I placed an order with this company, to receive a message the following day that I had to pay an additional £17 in taxes and handling. I contacted the company who told me that it wasn't down to them but the courier company but they do state this in their terms and conditions. SO AFTER READING THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS I HAVE FOUND NOTHING TO SUPPORT THIS.
Don't buy from this company and beware they will not refund.
I ordered products for my brother and received email that order was placed and an expected delivery date. A few weeks later my brother called asking when will items arrive. I went in my old email and found order to reach out to company. I tried calling to no avail and finally got thru chat. They told me my order was cancelled ( by them) because they needed a bank code of some sort authorizing transaction, no not the 3 digits on back of card. I'm assuming this was because I was shipping to a diff address. They told me to submit this info thru the acct I set up on their site. I went to site and was locked out! I got thru on phone by repeatedly calling. Lady said someone will call you. Someone called and seemed concerned said she'd look into it. I told her I couldn't get into acct to give them info they requested, bty No other on line transaction ever asked for this. So I was treated like a criminal for trying to use my own credit card. Needless to say they NEVER resolved issue. So I went to another vitamin company. I used A1 Supplements for my brother's order. I also use Vitacost and Lucky. No problems there!
I have ordered four packages of Kroeger Herb Co, Wormwood Kit, 5 Piece Kit through the iHerb.com.
When the parcel has arrived one of the boxes was open and two of the five items in the box were missing. The parcel arrived with DHL and there was no marks that parcel has been opened in any way by the customs officers.
The iHerb customer service has told me that they will just make refund and that their policy is not to ship again a correct item for exchange of the faulty one.
The price was really good and saving would be great if I got all 4 boxes intact. I think that it was done on purpose. The half empty box was rattling a lot and it is impossible that whoever packed it didn't noticed that hence my conclusion that it was done on purpose.
Someone obviously didn't like the idea of giving away products on such a great discount. If it wasn't so they would ship again the correct item. It was better for them financially to give me a refund - this is, of course, my personal opinion.
If the iHerb didn't want to give discount they shouldn't advertised it on the first place
I don't have to mention that all this has greatly upset and inconvenienced me as I need 4 boxes for my family.
I have been ordering from iherb for at least 8 years now and this is the worst it has been so far. A few years ago there was a problem with restrictions being placed on certain products into Korea and my packages were held at customs for days. Many phone calls later they finally released the orders. I was never notified when ordering that there were any restrictions and it wasn't written anywhere on their website. Finally started seeing them add which items were restricted. Probably after many complaints. Now the problem is packaging/shipping. Each month it takes longer for them to pack and ship my order. Initially I would order Sunday night and have my package here by Friday. Then it was the following week on Monday or Tuesday and now (my most recent order) wasn't packed until Thursday (I ordered on Saturday). Customer service gave generic apology and said it would be here by next week. Problem is next MTW are holidays here and I won't get my package until Thurs/Fri.
To say the least I'm irate and am looking for alternative ways to get my supplements! Hello Coupang!

BEWARE when ordering from this site. It is a super user friendly site (AND THIS IS THE POINT) just choose your country flag and start shopping. The prices are automatically switched to your local currency but what they do not tell you, is that the products are shipped from the US and you are liable to pay the import tax. In my case, ordering from France, cost me 57.42 + 7.36 for DHL delivery and an extra 28 in taxes which I was ordered to pay before they would give me my parcel. This amounts to 50% of the price of the articles I ordered.
When I informed IHERB they told me there was nothing they could do and it would cost 40 to have my packaged returned and they would only reimburse the difference (57.42 less the 40) if I returned them. No commercial gesture whatsoever. Couldn't care less.
Therefore, I would recommend that you enquire about import tax before ordering from this site as it is NOT CLEARLY stipulated when you order. You don't even know the articles are shipped from the states. I have ordered from other US websites and they clearly state that there will be import taxes.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has had this experience.
I ordered something from them on Sep 12th and according to them and Fedex the stuff was delivered on 23 Sep. I live in London (UK) and have always received all my US parcels - this one never reached me and iherb staff was unhelpful and refused to refund USD50! STAY AWAY!
I used to order things on iherb before and never had problems. But this time. Holly s... So I was supposed to get my parcel 2 weeks ago. I waited patiently and would wait a bit longer maybe, if i wasnt leaving the country for a business trip. First of all email responses were super slow, i get response the next day not within even few hrs,. Which wastes my time (not counting that i waited for 14 extra days for delivery so far). Second, I contacted their customer service online and all the time answers were sample texts, which made me think they are bots, i asked couple questions to check if they were real people, but no. They are bots. So they will never actually care about each single case individually. Third they said the problem was with the carrier, but they never called a carrier, they emailed and just waited to carrier to respond them via email. When I asked for contact details of manager, they said they cant help me with this either. Also they dont refund the money unless they get the order back to their warehouse. So now, i didnt get my goods, and nobodys even trying to refund my money, even tho all of this was their mistake, its not me who didnt take care of the order, its not me who lost the parcel and its not me who didnt make my job well. But its me who wasted my time and money. Iherb is not as good as before. Choose other site, same products and prices tho
It used to be a good and decent company. Now, they changed owners, and they simply don't care about costumers. I ordered some items and had problems so i sent them back, but iHerb doesn't want them back and they literraly responded me that they are not accepting the package back and WILL NOT REFUND ME. WORST COMPANY, STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
Told I now had empty Cartl and added the two I wanted and had whopper bill for the errors I had while trying to order just 2 things, all with different code numbers. I gave up. Too hard.
Never ordered from them, Never Received Any product from them, but my CC was charged 3 separate times. They had my CC# so I had to file a fraud claim to have the card canceled and replaced. ($#@!)
After buying two lots of herbs at £10 each, already paying £8 for delivery then told to pay an extra £16 by customs the item became so expensive. I was told by their courrier on a web chat if I no longer wanted to pay then customs they would be returned free of charge so I agreed to do that. Nievely not knowing Iherb were charging me £30 for delivery. When Iherb told me there would be a charge I messaged them and contacted their courrier saying I would keep the herbs and pay the duties. The herbs were at my local depot 10 minutes away but Iherb for some reason then contacted them asking them to be returned to US. Now I have no herbs even though I paid for them. And Iherb are taking no responsibility over their part in this problem. With a web address of uk.iherb.com I did not realise nor feel the need to further look into seen if they were not based in the uk. For a big companie like Iherb I think a little customer service on this issue would have gone a long way! The value is not a big loss but I am upset at how things have not been resolved.

