I bid on a recent auction. The process is seamless. I find what I like and add it to my Watch List. Then I can concentrate on bidding. Afterwards the invoice is sent very quickly and the process is done. This is a very easy experience and it makes me want to "shop" more!
I have called customer dozen times throughout the last couple years since I've been doing doing actions online, mostly for fraudulent auctioneers that I never receive the product, but they took my money. When I call there is nothing you guys can do except try to contact the auctioneers which I have done. I feel like if you are going to have people bid on your platform, we should be protected in someway. There has to be something that can be done. I've had a dispute at least seven times with my bank because of different auctioneers. Your customer service is friendly on the phone, but unfortunately, they tell me their hands are tied until you guys change the way you do business and establish something different to protect the customers. Also auctioneers rate us unfairly at a retaliation sometimes and then we don't get a opportunity to bid with other auction companies, there is no option for us to see ratings on options unless it's off of the platform

Recently one HiBid auction house has started hosting a number of auctions aimed at a very specific collectable. I appreciate their efforts, and I have enjoyed using the site. It's very easy to use, and very clear on whether you are winning or not. I particularly enjoy the "watch" function.

I have used Hibid multiple times. Only had an issue with a few out of state auctions. (Damaged items) I don't believe it's fair that sellers can rate buyers, however buyers cannot rate sellers. And buyers cannot see the reviews!

I've been watching HiBid Auctions for a few years now, and I've gotten some great things. This time not so great. I bid on two window covers and both were missing some of the pieces needed to mount them. I took them right back and it was taken care of.

When bidding at the last few minutes of auction was required to re-enter private info numerous times and was locked out of auction, very poor possible consumer treatment so I just quit bidding all together LOL saved me lots of money but cost you, if I was a company paid on commissions would probably look into fixing such a problem.

I thought I had won several items since the auctions were closing with my bid being last one placed, but it turns out the "winning" was at seller's discretion. Reserve wasn't met, so seller didn't want to let go of the items. Either have a minimum bid or make it clear to bidders that it's a seller's discretion. In the end, it was a total waste of my night.

Buy from hibid often. I dislike you cannot review the auction company's. For example I purchased a $200 gun and said company shipped in house and charged me $105 shipping (absurd). Another company i won TWO coins. Again charged $35 in house to ship. I get paying buyers premium but when an auction house is also profiting from shipping I think others should be made aware and likewise when a company is great to deal with, that also should be allowed to review.

The only pic was a box that appeared to be closed so was assuming it was new. There is absolutely no description of the item just 1 picture. Picked it up and the box was open and the tool had been well used.

I recently participated in a couple auctions over the last two weeks. I used a windows 10 computer and an IPhone 16. The computer was fine and had no issues. On the phone, I used the google app primarily on the phone. I could still view and bid on lots with no issues until the lots went "live". Just a minute or two left. The timer would count down and the price would update when people bid, but the bid button would not work for me. I tried repeatedly and sometimes it would go to the confirm bid screen but even then it would stop responding to input. I could go back to the previous page or even to a lot that was not "live" and normal function would return. It was frustrating because I would definitely have spent more money. I even switched to the safari browser on the iPhone and had the same issue.

Overall, hybrid is as good as any of the other online auctions platforms. However, high bed seems to really run into trouble during the closing and the bidding and the platform can't handle the number of bitters.

During the closing bidding, the platform freezes.You have to exit high bid completely.Sign back in to correct the problem.Missing bids and missing auction items
Screen touch sensitivity a problem, lost out on numerous lots because it far too slope to respond!
It's only gotten worse over time!
I just gave up trying, it's enough to upset and turn one off!
It needs to be recalibrated!

I recently bought a few things at auction, and things went smoothly except when I checked hibid for my current or past bids the lots I bid on and won were not listed anymore. I was a little confused why they were not showing up as current or past bids

HiBid has been, for the most part, a very stable bidding site. They seem to have a strong following across North America, with many options available to find what you are looking for. I usually stick to local auctions, but I have looked at many sites well outside my area and most appear to be very good auction sites, with many items available. In short, it remains my go to site for auctions.
I'm an experienced bidder and auctioneer on hibid and when I started bidding on the channel letters halfway into it the site locked up. I refreshed the page and couldn't get back in for a while, then got back it but couldn't bid, then could bid one time then it would lock up again.

I was having issues navigating Hi-Bid using the browser on my cell phone. I switched to a tablet and it simplified my searching and bidding.
So far so good with actual bidding. I've won 2 auctions, I have not received those purchases yet. I'm hopeful that I will not disappointed with my first experience with HIBid. It seems to be a good concept.

It's easy to follow the items throughout the auctions. I go through and pick items to save for when the auction starts. Then I follow them when they come up. There's always last minute bidders so you have to continuously watch your items.

I think the online auctions are great. The prices are good.and the items are great. Like any auction, you are not always going to be interested in the majority of the items, but I always find interesting things to bid on.
During loading my brother comment the need for cleaning the expensive bed set and several other wooden items I had purchased. I asked why? He said they had mold on them. And when we loaded them we found several pieces had water damage on the bottom. None of this was disclosed in the descriptions or the photos. All together I spent $335 on the auction, plus renting a haul, drove in white out and blizzard conditions to pick it up after being told pick up was today no matter the weather, and had to wait for someone to get off work to help me load things. Hopefully the first auction items that are being shipped to me don't come damaged as well...

I bid on a vintage Santa out of state so I requested shipping. This particular auction site used an outside packing service. I think the packers wrapped the Santa so tight that it broke during the shipping process. I immediately notified the auction site and was instructed to call another number which I did. I was then instructed to send pictures via email which I did. It's been over three weeks and I've heard nothing from the auction site or the packers as to a refund.

Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
