I recently purchased 3 summer t-shirts. Great colors & fit. However, after about 3 washes they have developed holes at my waist band. I have had this happen with less expensive t-shirts (seems to be because of inferior cotton) Not ok!
Also purchased one of the sweater long jackets - love the style & color. However it is piling way too much for what I paid. Some great styles, but the fabric quality is not good!
Purchased 2 ladies flannel on sale, they were about $20 each after paying shipping. These shirts are NOT anywhere near flannel. They are a cotton "wanna be" flannel. They were final sale or I would have returned them immediately. If you are looking for a cotton shirt made to look flannel this is the shirt for you. I purchased flannel on Amazon for the same price and they were real flannel. I'm very disappointed in J Crew and will stick with LL Bean for my future purchases.
Wow what poor customer service. I sent some returns from an online order 7 days before they were due and they apparently got there 2 days late and J Crew customer service refuses to issue a refund. So many emails back and forth and not a single helpful response. Will never shop with them again.
TERRIBLE company in customer service. I wish there is zero or minus rating. I hope the company stops this non-sense policy of "final sale". All other big retailers do not have this policy. The store manager was very rude and refused to return a defective merchandise that worth $24. I hope this $24 will save the company from its financial trouble. Shame on them. I have been a customer for almost 15 years.
I ordered a dress online for a birthday party I was to attend. I expedited shipping to ensure it arrived in time for the event. The delivery date was approaching and I noticed that the status of my order was still processing. I call customer service and was given an explanation that my order would ship from a local store and would arrive on the expected delivery date. The day after the item was supposed to be delivered, I got a cancellation email. According to their own tracking system, there was no way I was going to get it delivered on time. Customer service rep clearly misinformed me. I won't be shopping at J Crew anymore, not worth the aggravation.
J. Crew used to be a mainstay in American goods, gorgeous streamlined wearables now are a bit shoddy and cheap. Again, companies outsourcing to factories where the 'fast fashion' churn out is effecting quality and thereby met with sizing issues and cheaper materials and low quality garments. Some basics are still ok, it's hit and miss. Online the customer service is pretty much non-existent. Wait for sales of certain products, coupon codes and such, if you are a fan of the J. Crew brand.
I've ordered shoes and boots from them and they've arrived thoughtfully packaged, it's a gift to unwrap them! The clothing is well designed and beautifully made, I'm so glad to have discovered JCrew!
Went to pick up a package at Rockefeller Center location. Kept waiting, they couldn't find it. They offered a gift card for the inconvenience. Kept waiting, they couldn't do it. Complete waste of time, and they couldn't care less. Shop somewhere else...
Ugh J. C. do you hate women? I can call you J. C. As we have known each other for over 20 years. You were the place to shop for cool weddings and warm wool coats and beautiful suits. But now look at you, you traded quality for quantity. A lot of ill fitting, poorly made pieces. I can order the same style of pants in 3 colors and none will fit the same. You make dresses and shirts and jeans that could not possibly be made to fit the human form. You should have stayed in your lane. You were better than that at one time. I'm sorry but I just can't anymore. Goodbye.
To be honest I only shop the sale section of their website. They have had some issues with sizing and quality over the past few years but I am very happy with the items I buy on sale. I love the reviews on their site and never buy with out reading them. Shipping is not super fast but still acceptable. I don't have a store in my area to return items but never have any problem returning via mail.
I just wanted to give a shout out to J-Crew Suiting - particularly the Ludlow line. Incredibly quality at fair prices. Really so pleased with several suits I've purchased. Excellent customer service as well!
I always call my order in as it's easier than on-line ordering. The operators are helpful, polite and make ordering very easy. They also send special offers to your e-mail. Their products are well made and last a long time.
J. Crew offers some of the most valuable designs and make in clothing. Customer service is always available to assist. Professional Courteous knowledgeable ground and air services have been met by order fulfillment. Great tool is you can track and monitor delivery truck real time from VA to Watermill Great condition Ups ground reliable and professional right to your front door or any access point requested
I ordered something 7 days ago. There is no information available on the status of my order. When I check online it just says "open." When I email the person J Crew says to email re orders I get no response. I have been on hold with the 800 number for 30 minutes so far. I find it hard to understand why a well established company cannot handle the basics of customer service. I would cancel my order--but, naturally, there is no way to do this online, by phone, or by email. I'll never order from J Crew again.
I ordered a T-shirt with three buttons on the front on 1/30/20. Since then, I've worn it about 8 times. Two of the three buttons have cracked into pieces and fallen off recently when I was simply fastening them. Clearly the buttons are of very poor quality. I wrote to J Crew - and they responded that since it's been more than 30 days since the purchase, they aren't responsible. Really? If buttons were to break into pieces after 31 days, J Crew considers that acceptable? Sad, as J Crew used to be a respectable company.
I have had multiple issues with J Crew items. I ordered several of their T shirts and after just a couple of wears (gentle wash & hang dry) the shirts all got little holes all along the lower half. I ordered my mother a sweater and it was such a poor quality I took it back to the store and was told I had to return via postal service. I was charged $7.50 in shipping and then I still didn't get my money back. They sent me a "credit". J Crew is $#*!! You will be sorry if you purchase from them. One tip... if you do buy from them don't do it on line.
What a disappointment. Worst customer service! J. Crew is so extremely disorganized. They did not get the items I ordered to me. I do spent a lot of time over email and on the phone trying to correct the problem. In the end, I gave them my money and have no clothes and no refund to show for it. And not a single person in that company cared or had the brains to make it right.
Really great place to buy designer clothes, items arrived pretty quickly and in perfect condition! There's a lot to choose from on the site and the shopping process is smooth and enjoyable, would recommend :)
I am obsessed with J. Crew. Their retail experience is top notch, and I love how you can order items (for free shipping) online while you're in the store. Their site is easy to navigate and I absolutely love all the pictures. I also love when they do anything that curates looks, as the way they style clothing is unreal.
Since it is pandemic the only way to shop is online. Ordered a few items - i live in the UK so the shipping took 2 weeks. Somehow other companies manage to do way shorter times even when shipping from different continents. I kept few items and wanted to return the ones that doesnt fit. No labels or easy returns process that we are used to here in the UK with many other brands and online shopping platforms. Emailed the address given - the person responds once a day (at night as i assume they are based in the US). Supper slow and not responsive, taking days for a simple thing like sending me instructions (labels that you need to print yourself! And that costs £35! - have they heard of the modern technology? QR codes or at least shipping labels included? Who prints these days!?
Such an old way of doing business, not easy and frictionless and no where on par with the rest of the industry. I definitely will not shop again at j crew, too much hassle! And lets see if i get a refund!
Placed a $641 order and had it confirmed 12/7/2018, along with the prices. Then got an email on 12/10 saying there were still items in my shopping bag, and at MUCH higher prices! Couldn't email from work. Called, was on hold with inane music for 50 minutes, and no notification as to how long the wait would be. "Savannah" finally answered and said the second email was a "mistake", to ignore it. When I spend good money I expect better service. Never again, J Crew!
Answer: Easy Customer service is very helpful resolving any situation or questions
