the customer services using the QR code that came with the gift in the box just to be told that there is no other size available for an exchange and also cannot change it for another item unless I have a proof of purchase. It's a thoughtful gift, I won't hurt my friend feeling by asking for a proof of purchase. Needless to say, the customer service wasn't either helpful or understanding about this. WILL NOT EVER RETURN to purchase anything for myself or a gift for a loved one.
I recently ordered the Chelsea Weekender Duffel, and the Chelsea weekender makeup bag. After receiving my order I was extremely upset to find I did not receive thew makeup bag. I emailed the company and they informed we they would be shipping me a new one. After about a week, because they told me they would ship it via fed-ex overnight, I emailed again informing them I still do not have the bag. They refused to send me the bag, or any item for exchange.
I was doing some early Christmas shopping and ordered a pair of earrings on November 27th. The shipping information I received said the item would arrive in 5-7 business days. As of today December 21st, I still have not received the item! I called the customer service and the Representative that I spoke to said that the item for some reason never left the facility. So you're telling me almost a month has passed and no one has shipped my item!? He processes a reshipment and asks if there is anything else that he can help with, all nonchalantly. I asked what about a refund, a partial refund at least! I ordered the item as a Christmas present and of course they will not arrive for Christmas. He stated that he could not give any type of refund since he reshipped the item. To me as a customer, if I pay you for your item and service then that's what I should receive. As a business, I expect you to stand on your word and provide that item and service that I paid for. They did not! Now I have a Christmas gift that's not here, and the Representative treated the situation like whatever.
I see that the customer service is phytic and very arrogant i had every been though.
I ordered a hand bag on a deal during thanksgiving which had 50% discount, just to see that they send me wrong item. When i asked customer care to send me actual item, they wouldn't respond properly and just disconnect/end the chat abruptly
Finally after few attempts they sent me return label to ship the wrong item, then after shipping the wrong item i sent, contacted back the customer care, and they wouldn't ship the item i order and just say that they were our of stock and will only be refunding the money for the i purchase i made. They dont even try to make it up for the mistake they have done. And just keep on saying that they would initiate refund.
I planned the item for a Christmas gift and they ruined it completely

I received a bag during a rainstorm with a ripped box. Contacted CS 5 times and they wont do a thing about it. They decided at one point to return my money but changed their mind.
Kate Spade ruined my girlfriend's birthday by canceling my order just 5 hours after I live chatted with Matthew, a representative who said that it would arrive by the time I needed it. Horrible. Then I get an email that they've canceled without explanation. And my credit card has still been charged. NEVER AGAIN! STAY AWAY!
I will be dusbuting with bank now I c why they don't accept returns but they can't do this I verified with bank there was no receipt and it's not even sterling it's junk costume jewelry total crap im allergic to copper cause I'm diabetic you would expect a designer to atleast send sterling wow what a rip off Kate junk can't believe in business
I love Kate Spade but after this last experience I'll find a new designer- Order a Tote waited 3 week never received it or heard back about the product. When I called they said they would cancel and reorder the item, unsure what happened and that I will receive it the next day or the day after. Later, that day I received an email stating the order was cancelled because inventory issues and they would give me a full refund (why didn't that just tell me it was out of stock when I called? IDK) a week later still no refund and when I called they said they still have "plenty of time" left to refund me.
The handle clip on a 7 month old kate spade bag broke (not the first KS product I've had that broke after a few months) and because I didn't want it replaced/refunded - I actually liked the bag before dealing with the company, the customer service department advised I should go to a repairer 1,500k from where I live to get it fixed. When I complained they then said of course they'd refund the cost - sadly I wasn't psychic and didn't know that when they first wrote to me. Also, given my experience with their customer service, I wouldn't trust I'd get the refund. Not repairing as I don't want to wear this bag and advertise KS
I ordered from katespade.com a pajamas and i didn't receive it on time. The dishonest customer service told me if you don't receive on certain date you can keep it and we will refund you. So I called them and they told me we will give you a credit within a month. After a month I called them that I didn't receive the credit yet and they told me wait another month. Basically I never receive the credit and I called the supervisor Mr. Will to follow up. He was very very unprofessional and told me we won't give your money back. It seems not only the customer service but also the manger is very dishonest and very unprofessional. Avoid shopping from katespade.com you will regret
Her sunglasses sell for $100 n mine broke after a week the ear peices are glued on total junk don't buy them they should have been screwed in not glued

Item shipped to wrong address. Spent four phone calls and one email attempting to speak to customer service. Never received a response. Item price was about $2000. It is now two weeks since purchase
I ordered my wife a limited collaboration bag from the Kate Spade website. The company shipped the wrong bag, not even close, then they let us know the bag I purchased was no longer in stock and that the bag they sent was $29 more expensive. They said that we could either be refunded the payment and we ship the wrong bag back to Kate Spade, or she could keep the bag we didn't choose but that they would have to charge my card the difference in payment of $29. It's ridiculous that keeping the bag only to be charged for THEIR MESS UP is even an option. If someone wants to keep a more expensive bag that they wrongly sent why would anyone even call. This is ridiculous. A company of that size should have first contacted me and notified that bag was out of stock not sent some random bag and even if they didn't; they should be calling it a wash and as an apology, comp the difference and call it even if she were to keep it. Absolutely absurd. Horrible customer service. Never again ordering from their website. Sorry for the improper punctuation.
Needed a small bag to take on a trip out of town. Ordered a crossbody and after 12 days item hadn't shipped. Customer service said item was back ordered and available to ship the next day. 3 days later order still showed pending and website now showed it as a preorder and not available to ship for 4 more days! I canceled and bought a Michael Kors bag from Macy's same day.

I am very disappointed I purchase 3 items they were returned and I was told that as soon as items were received that with in 7 -10 days I would recieve my refund on 9/15
I called to inquire about my refund and I was told that it's still being processed that is unacceptable that means I have to wait another 7-10 for my money to be returned to my account its not the amount of day's. It takes between 20-25 before your refund is recieved. The product and packaging is beautiful but it's unacceptable the wait for your funds. I would think about it twice before you purchace something and it has to be returned. Im So disappointed don't think I will be purchasing anything from Kate spade. If I'm going to go through these headaches
Answer: Good luck with that! Once they make a sale that's it. Good luck getting in touch with a person. The brick and mortar store maybe easier to deal with, but the website is the worst. Don't do business with these guys online
