The sole reason I bought an iPhone many generations ago was becasue of itunes functionality, now the only reason I'd consider an alternative would be because I've transitioned off itunes, I haven't made the break yet but I'm close. Everytime I sign in to itunes my library reverts to an old destination, I follow the apple "fix" but it doesn't stick, I've spent hours rebuilding this evening but know it will be temprorary, It would be faster if the "find other files" ever actually found anything else even in the same sub-folder - I don't know why they even offer the function - it never works, Two examples of a once good product now clearly managed by the D team. Sad really that apple clearly no longer care.
What else would you call it? I write classical music and do a number of other audio related work. ITunes is constantly popping up as a built-in facet of a Mac. They got rid of iMovie and made it impossible to get, also making it cost money. Yet they keep iTunes around like the spammy Nigerian scam repeatedly stuffing your computer with noise and getting in the way of real work. If I could I would delete iTunes- still working on how to do that.
Signed up to iTunes when I got my IPhone, bought music and other things.
Got e-mail the other day th as the I have to respond within 24hrs otherwise your account will be deleted. I don't check my emails everyday. Lost everything. Can't be retrieved.
When I redeem movies on VUDU the process is easy and flawless. The movies are immediately available and stream without issue. Apple and Itunes are impossible. The movies are seen and then disappear. They work and then do not work. Customer service is a joke. I have stopped buying movies.
I was Itunes biggest fan. Then the price increased. Then came "The Cloud"... I lost all my music that I copied from CDs I purchased when I let my cloud subscription expire. When I renewed it, they couldn't locate my music... All those years of music gone. I don't have the CDs anymore to download them. There are great alternatives: Spotify. Pandora. And others where you pay a minimum monthly fee and you have access to all the music you want. The catch is - watch your data on your cell phone when streaming music!
I have a large library,,,,, updated and lost 90 percent of my downloaded music,,, Apple Was trying to make dumb people pay for a service,,, iCloud,, that should be free,,,,,, you own your music,,, iTunes only holds your digital license,,,,, that is the iCloud in a nut shell, it was free before and now it is a service,,,, pay radio, pay t. V, pay for a service that has been free since iTunes started what a stupid way to boost stocks,,,, my suggestion is use other services and stop buying on iTunes.!
I can't believe how annoying and limited Itunes is. I got a new iPhone and as my Macbook was broken, I connected it with my boyfriends iTunes to put on some music. Now that I have a new Macbook, I can't connect the new iTunes with my phone because it's already connected to my boyfriends profile. Why? This is pointless, there are a couple workarounds, but as I'm not very computer savvy; I had no other option than to reset my phone. I HATE doing that. No fun iTunes! Make uploading music to devices easier. I'd love some easy drag&drop for a change, I don't really care about Playlists, buying music there, and whatever...
If you don't have Apple products, itunes will take your money and make you pay even if they offer 3 free months! AVOID AVOID AVOID if you don't have anything Mac! They offered 3 free months, and did not deliver!
It's a great app to use to listen to your musical content but it has its down. One being that you can't watch the lyrics while listening to a song even though you used to be able to do so in Window Media Player and it was a nice plus. I would also be cool to add some music videos and such to make it more "spicy". It plays my songs great, but the updates happen way too often and I hate having to restart my computer every time. It's worth the use.
Normally, I am quite satisfied with iTunes... but recently the site has been buggy. And I have a $75 gift card attached to my account... but I can't download anything... Their customer service is basically nonexistent. Also, if you download an album and hate it, I believe you should be able to return it. Audible.com lets you return virtual books, so why can't you return music files?
No matter what music you like you can find it on iTunes. I have really varied tastes but iTunes fits the bill. I get classical, blues, rock, alternative - whatever I want on iTunes. They generally have even hard to find albums and songs that were not available anywhere else. You can't go wrong with iTunes.
In fact that's true. It's not difficult to utilize and its extraordinary, iTunes is more than 11 years of age, and the dispatch of adaptation 11 today demonstrates that much has changed since 2001 – yet much has not. It has now got a quite enhanced new look, however under the cap, iTunes is still the same commonplace and highly acknowledged programming
I love iTunes and Apple for so many reasons. It is like a musical heaven for me. But I do have one small annoying complaint. I can't figure this out but for some reason I ended up with two accounts so now when I download it can be confusing. Especially with software updates. I think I need to figure out how to combine my accounts but despite this small problem I'm still happy to give iTunes 5 stars.
Love iTunes. Pros the list of music is great. My only con is if you have songs by different performers they are all in a row and I can't. Move them to different arrangement and the editing the list is not easy for me.
Last week, I ordered an app for my daughter's tablet, as it is her main outlet of fun being special needs. Well, for some reason I was charged and it wouldn't download correctly. SO I went to Apple Store a while's away. I brought tablet and daughter in tow, and showed them the situation involved. Thankfully I had backed up device to save things as I had to completely restore it and check if it would download. Well, after some time, it wouldn't. My child impatient and hungry, I was getting anxious. The kind Genius Bar staff, replaced the tablet, THEN downloaded the app for me for her to play and gave me some credit on my iTunes account for inconvenience. I almost cried in happiness. They followed my model of give something that won't cost anything to the company, but will go miles in returns. Thank you Apple.
Cons:
Non-competitive pricing of ebooks and audiobooks
Full catalogue of media is not available to Canadian consumers
Too many individual apps on mobile and media devices such as iPhone and iPod (the store and each media type requires a different app to use).
Pros:
Excellent quality media
Music can be converted to mp3 format and works well on non-Apple products such as simple mp3 players
Exclusive content
Reasonable pricing on movies, shows and music
Easy redemption process for many BluRay movies that come with digital copies
I am an adamant apple user, but I don't like that app continually forces you to use apple music and it is frustrating that it also restricts the import of music from other sources. I buy occasionally from iTunes, but some of my old music does not have a source.
Too limiting!
Not the cheapest but very reliable and secure, in my experience. ITunes continues to evolve. They need to leap a generation ahead, and for that I wish they would not hold back. They do too many incremental updates and upgrades. * Also they need to offer a lossless audio version for their music.
I have hooked uo with iTunes for over nine years. On two occasions downloads got lost in the shuffle,. It took a while to get things right. They have always had a decent selection. I like Southern Gospel.- a bit thin. All in all iTunes has been my go to source for music.
I've received some erroneous charges and they are always credited immediately. Customer service even personally emails you so you have a contact. Very thorough. If you want to purchase a subscription do it thru iTunes. Because if you ever want to cancel some of these companies are overseas and want you to write them to cancel. While they keep billing! Took it to iTunes and boom! It was cancelled immediately!
Answer: If you only have PC/Android devices, they will take your money and not honor any specials/deals!
Answer: Forget iTunes. Google free mp3 and tons of sites come up. Be careful though, lots of phishing with those. Do NOT download software. It's not necessary and if the site says you need it, get out. Another easy way is google convert youtube to mp3, find your song on youtube, most are there, and use any number of sites to convert the audio to mp3 versions. Downloading BTW is legal. UPLoading copyright protected stuff is not. But many of these sites are not in the USA and our laws don't apply.
iTunes has a rating of 2.9 stars from 257 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with iTunes most frequently mention and apple product. iTunes ranks 2nd among Downloads sites.
