Working as an RA, I do a considerable amount of academic writing, and Grammarly is a lifesaver when it comes to missed commas and other minor errors; however, there are some cons.
Firstly, It is very pricey compared to similar services. An annual subscription is nearly 139.50 USD, which is absurd.
Secondly, it fails to catch some significant errors. For example:
"If Conan O'Brien meat you, he'd eat you."
On the plus side, my Reddit comments have fewer errors, which means fewer Redditors PMing me death threats and telling me to kill myself, which is nice!
I'd love to tell everyone about choosing Grammarly cuz it's such a comfortable time to spend with it. It improves your English skills and teaches you new ways of forming sentences, grammar. If you don't know English well, don't worry just go sign up. Believe me, it's a great help
As a professional journalist/writer, I thought that I had excellent skills in language, punctuation, and other tools of the trade. It wasn't until I used Grammarly that I discovered that there were many errors I was making with my professional and personal writings. Grammarly helped to point these out and made me a better writer than I already was. It truly is an invaluable tool for anyone who writes, whether it is professional work or just a post on Facebook.
For a few years, I have been using Grammarly for writing stories, emails, resumes, and comments on Facebook, Twitter, and Word. I have always been happy with the results, and have recommended to all of my Facebook friends why they should use it, especially those that have terrible sentence structure and spelling. What a difference it made for them.
Grammarly has always helped me with my writing for school. The usual spell check isn't as good on Google docs, so I switched to Grammarly. Grammarly is my most favorite spell check program ever. Even without Premium, it is still very good in helping you correct your writing. It is fast and efficient, and also very easy to use!
Grammarly helps you whether your error of the English Grammar is unintentional or not knowledgeable. It changes the word automatically at times or puts a red line under the errored word, with suggestions. It's as simple as that. I would love to subscribe, but, the subscription is a bit out of pocket for me. Surely, will wait for a discount offer, whenever it comes up, and, which will be relative to my pocket, then subscribe. Until then, will use the Free Version. Thanks to Grammarly for this wonderful grammar option.
I decided to give this a try, I'm glad I did. It really works well and gives me confidence when writing emails. It's simple, all you do is type whatever and Grammarly jumps in to make corrections and suggestions.
I love it. It makes me smarter than I am.
It doesn't actually suck, its just bad. Right now it is making me do writing worth of 50 characters and I don't like grammarly so my spelling and grammar are really bad right right now. Sincerely, Curious George the III
Good Evening, I see the advertisements all the time and I was writing my college essay and I thought going through it would be a good idea, better than google docs checking. I opened up my Grammarly tab and I read over it multiple times. I wrote one sentence saying "Being able to perform was my way out." Grammarly changed it to PEOPLE. Instead of being. I am furious. I am angry. I better get into college and if not Grammarly will be paying for my life. Thank You. Have a Good day.

It quickly grasps not only mistakes but other grammar and style faults too. I found many occasions I write two words that is actually one word. The only missing point is the capitalization of the first letter of a sentence.
I hate this, I had typed over 2000 words for a school essay and Grammarly said there was an error with their spell checker and deleted everything! This is a scam. Microsoft comes with a spell checker that works perfectly, or you can try easybib, even better! Grammarly sucks!
Grammarly has proved to be a complete life saver for me. I am currently a student at Independence University and this program has helped me greatly in all the writing I have had to do thus far in my studies.
This application helps me to stay on track with my writing and grammar skills. It corrects and suggests, plus is so easy to use.
I like to write a lot of stories, whether they are scary or dramatic Grammarly helps my writing out a bunch. Grammarly gives you free access to grammar check, spelling, and punctuation. Not only that it tells you how your writing may sound to other people reading it. Grammarly can be used almost on any program that involves writing such as Google Docs, Gmail, Messanger, and a bunch of others. Not only that but it helps me with how I want to word something. Grammarly has been a great help so I give it my help with this feedback.
Since I started using Grammarly, my life has been so much easier. I don't need to worry to make some embarrassing typos while texting my friends or writing an important e-mail to my boss. It's very user-friendly and intuitive. Helps me out every time! What is really like is that it is kinda hidden in my browser but it's always there if I need it.
I've found Grammerly to be helpful most of the time. Obviously if I could access some of the paid content for free, I'd be even happier. Going premium not an option at the moment, as I'm a financially impecunious student... (hint, hint)...
I've been a copywriter for 25 years and no matter how hard I work on spotting typos and silly mistakes, there are always a few that slip[ the net. This is especially the case for longer-form content on which I am so closely focused, that I become blind to errors. I know other copywriters I've spoken to say the same thing. Grammarly makes a world of difference to this scenario, picking things up and making useful suggestions that ultimately speed up time to publication - and that's just the free version. It's also great for internal communications with colleagues using tools like Slack.
Awesome. Now the machines can tell us (badly - and no better than the equally clunky grammar/spell check on the abomination that it MS Word) how to write.
One could, however, just use their human brain and a bit of care and thought to write effectively in their own language. Learn, practice, write, read, give a sh! T. Then you'll write more effectively and correctly. You know, like a friggin' human.
A few years ago a former supervisor suggested using Grammarly for emails and general correspondence. I have been using it since and pleased with what it discovers with my writing. I also like how it provides a weekly report of tones, top grammar issues.
Grammarly is well worth the money, that is what I tell my classmates! Having to write weekly discussions and essays using APA format, this has made it a breeze to edit and get things submitted on time. I have a 4.0 GPA in my sophomore year of my 4-year bachelor's degree in human services! Glad I tried it out!
Answer: I agree with everyone else. I have been using grammarly for almost 2 years and I never had a problem with viruses or anything. It is a good product and well worth the investment.
Answer: Only for premium but everything else is free It's great!
Answer: Hi, Cath! We're sorry to hear about that. We care deeply about the satisfaction of our users, and we want to address any issues we can in order to improve. Could you please submit a support ticket via https://gram.ly/sitejabber so we can check on your request?
Answer: Make sure you have set it to your language, as the default is American English, and you may need to change it. If you don't need to, remember that you could have failed for other reasons (not enough information, too much information, using Grammarly as a tool that will get everything right etc.).
Answer: There is a limit, but I find that only a minor inconvenience. If the document goes over the size limit, just cut and paste the document by halves or thirds and run Grammarly checks on each part.
Answer: linguisoft.com - Gtrammarian PRO is a good one.
Answer: Hi, Aleksandra! We can't expect Grammarly to work effectively with song lyrics because grammar rules are often ignored altogether to add aesthetic elements to them. If you have any other questions, please contact us directly at http://gram.ly/3zJAHbw.
Answer: Hi, John! This shouldn't be happening, but if you are experiencing this issue, we suggest contacting our technical support team via: gram.ly/3zJAHbw. They can help you troubleshoot this issue. We hope this helps!
Answer: Hi, Anne! If you need to recover any of your recently deleted documents, contact our support team by submitting a ticket through this link: gram.ly/3zJAHbw. We might be able to recover them!
