Hulu's reputation is marked by a diverse content library and the appeal of timely access to popular TV shows and movies, which many customers appreciate. However, significant concerns have emerged regarding technical performance, including frequent buffering, app freezes, and navigation difficulties, leading to frustration among users. Additionally, issues with customer service, such as unresponsive support and billing discrepancies, have been highlighted. The overall sentiment indicates that while Hulu offers valuable content, persistent operational problems and a growing dissatisfaction with ad frequency may push customers toward alternative streaming services.

I have never had so many random issues with any site, like I have hulu. Seriously, the ads are the most annoying of all, but not just the ads bother me. I will legit sign on, correct gmail and password and it will pop up like it signed on (My boyfriends name and mine pop up) but as soon as it pops up and I click on a name, BAM! The screen goes back to the log in. I had this issue before and had to have hulu fix the issue. All of a sudden its happening again and again. I am done. I had Netflix before Hulu and never had any problems at all. I was very dissappointed and surely Hulu needs to get rid of their ads and fix their issues, or we are all just gonna run back to Netflix... smh
Heard that Hulu finally gave a channel grid interface, so I went back to them. Big mistake, all they did was change their all network' view from thumbnails to a list. This is NOT a channel guide! I wish Philo would get Fox News, So I can say goodbye to the likes of Hulu and the other streaming services, which (truth be told) are no better than the cable companies. Until then I'll be looking to replace Hulu for the final time.
Tried to watch the movie "Vacation," which is an hour and a half long, but there were so many commercials, it's 2 1/2 hours long on Hulu (the limited commercial plan). Seriously?! There's a commercial break like every 5 minutes. I just counted 19 commercials during the last break. I gave up trying to watch the movie. Going to cancel Hulu... not worth $45 a month. Ridiculous.
Don't ever pay for Hulu tv it's such a joke. Even when u dvr something they won't let u fwd so stupid and their channel lineup sucks. And streaming sucks. Their TV guide is absolutely so stupid. PlayStation vue is **************% better. Hulu tv sucks sooooooo bad don't do it
Always buffering! In the middle of every movie a dozen times til I finally turn the $#*! off. If netflix can stream at the same cost without buffering more time than the movie plays then you shouldn't be a entertainment service. Waste of money. Thanks you Hulu $#*!s
Its absolutely madding to try to watch a football game on Hulu live. Its constantly rebuffing and missing plays.
The last 6 months, probably the last year, of using Hulu has been the worst service I have received in 5 years. Constant buffering, the steps to trouble shoot on the hulu site are incorrect or incomplete, not to mention their page to actually contact them is always down, most likely intentional so people cannot contact them and complain. There is no where on the site that i can find to report streaming issues, there should be a link on every single video to report issues, but no. Hulu does not care about its customers, clearly. The issue is not my internet, it is not the device I am using (because i have streaming issues on every device i attempt to watch hulu on). At the moment I am looking for other ways to view the shows I like on hulu because i am wasting my money on this application.
Overall has some pretty good content, For what its worth I'd say its on par with netflix, just depends what shows you want.
Other bigger companies can probably shell out more for some big titles but hulu does a decent job keeping up
The redesigned UI is much harder to navigate than the older one. Movie covers are way too large and the layout isn't intuitive.
I've had HULU Commercial free $11.99 mo. The only thing I've had a problem with is connecting with my smart tv. Have to run through trouble shooting to get hulu to connect sometimes, otherwise no problems with streaming. I would recommend it.
My number one issue with Hulu is a reoccurring issue I have with my account. When this issue happens, I try to watch an episode of a TV series, but a screen pops up that states that Hulu is being streamed on too many devices. However, there is no one else watching Hulu when this happens. I know this, because I visited Hulu.com/devices and removed every single device except for the one I was using the first time it happened. It still didn't work.
I keep it for certain shows I can't do without, but hulu needs to hire competent people that can build a basic friggin' interface. Get on it already! You suck Hulu! You're ripping us all off making us use that backwards bs and you know it. Man tf up.
I haven had hulu for about 1 month. Enjoyed some shows. But in the last week I can't watch certain shows that I was able to watch. When I contacted them they said its like an "old cell phone when you can download certain apps". Well why could I watch the show yesterday on my tv and not today. They are not helpful at all.
