Grammarly

I totally love Grammarly. It doesn't just correct grammar or spelling mistakes but it also adjusts how your writing sounds so you seem more professional. I really only have 1 complaint and that would be that I wish instead of having to go over each individual mistake and fix it, Grammarly would just automatically fix it and then you could go back and change it if you need. Otherwise, great work!

First of all, as I have already stated before it is incorrect. The use of comma at least should be properly understood and it is not.

The main reason however for this review is the potential for huge security and privacy issues. Especially if you use it for a company. I work in the security domain and I found no way to allow my colleagues to use Grammarly and keep my company's assets secure. Be absolutely sure that you know what they get from your computer before you use this!

Grammarly is very useful. Firstly, it eliminates spelling mistakes and that's a big advantage. It also advises on the right usage of articles. However, its advice on articles is not always correct and this aspect needs improvement. It helps in making the message look professional. However, its judgment of "how the text sounds" is, most of the times, incorrect. To summarize, this is definitely a good extension but a few times, you may need to ignore its recommendations. I have not used its premium version and would like to have a peek into what it is so that I can decide if it is worth purchasing.

I am not a native English speaker, I learned English as the language of communication as I progressed through my years of schooling.
When school ends, English speaking also ends as we communicate in our mother tongue and local languages.

That is why being employed and trying to now communicate in English is mentally draining and is always a stop-start, think, formulate, read, write, rewrite experience.
Many of the people I know give up their education and opportunities to seek employment just because of the fear of being put down because of their poor English.
Grammarly is like having my own personal English tutor correcting and guiding me along. It mentally frees my mind as my thoughts, energy and ideas flow freely. Thank You

I've been seeing a lot of low star reviews for this lately, so I just wanted to say, with my experience using Grammarly for Microsoft Word, (the free version,) it has helped a lot, and caught a lot of errors that I thought the Microsoft Word check would have found. I have also seen people saying it costs too much, but what they don't realize is that if they do the math, they will find out that it costs less to do an upfront payment for a year of Grammarly premium. You also get to adjust your settings; for instance, if you want to allow slang in your text, you can change your settings very easily, and you can see how well you are doing compared to other Grammarly users. I saw someone in a review say that they wish that the premium version was more easily accessible, but for an amazing text editor, they should at least be able to make some money off of it, right?

I have been using the free version of Grammarly for some time. Today I have an essay due for my english comp class. Grammarly has declined all of my attempts to join as a premium paying member. I did check with my bank and credit card company, there is no issue on my end. Grammarly has frustrated me to no end today. I believe the issue is on their end and is most likely related to order processing bugs. I do not see a way to call them directly regarding this issue. I have left several emails for them and have been given claim numbers. Grammarly has not contacted me to resolve the concern and is obviously is not interested in my business. Hindsight is 20/20 and I should not have procrastinated until the day my paper is due to experience these issues. It's Still frustrating. I will be looking elsewhere for proofreading assistance.

Company is misleading people with their "monthly" subscription which actually incurs a non-refundable annual fee. Their phone reps are trained to deny refunds. Be mindful that this is a company that claims its mission is to "improve lives by improving communication" And they lie. AVOID.