Bought a product worth 650 rs... had to give another 650 for shipping and 1242rs for customs... so product is 650... and shipping cost is 1892... never ever buy from this site!. Huge loss
I ordered Kettle Chips at the beginning of October 2017. They sent me chips along with the other items in a very large box where all the items ordered had substantial room to move around. The chips arrived with an expiration date of 9/30/2017, almost 2 weeks out of date. I contacted them and they said they would send me a replacement. After 10 days, I receive the replacement, also with the same date of 9/30/2017. I sent them pictures the first and second time. When I sent them pictures of the replacement, they asked for pictures of the first bag's barcode and the second bag's barcode. It was like they were saying I was making it up. Really? I have been a customer of theirs since almost the first year they have been in business and they treated me like I was scamming them out of $4.65. Then they blocked me (yes blocked me) from placing a review on their site. If this order had gone through Amazon, then Amazon would have shut down their store with them. YOU NEVER SEND OUTDATED PRODUCTS. Their shipping department totally is without care to the products they ship out. I have also had items arrive broken with product all inside the box and covering the other products ordered. Then they tell me that when I need to order that same product (the one broken) that I have to contact them first before I place the order. Why? I am done with them, and as soon as I find somewhere else to order, I am closing out my account.
I have used Iherb for a long time, and from now on, I will never be using them again.
My problem was not about paying taxes, it was the fact that now DHL is holding my package and won't let me process it with our country's custom office without paying DHL, the COURIER company 20 euros. When I thought I already paid for shipping and all I need to pay extra is the duties and taxes which I handle with our country's custom. That is ridiculous!
When I contacted Iherb about it, they keep on sending me some absolute worthless answers that included "I'm sorry you were not aware of your country's tax and duty payments". Then I answered to them that yes I do know them and am completely aware, I have a problem with the courier company forcing me to pay extra to DHL so I can process my own damn package with our country's official customs myself.
I will never purchase anything from them again or DHL. Luckily, we consumers can always show our opinions with our decisions on where we buy products. Yugh what a company.
This is not a real company. I never received my product! This is a scam! Do not order from them! I am trying to find a way to report them for scamming folks!

Ordered the item on the 10th, states that expected delivery is on the 17, i received no updates, NOTHING, i emailed them on the 18 asking what happened to my order and they said "we are showing that it was canceled due to payment is not completed within the valid time period. Our Verification Team needed additional information and since it was not provided within a timely manner the order was cancelled"
I told them that they COULD HAVE TOLD ME INSTEAD OF ME, instead of waiting me wait and asking where is my order and the customer service replied back and said "Please be informed that we've sent you the confirmation via email regarding the cancellation of your order. Kindly check if the confirmation rerouted to your spam or junk folder." what nonsense, i did not receive any email about cancelling my order

Answer: Yes you will be charged extra, they dont make it clear when you place an order, but I was asked to pay an extra £15 sterling before they would deliver my goods to my home, so I refused and am waiting a refund of my order which they now tell me will take up to 6 months, not a good company to deal with, buy from home if I were you, I will not purchase from america again.