Hulu is a dumpter fire, a black hole of corporate short cuts, where entertainment goes to die. First and the most annoying is the commercials. How they can justify a pay for streaming service WITH commercials is criminal. But what's worse is the commercials repeat ad nauseam. The content of the commerical are somehow worse, completely wrong demographic, obviously manipulative, and just all around bad. Hulu's commercials actively makes me want to boycott anything advertised. Their original programming (save handmaidens tale) is awful; just shallow bs. All flash no substance. They might as well be bravo. The interface is janky, making it hard to navigate to or keep queued up programing I actually like. Instead it forces feeds you pop bs you never asked for, just like the iTunes home page. Hulu truly exemplifies a bad service. They took all the mistakes made by network TV over the last 18 yrs and applies them to a streaming service. Let's put it this way, if netflix is a flying car, hulu is a 96 Ford Taurus with rocket engines painted on the side and cardboard wings. Case and point, hulu disabled their feedback page, probably because they couldn't handle the negative back. Please hulu just stop being so horrendously bad.
I spoke to Brandon about an issue I was having and he went above and beyond to help me. I seriously haven't had such amazing customer service in a long time. I am a happy customer
Customer!
Light commercial is a big lie! In 50 min episode they showed like 3 times 90 second commercial! Is that light? Big lie. Also they dont have a lot of movies and serries we were interested
I wanted to write a review about Hulu, I really wanted but I couldn't, and I still can't. I'm sorry, but I'm not from the USA so I'm not allowed to witness the magnificency the service that Hulu has to offer. And since the internet is becoming more user-unfriendly by the day, due to policies, limitations and other stuff, I decided why not; I will write about how I see Hulu. Hulu is now sadly, everywhere on the internet, you can "see" its videos under most news articles and such. But it's all USA-restricted, while the internet is still a worldwide thing as far as I know. So, dear Hulu, become a worldwide service or get the f*ck off my worldwide internet pages!
Oh and lastly, if you want to actually use Hulu, you have to go live in the USA or get a VPN... but I'm afraid a VPN alone will not be enough to register, since I read you can only register with your credit card or PayPal address, that belongs to a resident from the USA. I wouldn't be surprised the least if somebody would actually go through the hassle of getting a fake credit card just to be able to register. Hulu in my eyes is a parasite of the internet, with such limitations and should be either expanded or forgotten.
I started Live TV service on the 11th. I found out it does not work on the device in my bedroom, so I was going to cancel Live TV but keep streaming before it renewed. On the 2nd I was billed for the next month. Customer service told me that's the day they bill and my prior bill was prorated.
I said, fine, ok, please cancel Live TV and I explained why. I was told I would be charged an entire month and could not be issued a refund because I had "a lot of usage". I said, you just charged me today, how can that be a lot of usage? I was told that if I had only watched one show, they could have refunded it, but since I had the TV on in the background for a few hours, they refused. I escalated and was told the same thing. I asked for the next level up and was told there was no one higher to talk to.
So because I was STREAMING, not even watching live TV in the background for a few hours, they were refusing to refund the month I was not going to use. I told them to cancel my service completely.
I would have renewed the live TV portion of the service, and kept the streaming, once I upgraded my device in the bedroom, but not after that terrible customer service.
I never opted in for anything outside of the basic $11.99/month service. Then I got a rude awakening with a $42.26 charge for add-ons I didn't ask for. I then logged into my account to see that I had supposedly opted in for EVERYTHING at almost $100/month! I requested a refund and an immediate cancellation. If they had appealing programming beyond "The Handmaid's Tale", I might consider forgiveness. But everything else is a yawn fest. So, buh bye, Hulu.
This service is a total rip off! Stay Away! They try to lure you in with a free trial and then when you cancel the service even during the free trial period they post it later and force you to pay for the entire billing period even if you cancel before. For example they said that my cancellation didn't post until July 22 but even though I clearly don't want the service they are forcing me to pay until August 11. Stay away! Way too expensive and terrible customer service!
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
Answer: It's hulu yet clearing the cashe every time before starting Hulu is substandard there overloaded
