The support services that I have received have been wonderful. The technicians are courteous and stick with the job until it is finished. I like the streamlined access passage where you do not have to re-tell your issue to several people before actually getting to the technician. You're immediately connected through Live Chat and the service begins right away!
IYogi has been a pleasant experience. They have saved me from frustration time and time again with their knowledge of computer problems. Freeze-ups and lost information are restored quickly and will save you from losing hope many times when the matter is resolved. IYogi techs will give you their best effort with friendly and thoughtful manners. IYogi is most efficient with new users of the computer struggling to make sense of it all.
I have had several encounters with iyogi. Some have been a bit challenging, and others very helpful. It seems that there are differing levels of competency with the people who answer the phone. I have learned to ask for someone more experienced when the person I am speaking with is unable to fix my problem.
Overall, I have been satisfied with their service.
If you have a hearing problem, it can be difficult to work with them.
So far, I have had all of my problems resolved.
My experiences have always been positive no matter the reason for the contact. I found the technicians to be knowledgeable, easy to communicate with and courteous. They always corrected my problem in a very expeditious manner and kept me informed as the corrections were being made.
I have had iyogi for several years and they are a very inconsistent outfit at best. The level of service ranges from complete novice to someone who knows how to get around a computer just enough to get the simple things done or create more issues. With that said, they're mostly interested in selling the customer on new tech and warranties at twice the price one would be able to purchase on ones own. The techs and the "account managers" are very, very pushy clearly not wanting to listen to the issues at hand with your computer unless they sell something to you first. My last go around with them they would not get to the service until I purchased items from them and was not able to reactivate my "iYogi docs" (an assist on the computer) to get them to provide assistance in fixing the issues with my computer. The frustration in dealing with them outweighs any positives in having this service.
Hi, I used iYogi because my virus program was not installing. When I called the number for Mcafee I got iYogi. I paid the $169.00 fee for a year, unlimited problems. They were on my computer 3 times and could not fix the problem. I asked for a refund. They tried to talk me out of it but I wanted a refund. They refunded $110.00 of the $169.00. Charged me $59.00 for the service. I am going to try to get this back. Have any suggestions? Josephine
I keep receiving calls from iYogi every day saying they will refund my money, but I have to go www.teamviewer.com/en to get my money back. I refused to go to their site and I said to them if you are going to refund my money, just refund my money, you have my address and phone # and just do it, and they hung up the phone on me.
After numerous problems with their service including trying to sell me unnecessary software and hardware, I uninstalled their software. Since then I've received an increasing number of phone solicitations from a call center asking for access to my computer. Currently I receive 3-4 calls every day from unknown numbers, no caller ID, numbers missing a digit, and Dummy numbers from all over the United States. No matter how many times I ask them to stop, the calls only increase in frequency. Last week someone from iYogi gave me the email address *******@iyogi.com with instructions on how to cancel my membership. My email bounced back as undeliverable. Today, their representative asked me to pay them $100 to have my name removed from their systems. He said five of their technicians would be assigned to the task and it would take them less than eight hours. How do we stop this harassment?
This guy who claimed to be Frank Walker said he was from Windows and wanted to give me a $199 refund for services that they had provided in the past. He proceeded to tell me that I would get the refund if I downloaded Team Viewer, which started to do. Then I became skeptical as I remembered this No Caller ID number calling over and over and over. When I told him that I did not want Team Viewer, he told me that he has access to my computer and will block it and that it could never be used again. At that point I was so angry I told him that I was going to call the people at windows and report him. Actually 0 stars, this company is rude and it is a telemarketing scam!
I have been a customer of Iyogi for a number of years. They always tryed to sell something, however, they used to be VERY good at fixing problems. Something happened and they stopped being reliable. They called again today, but when I said I still had a contract with them, the call ended with a promise of a call back. I dont trust them anylonger.
