Grammarly

I have been impressed by the degree to which Grammarly has caught my mistakes and generally improved my writing. However, I do have one frustration with the product. Too often Grammarly flags as mistakes my attempts to express emphasis. For example, let's say I have a colleague on my nonprofit board who needs to address a problem, but he is adamant that someone else needs to find a solution. I might write the following to another board member: "He himself needs to address the problem." Grammarly identifies this as unclear and suggests I remove the intensive pronoun ("himself"). I disagree. I intentionally included the pronoun "himself" to emphasize that the solution does not lie elsewhere. Rather, my colleague must fix the problem himself because he is in the best position to do so. This is a subtle point that Grammarly seems unable to discern as a legitimate form of expression.

I love using Grammarly. It helps me with my Grammar, Punctuation, and all of the other things that it offers for free. I do think that Grammarly charges too much for, "Grammarly Premium." $12 a month is a lot to pay, that would be $144 dollars a year.

Not very impressed with Grammarly. I live in Canada and I did not realize that the price listed on the website was in American funds, even after I entered my postal code there was nothing on the screen to indicate that I would be paying in a different currency. Immediately after receiving an email with my receipt I requested a refund and was told that I would not be given a refund, but could have my subscription changed to a one month subscription for $29. I responded saying that I would contact my credit card company and let them know what had happened if they are unable to give me a full refund. I have since received an email saying that I will receive a full refund.

This tool helps my messages become more accurate and legible. In my field of project management in construction, my communication and getting my message across in a professional manner is of the utmost importance to gain the best results for our business and the project.

I'm a best-selling author who bought the Premium version to help me edit my new book. I understand the limitations of the number of characters but it doesn't matter. I have spent the last 3 hours trying to get Grammarly to work in Word on windows 11 and 10. It constantly failed. It would find over a thousand suggestions but i couldnt actually click accept. I uninstalled and re installed multiple times. I cleared my cache like the forums online suggest. Nothing was working. I finally started copy pasting single chapters into the browser version and that works but only barely.

After about 20 minutes all of the edits that i had skipped because i didn't like the suggestion popped right back as if i never addressed them.

The interface is clunky at best. I want a refund. Frankly its been so terrible i feel like I should be paid jsut for how garbage it is and all the time I've wasted trying to use it.

Never buy this product.

I like Grammarly a lot. My friends say it's a virus, but Grammarly is not. At least I think it is...
This has helped me with my schoolwork. It's even helping me write this review right now. I love how it checks your tone as well. For example, when I'm emailing my teacher I always want to sound appreciative of them. Grammarly helps me with that. The only thing that I dislike about Grammarly is how it only checks English. When I am writing something for my Spanish class, Grammarly is always saying that my work is incorrect. Grammarly, you are amazing. So why do you do this? Expand your horizons a little. Actually it may be because I am not premium, but still. Other than that, I worship Grammarly. It is possibly the best website ever. Install Grammarly for Chrome. Your life will be changed.

Grammarly is far too expensive for what it offers. Subscription based software models are universally frowned upon as being greedy and dishonest. But Grammarly takes this unethical business practice to a whole new level by imposing outrageous financial demands on the consumer.

It's worth noting that both the Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite premium subscriptions, though still highly unsavory, offer several hundred times the value while remaining less of a financial burden than Grammarly.

In regards to Grammarly's ability to perform it's intended functions effectively, you might be surprised to learn that writing which Grammarly critiques without objection can consistently earn you a C from an English teacher.

At most, Grammarly is a simple toy that should not be taken seriously. It is not, as the price-tag implies, a robust industrial suite of professional tools used at a corporate level.

Superb assistant tool... extremely versatile and help iis always around..., whenever wherever you write rewrite, edit, or even edit mail meassages.
Saves format after editing an names it as such. Your original 'copy'remains viable if you still need it!
Very much looking forward for an added value: tTRANSLATION! ( at least on two or three more cardinal language starting by french. Opt for Premium worth it to the last penny... at least this is MY conviction. Billing receipts need a boost

I mean, seriously? Seriously? Another damn 1 minute ad? I get its space would be filled with something else were it not for you, but i would rather watch 10 minutes of just paint drying than hear another one of your probably underpaid actors talk about how good and free it is. Apparently it's not! Even! Free! And the service that you get without paying is a simple spellcheck which you can literally use your autocorrect keyboard or instant messaging services for. I also hear that you went down the classic road of charging people for the service after they'd agreed to pay for a month. Real classy. Every precious minute you rob me of from now on will result in another bad review on another site. Maybe i'll start a blog! Maybe i'll run a facebook hate group! Whichever site gets me on the main page first, so you go bankrupt and i don't have to hear any of it again