Between my husband and myself we spent 10 hours in front on the computer in one day. BEWARE! Don't waste your time. We went 5 full days without internet access or removal of our viruses. 3 return phone calls with an appointment also to no avail. This is a rip off. Also be informed that is you have Shield Deluxe, change your antivirus software. This is the company that recommends iyogi.
Why haven't you refunded my money yet? It's been over 2 months... too many lawsuits? What hope, if any, is there on getting resolution to the myriad of issues with this company? Is the U.S. Attorney General taking any action to shut down this money thieving sorry excuse for tech service? This is will be my third web site filing a complaint and the next step is filing with my state's AG. I can't believe they STILL post a Better Business Bureau accreditation symbol on their web site. Talk about FALSE advertising!
This company is a disgrace. I have been trying for 6 months to obtain a partial refund due to cancelling my membership with them. So far no luck. Im just fobbed off all the time and lied to. Please don't touch them.
Wasted money. Takes forever (IF then) to understand and find the problem. They do lie about things you need to buy and on tighter questioning it becomes clear. Don't fall for this company's claims. They may have started out as a legitimate and efficient company, but something changed and they have caused me more problems than I had to begin with. I want to delete their programs (including the MCAfee virus program they sold me) but I'm AFRAID there may be some code in there that will create a huge problem. I am already getting blackouts and just today had a fatal error, but I just restarted it and it is now okay. Then I ran my Cleaner that came on my computer and hopefully that will keep me going for now.
Not being a computer geek, I have found iYogi to be invaluable in maintaining and keeping my computer running at maximum efficiency. They are easily available online or by phone at my convenience. Though they are based in India, language has not been a problem since most of the communication is online and not subject to accent. Pricing seems reasonable, and there are no hidden charges.
My only complaint, the reason for 4 rather that 5 stars, is that they often try to sell additional services during service calls. They are by no means insistent, but I personally find it aggravating.
LIke many others, I thought I was talking to HP luckily figured it out. My bank gave me back my money. Sold me an extended warranty. According to the REAL HP, there was no record of me buying a warranty. If I had been duped and let them touch my computer, it would have invalidated my warranty. You guys SUCK posing as HP! See other reviews where they pose as Apple, etc. F. U. IYogi.
Iyogi is going down the drain very quickly. It is a sinking ship...
In 2014 and 2015 they failed to pay there employees on times resulting in departure of there support and sales staff. As of January 1st 2016 most employees have not been paid for last 2 -3 months so employees are refusing to login or not coming to work at all.
As a result iYogi is forcing there trainers and sales staff to take tech support calls now and you wonder why support sucks. These people have no experience in tech support so they are doing best they can with no training.
I would be highly surprised if this company survives 2 months from now.
Save your money and looks for alternate solution.
PS. I know all this because I know someone who works there.
IYogi says it will help remotely solve PC problems, and charges $139/month. I had to try 3 times (with 3 different people) to get their remote access to work. Then 1.5 hours of my time later, and speaking with 4 different people (each of whom needed my account #, security question, email address and home ph#), the problem was still unresolved. And it was just a printer issue. Plus I got disconnected during one of the calls, and the technician did not call back--despite having confirmed my email and phone # at the start of the call.
Iyogi is a total fraud. They will lie to you, suppress fact and will never tell before that they are not at all connected to apple. They could not solve my problem and was just about to erase all my data. It was fixed in 2 minutes the day after by our department technician. They sold me a hard disk in $155.99 which is actually $68.00 in amazon. Be aware and stay away from this.
It is helpful to have techs that can be called up at a moment's notice to fix what's ailing your computer. They kept my old Dell in pretty good shape for several years until I bought a new Dell a week ago. But they do more than just fix. Not being a whiz on computer, if I need to do something that I'm not sure how to accomplish, they are there to help in that regard as well. They are very helpful and courteous too.
Answer: Oh, please, how many people are you willing to let "piggyback" on your lawsuit? I'm so fed up with scammers/shoddy services from companies. IYogi played a good game in the beginning but now it is in the proverbial toilet.
